Everyone says it's the vanguard. I just started a playtrough and will find out I guess

Vanguard In ME2 and 3 is where the real hype for the class is.
In 1 it's just a stunted Soldier class, but with some biotic attacks.

I couldn't into Vanguard in ME2 and 3. I'd always just zoom in and die. MEA's Vanguard was fun though, really the only class that worked with the game's big environments.

Adept is hilariously busted, I recommend it for anyone who wants to turn Mass Effect into a VN with occasional point-and-click segments.

I use the pistol to maximize my charging time to spam push and nova

I don't remember what it was called, but full space magic class was the dopest in both ME1 and 2.

Is the class too gimmicky in 2 and 3? I've played the games as a soldier and infiltrator already and kinda liked the standard shooter style

Who is the best waifu and why is it Liara?

Attached: Liara-Censored.webm (1600x900, 2.52M)

It's Tali. This isn't even up for debate.

Zoom in with a shotgun of your choice and the carnifex and you won’t be dying anymore, get an assault rifle to hose them down after you mag dump the shotgun and pistol

Yup, wifed Tali everytime.

It's the only way to play 2 that makes it something other than a turret simulator. Still far less efficient than a soldier with the mattock and maxed adrenaline.

It's a bit better in 3 though.

It's both the most OP and the buggiest class. You're pretty much invincible slamming into enemies. That is if the surrounding geometry allows you to. Sometimes there's a straight line but something blocks you or you get stuck where you are or in the middle.

Solider Chad here. I played these rpgs with normie friends and let them pick the class.

oh and ofc i helped us get to the best endings (only in 1,2) and end up with every girl (we agree liara is the best)

>3
>Vanguard

Adept. I'm planning on doing ME again after nearly a decade and will go Adept.

Biotic charge is gimmicky, but fun if you get the hang of it.
It's much more forgiving in 3 since you can give yourself ability cooldown bonuses with different skill upgrades and armor cosmetics. You can very easily turn your guy into a never-ending, unkillable, fire-ball if you set it up right.

Vanguard in 2 isn't as good because there's no Nova and melee sucks. Vanguard in 3 is kino because you just rush everyone, nova the area, then melee/shotgun the survivors. Also throw the dubstep bubbles at things

The best class (in 2/3 at least) is clearly the Infiltrator. Being able to pop in and out of invisible mode and get a big damaage bonus every time you do is amazing. You can run around to any place in the battlefield to get a better vantage point and kill the big targets in 1 sniper shot. In 3 you can even play as a shotgun infiltrator and run up right in front of a group and be like a more fun vanguard.

My infiltrator brother. I have way too much fun in that class just popping heads like it's nothing.

Too bad class is shit in second game

(((female human))) hands typed this

vanguard in ME1 is pretty fucking powerful due to how biotics work, you can lift and throw enemies around like their ragdolls while eviscerating them with your shotgun

Who here /engineer/

Can we all agree that Ass Effect was always a pretty shit series?

biotics > tech
at least in mass effect 1

>implying humans doesn't have best faces in ME

Attached: 15830047452570.jpg (582x741, 43K)

Reminder mass effect is utter trash with literally zero redeeming qualities and is the series that set the bar so extremely low for Western RPGs for all of eternity. Anyone who likes it should be shamed.

They were pretty great in 2 and 3 since they could fight everything with just incinerate, overload, and drones

>N7 Code of Honor
tell her that her boyfriend has good taste and that he should party up with me and my guys sometime. my gamer handle is N7_D3str0yer and I main the heavy classes. my favorite entry in the series was the one about the Skyllian War but I'm really pumped for the Shanxi dlc coming out in a few months.

>Mass Effect
>RPG
it's an action-adventure with an occasional good/evil choice. You don't get to design your character besides a couple irrelevant background anecdotes (that have no real effect on the game), you don't get to really craft your characters motivations, and the game essentially railroads you from one conclusion to the next.
This does not mean Mass Effect is a bad game but it definitely is not an RPG.

*laughs at finite ammo*

>What's the best class
Uninstall.exe. no biocuck trash on my machine.

It does absolutely nothing well

It's mediocre in every single way. The combat is boring and trash. The RPG elements are boring and trash. The dialogue is boring and trash. The world building is boring and trash. It literally does NOTHING well.

>It does absolutely nothing well
It's actually does, for a first two games

i just started my yearly trilogy playthrough and i decided to give Adept a whirl
it aint bad, but im probably gonna go vanguard in 2 and 3 cause i really enjoy the charge

I do like the universe and some of the characters, and going across the Uncharted Worlds is pretty fun (for me), but I do agree that the combat is shit and the dialogue is usually janky, especially with Ashley and Kaidan.

Where the fuck did this God tier music go as the franchise progressed?

>It does absolutely nothing well
ME1 and ME2 had absolutely gorgeous HFY World Building

everyone shut the fuck up and tell me what mods to get for ME1
it's a first playthrough
my computer is good enough for the most intensive vr

Dont. It *will* crash every given chance if you install all those 4k meme mods even with LAA enabled.

Mass Effect 3 had great music. Mass Effect 2 is pretty unmemorable aside from The End Run and The Illusive Man.

Infiltrator as Run and Gun Class works really well. Cloak has a super fast cool down, like 3 seconds, so you can spam it and zip around everywhere. Just punch everything while invisible and blind fire the sniper point blank. It's how ME2 was meant to be played.

For me, it's vanguard. I'm always down for a spellsword type class.

Bros, why did it go to shit? I loved ME1. I thought 2 was great, the gameplay was better but the story wasn't as fun. And then 3 happened.

Now Bioware is on life support.

Bros, I want to go back. I entirely blame women and diversity hires for Bioware's downfall. Entirely.

>It *will* crash every given chance if you install all those 4k meme mods
Why lie? last time I played ME1 I installed those "meme" mods and I didn't have a single crash.

earthborn/sole survivor

soldier/shock trooper

>earthborn

TERRA FIRMA

infiltrator master race

I understand Ruthless and War Hero but how does Sole Survivor make you a good Spectre candidate?

Now that it's all but confirmed that both e.t.s have been visiting earth, and mars has at least bacterial life, what does that say about the future of scifi games? Will this usher an era of new ME-like games? Will ayys play ME and have fun with us?

it went mainstream, sadly

Don't listen to that guy. If you want nice graphics that keep to original style, get ALOT and other stuff in the recommendations - rebaked high-res shadowmaps, improved hair textures, etc. It has links in the description on the Nexus. And there are torrent files for large files so you're not stuck downloading 10 gigs of data off slow servers.
That page also has a link to custom NV Inspector profile that explains how to force AA and AO.

Other than that there are things like Faster Elevators and ME Recalibrated (fan bug fix patch) that won't affect gameplay. For second playthrough I would also bind the game speed-up to middle mouse button in config in order to make tedious collection side-quests with a lot of walking/driving more palatable.

Vanguard with the Geth shotgun = God mode. Always bring Javik and Liara for the biotic combo.

Kill Banshee in 20 seconds.

That's basically every class in Mass Effect 1. Infiltrator is basically just a soldier with tech abilities.

I'm replaying the games now on harder difficulty because of nostalgia and decided to go with vanguard again because I remember it being fun.
Well, in ME1 this class is not particularly interesting. Basically a soldier with some biotic abilities.
In ME2, charge is essentially suicide until the second half of the game when some damage protection/hp% upgrades are picked up. Difficulty level forces to stay in cover while shooting with a pistol or SMG from a distance, because otherwise the character dies in a few seconds.
Haven't gotten to there yet, but I remember this class being much more fun in ME3/Andromeda, because they added some AoE control and you don't instantly die after slamming into a group of enemies.

How's Palaven?

Adept is broken as fuck in ME1 especially you add in Assault Training (Adrenaline Burst) through a New Game+ character generation (beaten the game via a Soldier)

Adapts got hit hard by the nerf bat in ME2 while toned back up in ME3 to be viable.

>Haven't gotten to there yet, but I remember this class being much more fun in ME3/Andromeda, because they added some AoE control and you don't instantly die after slamming into a group of enemies.
Actually in three game vanguard sucks gameplay-wise
