Yes you should. I use my pentamelded gear to make stuff for myself and grade 3 tinctures to sell.
I still make most my gil from worldhopping and reselling materia, aethersands and crystals. Currently sea swallow skins and lignum vitae lumbers sell really well on my world and duskblossoms and ashen alumen are the most profitable of the new timed nodes materials.
Best way to make gil is to stockpile hundreds of materia when it's cheap between patches and resell once big raid tier/new crafted gear (combar ot crafter/gatherer) come out.

savage is rather easy. 4th floors may, or may not, pose a problem, depending on the patch/expansion.

ultimate is another story tho.

so just find a casual group and do savage once a week, and ull get ur clear with garbage food/potions/materia/gear.

bardums run if undergeared, does roughly equal dmg to the healers output. if too many crits happen, or the DPS take too long (also being undergeared usually) then cooldowns wear off, and healers run out of instant casts. (this is mostly a WHM problem)
healer gets targeted for an AoE, and has to decide, sit still, and keep the tank up, or dodge, despite having no emergency heals left/swift.
dodge, tank dies, before cast finishes.
dont dodge, u die, tank dies right after.

most common in the 1st pull of bardums (withe the bear tearing into tank,a nd faces making u dodge alot)
and in the castle, due to the giants cleaves making u dodge alot, and the giant itself hits like an entire pack of mobs on its own.

outside of that, there's not much thats hard.
its also 10 times easier as AST/SCH with insta heals. WHM was much harder. mega pulls at the start of those 2 dungeosn were almost always a wipe until we were all geared, and DPS werent shit.

Lv cap dungeons are hard to get groups, even as tank, since there's no reason to do them. the roulette bonus is like 5% of a level of exp. and the mobs inside give garbage exp as well.

i sure as hell would never queue up for a 50/60/70 dungeon. but if my friends need help getting in, only if i queue with them, will i help do them.

Your ranged attack and provoke have increased enmity generation. I usually throw those on whatever I'm pulling, then use an AoE or two to "confirm" it. Then you just do whatever your rotation is. It's the same for every tank.

The problem isn't parsing, its fflogs which will soft-ban players from playing savage content before they even get a chance to improve. Blacklisting is being abused in a way it was not meant to be used.
Parsing itself is harmless though and is necessary to give dps accountability just as tanks and healers are supposed to be held accountable for their jobs
