Having just played it recently, its really fun I like a lot o fthings about, I have some issues with it

All in all its fun, I wish the blood nest events lasted longer, needed higher enemy density, and while nightmare was hard, ultra violence was too easy, creating a dispairity in the gameplay, I did greatly like having more than fucking 2 guns again. Needed more gibs and gore, but was nice for what it had

not as good as painkiller but pretty solid/10

Resource menagment and target prioritization are not a factor in this game. Those 2 being primary distinctive features of "boomer shooter"/90s shooter.

its fast paced high action fps that let you have more than 2 guns, its basically the demons souls of fps, a return to form game that also introduces more modern elements.
personally I think its fine like others say glory kills are garbo but i also find it visually cluttered, tho i feel like a lot of games post 2015 are very cluttered so could be just me. classic doom 1+2 (special mention to doom 64) are still better i just recommend playing it with mods but check out 2016 to make your own opinion.

i know on harder difficulties ammo is more sparce but i wouldnt call it a primary feature. i feel like switching between weapons was much more prominent. like you were expected to switch your weapons for every encountee
