I will forever regret that I was a bit too young to play the game to its fullest, I still have loads of fun but never got into high end content, pvp, even jewing the open economy

We'll never see any game like it. Nothing will ever come close, nobody wants to take up that task. What a truly sad fate. The best we'll ever get is the one day in the future when the source code gets leaked and someone makes a private server and MAYBE new content.

Random Arenas and Team Arenas is the bread and butter of normal pvp and you saw some crazy shit sprout up.

I remember running a Its just a flesh wound paragon support build in RA and pray to god I ran into a monk healer and we'd literally be unkillable and carry the team into TA queue, then die to a 4 man ride the lightning.

GvG was some fun shit too, each person having an extremely integral part in the whole strategy.

Truly a based game.

I loved guild wars as much as the next chad but all it took was a quick google to find the best builds in the game which could be created in 5 minutes thanks to the ability to make pvp characters, there's not much skill in copying builds.
Great game though.

Did you even pvp in guild wars outside of farming balth rep?

There were meta builds, but the viable builds for RA and even 4 man TA groups were quite numerous.

There were many builds but the existence of an easily accessible wiki for everyone to take advantage removes skill from the equation.
It was fun, not skillful.

The versatility of the guild wars skill system allowed you to heavily modify net builds to your own liking as well.

There were no "best builds" only synergies and using those synergies effectively to spike or maintain damage, to mitigate or find gaps to revive, etc.

There are so many skills in guild wars there is no best builds for pvp man. With ranger alone you had like 5 situational spirits that depended on your team for their viability, or even on comps you planned on running into.

I really doubt you played pvp at all outside of trapper farming.

Why isn't arenanet doing anything like this to entice people back to gw, instead of just keeping the servers running with noone playing in them? I'd like to return at sometimes but it's just so depressing when everythings deserted.
