The demo felt very lifeless and empty compared to the RE2 remake demo we got last year. That game was just oozing with soul and passion, but this demo just feels very empty in comparison.
I think that modern Final Fantasy is all style and no substance. All anyone can talk about is how great everything looks and how great the production values are. No one's mentioning how much of a chore it is to go down linear FF13-tier hallways with FF15 combat.

Last one i remember is fucking Ace Combat, i never thought i'd see shitposts on fucking Ace Combat threads but here we are.

Do they though? Do they really? Companies have a habit of saying that "nobody likes X" anymore, and then they get proven wrong. "No one likes turn based games", and then Bravely Default happened. "No one likes horror", but then PT, RE7, and the like happened. Hell, remember how many times they tried to say "No one wants single player games"? They're never correct.

Ehhh, I'd say give it another 15-20 years. 10 years because that's how long its going to take to get the completed game and another 5-10 years for discussions to die down. But let's get serious here, final fantasy threads were always shit.
