It's a shame its best exclusive is a damn compliation of old games. In terms of MS-funded games, this gen sucked ass. They were either undercooked or cancelled, while Ori and Cuphead got ported to the competition. I didn't own one, but I played my brother's. I might get a Series X only if it's fully backward compatible with every Xbox game ever.

I sold my OG bone and got the Xbone X this week because I was pissed off at how bad FF13 looked on the original and needed a 4K device to use the on my 4K TV

im pretty sure they confirmed hardware level BC for all 3 prior generations of xbox. based on details so far the xbox offers more than the ps5, but we will see which one is better once release gets closer

Nothing particularly too good however xbone and Microsoft have been very consumer friendly as of late and I'm all for it. Shame about these yearly online subscriptions that they popularized.

I use three of them as media centers throughout the house. Game Pass is great, too. Still prefer playing on PC, but not a bad console overall.

Absolute dog shit. I didn't think it was possible for a company to make a console shittier than Nintendo (Ouya doesn't count) but I clearly stand corrected. At the very least, Nintendo has it's shitty 1st party rehashes and gimmick bullshit. X1 had absolutely NOTHING. Literally every port is better on PS4 or PC. The player base is more populated on PS4. Literally the only thing X1 has that gives it an advantage over Sony and Nintendo is that it has LEGIT backwards compat and that was just a last ditch effort made by Microsoft the console wasn't a complete and utter fucking flop. The Games with Gold shit is probably somewhat better than Sony, although in the last 2-3 years Sony's PS Plus games have been getting more and more AAA titles (and a lot newer more recent releases becoming PS Plus games).

It has no reason to exist, yet here we are. Halo, what was once the big system seller, is now entirely on PC. PSN has now reached full feature parity with Xbox Live, so XBL as a service isn't as enticing anymore (PSN, while once having free online multiplayer, didn't have party chat, cheevos, name changes, etc, until later) All the big first party exclusives are "Play Anywhere" titles and are basically mandated to be ported to PC. All that's keeping Xbox in what relevancy it has left is brand recognition and Microsoft's infinitely deep pockets. However, both it and PS4 have no cheaters online, so that's one caveat. But if you're going to play singleplayer games, why not just get it on PC where there's mods?

This thing is trash. The only thing g worth playing on it (it's back catalog from a generation ago) is made weirdly inconvenient for no fucking reason. I spent 20 dollars on this shit ass console because PSO2 is going to be trapped on it and I still feel ripped off. The UI is terrible, I can hear it randomly kicking on and off sometimes. Controllers still running on AAs like its fucking 2007. What the actual fuck?

That's an Xbox 360 backwards compatible title, which can still connect with modded 360s. I'm talking about native Xbox One multiplayer games. You won't find any cheaters there unless if the game has cross-platform with PC.

I actually did boot up Black Ops II and MW3 multiplayer recently and they were still fun, but modded hosts still kicking around this many years post-launch just killed it for me after a few days. That, and shitty third world hosts dominating the round from the latency advantage alone. Peer-to-peer was a mistake.

I can play banjo tooie, ninja gaiden 2, sonic unleashed, current games, game pass games, and have friends there. 9/10, will be 10/10 once ORI 2 and PSO2 come out this month. I have a ps4 but sonys flavors of games are worthless to me. The whole walk slowly while exposition is dumped, find some soi collectibles with an essay of lore not one person in this universe cares about, press square to magnet falcon punch a bleating enemy with no ai in it. If it werent for bloodborne and danganronpa i never would have got it. Will be getting a series x to keep having fun
