>Suddenly gets some upgraded demon form just kind of because
>Stops Dante and Vergil's clash at the same time
>Makes some shitty comment about other ways to solve your problems besides violence
>Kicks the shit out of Vergil..somehow
Is Nero literally an OC?
Suddenly gets some upgraded demon form just kind of because
>Is Nero literally an OC?
He's Vergil's son and Vergil had just gotten through fighting Dante at his full power for a while. It's also kind of obvious he's supposed to be a hotblooded shonen hero so they gave him a power of resolve upgrade to Deus Ex Machina his way to victory since he didn't want a repeat of what happened to Credo. It's not really much more of an asspull than Dante unlocking super duper dragon sparda DT after Trish got shit on by Mundus in DMC1.
Well Nero always had that kind of power. his Arm, before it was ripped off, was permanently in DT.
Also noteworthy is that Nero got through Urizen's shield when Dante couldn't, even though he lost access to his DT and an arm.
>Super Duper Dragon Sparda DT
That was cool as all hell. I really wish Nero got to use Sparda before it got absorbed. Seeing him violently swinging that thing around would've been cathartic.
Why did they make nero so fucking ugly in this? I still havent gotten dmc 5 because of it
The only difference in his face is that he has laugh lines. And since he's always smirking, they're always pronounced.
you might be surprised to learn that all fictional characters, are infact, OCs
Everyone looks a little ugly
>Trish looks like a crackhead
>Lady has a huge manly jaw
DMC3's story was a fluke, the writing for the franchise has gone down hill ever since. 5 reignited the sibling rivalry when it should have been buried by 1, it retroactively shat on Vergil's character in 3, all so Nero could have his 2 minute "family moment" and then they fuck off and fly away. It's actually hilarious that for whatever reason Dante and Vergil at no point thought to themselves "maybe we shouldn't be fighting each other all the time" until Nero comes into the picture and gives a shitty speech and in the span of that moment suddenly it's bygones be bygones and now they're super pals and not angry at each other anymore.
He looks fucking fantastic, though. It's not like he has fucked up teeth or terrible skin. It shouldn't affect you, unless you're gay or a woman. Even then, you're in the extreme minority.
DMC3 being such a good/heartfelt story about family while being such a silly over-the-top action game genuinely does seem like a fluke in retrospect.
Nero should have stabbed himself with Rebellion while having the sword of Sparda on his back and then eat the fruit of the tree
Well, that was fucking painful. Good lord.
>kind of because
>dt always activated in stressful situations
>nero motivated to save his real family
>kind of because
Ok
>Stops Dante and Vergil's clash at the same time
>Kicks the shit out of Vergil..somehow
It's the same situation as Arkham kicking their asses in M13.
>nero so fucking ugly in this
I don't see it.
he's chad, user
hair could be better though
It's fucking weird how I can see a little it of JYB in his face.
Dante and Vergil had been fighting for like half an hour or so up until that point. They were weakened. As shown in DMC3, After Dante and Vergil's second fight they're to worn out to the point that fucking Arkham of all people is able to kick both their asses and Lady's all at the same time.
The point of Nero's part in the Sons of Sparda storyline was that, not only had Vergil failed, but Dante had failed as well. He had never been able to save his brother and he had given up on being able to. Everyone in this series has always gotten true power from protecting those they love or fighting for a truly just cause, all the way back to Sparda. Nero ending the rivalry was not a physically victory, but one of embodying the morals that Devil May Cry has always predominantly touted. He's not stronger than somebody in Sin DT, although he might be one day. You also aren't naturally more powerful for being more human than demon on a proportional level. This is something retards misunderstand because they watch to much DBZ and misrepresent what Trish was saying.
Are you retarded? His DT looks just like Credo, he was speaking about Credo beforehand, he tapped into his feelings of guilt and rage and used that to finally accept who he was after the uncertainty he showed during DMC4. Dante got his Sin DT by embracing his demon half in stabbing himself with Sparda, the most painful thing short of losing Kyrie for Nero in comparison was remembering Credo's death; this led to the true DT for both of them. His power level was fucking busted but I think a well-rested Dante could easily waste him, which is shown in the cutscene after anyway.
I used to despise Nero in 4 but god DMC5 Nero is such a chad I wouldn't mind if he's in every DMC hereafter as long as Dante is still an unlockable.
congrats user though unless you used a super character, how the fuck did you not get an S rank? I thought it was guaranteed if you did all 101 floors legit.
Vergil had been a fucked up demonslave zombie who had been horrifically tortured for 20 years. Pretty much all that was left of him was his desire to defeat Dante. Splitting in two and his experiences as V brought him back to Earth and taught him the true gravity of his crimes. When he reforms (which was never his actual plan) it is for one last final gambit to get the answers he has been looking for most of his life.
By holding the Yamato hostage he is forcing Dante to fight him to the death and nothing can change his mind at this point. If Dante is stronger than his idealogy would have been the one that was right and Vergil will have died, which I would assume he believed he deserved to for the deaths he inadvertently caused in DMC5. If Vergil had beat Dante I would wager that he wouldn't have actually killed him. Being V had changed him. If he had won it would have re-affirmed his belief that his quest for power had not being misguided or in vein. I imagine he would have left Dante defeated, sealed the portals by himself and got to work on plotting to kill Mundus once and for all in revenge for all the horrible shit that's happened in his life. Nero is a wildcard Vergil had no concept of that ultimately leads to the ending we got. It all comes back to why Vergil craves power, so that he can never be hurt again in the way he was when his mother was killed. Seeing that, not only were there people who loved him, but that they were strong enough to protect themselves was also a big part in what changed his mind.
