Looking up Seth combo routes are confusing
Think I'll just wait for Oshu's optimal routes and work off those instead of everyone's 4 different variations of a given BnBs on twitter

Learn them all and become a Seth god

Lets see how well I can go on 2 hours of sleep
Blessed day

A toast, to the happy bonkings.

There's too many goddamn variations.
All look cool for me to want to try but I'd rather focus on just the optimal ones, more for my sanity than anything else.

It's ok I didn't really feel like playing anyway

>Access is concentrated in a short time. Please wait for a while
Kamone wtf is this

I get that one in the Switch version alot. Pretty annoying.

If this is the aussie player, I wouldn't be surprised if the game knew that your connection and mine don't play nice

That was me yesterday whenever a match ended

236C still a good way over lows but damn if it isn't scary to use

...

I was all ready to try out my new combos tonight but apparently the new granblue dlc is out. I think I'll play that tonight.

All these buffs and I still keep using 5B instead of 2B

I need to check out my Kuuga combo enders. I'm dropping them a lot on stronger starters and I'm not entirely certain it's because my hands don't work.

I got scared for a second

Oops. Time to die.

Post a character whose EXS you'd like.
For me, it's Linne.

Attached: LinneMika.png (1440x1605, 1.14M)

My mental scars from fighting old Merk 2B still runs deep

Orie, so I can summon a friend at will.

Dia, do you by chance know any of the new Gord's AA FF combos? I remember some people doing it during Frosty Faustings with FF > 66C but so far all I can do is jump loops

Attached: EKkn1YoXUAAUIho.jpg (2048x1583, 263K)

So much grabbing going on, it can't be helped.

Attached: 1551495580512.jpg (1032x1457, 191K)

Speaking of up-backers
There's enough of you now to switch to Carmine

I saw them posted around when I was away last week, but I never checked them again after coming back. I'll probably get around to it soon. Linne doesn't really have any new combo tools this update so there's not much for me to lab on that end other than adapting my safejump combos since their timing changed.

Yo, is there a way to play this game without feeling like a godforsaken retard? Even randomly winning one feels like shit.
I've spent the inbetween rounds training with robomerkava, and I still can't block a damn overhead. I've spent almost a year here and all I get out of it are sweaty hands and the urge to cry.

Go fight some randos outside the lobby to regain self-confidence.
Only way to get better is to honestly play more, learn when the time is most appropriate for your character to do x thing against another character.
It's a dynamic process that really depends on you and the other person and how well you can adjust.

Ask for tips on what's messing you up in particular and get training dummy or partner to do the moves that you're having trouble blocking.

If you save the replays, you'll get a good understanding of why you eat the overheads (keep pressing a button under pressure, mis-timing the block, etc).

Play more is the only answer. I deeply sympathize with you though, i get incredibly frustrated by my progress in fightan too and it tends to affect me on a very emotional level

I didn't expect that to hit at all

Attached: 1562876366765.jpg (2000x2000, 193K)

If it's any consolation, blocking overheads is a crapshoot on netplay. At least you aren't me and got hit by every overhead offline after not showing up to locals for months. Other than that, yeah. Go beat up randos.

Do you play on pad? If you do, ive found that loosening up your grip really helps. I personally would basically death grip my controller while down backing without realizing for the longest time and when I realized i was like "oh no fucking wonder i couldnt block standing fast enough"

Convincing someone to play this with me is even harder! I've perfectly entered the point where all my friends are below me/hate video games, and everyone else is perfect.
That and when I lose to randos it just hurts way more.
I just can't move fast enough to block stuff. You've got what, a 1/6 of a second to figure out you need to stand up? I don't think my head cycles that fast.
What sucks is this is one of the only genres I cannot grasp. I ripped people apart in Q3 earlier, and I can read the HELL out of a VN.

Anywho, I'll shut up, sorry for projecting these negative waves. Thank you for putting up with me again.

I really didn't see that comeback at all. Those loops were crushing me into dust.

Huo?

Its all good man, talking theough theae moments is so much better than just tanking it on your own. Another theing to consider is working on choking your ego down even more. It seems impossible when its so bruised in the moment but you have to do it in order to get into a lose and learn mentality

Haha, no way man, totally not me, haha!
That's really true, huh. I hadn't thought of that. Easing up on my primal rage while playing could help.
I'm going to end up some sort of saint before I actually get good at this. They're going to make a stained glass window of me for being so pious.

How far have you actually gone on practicing aside from fighting? Some people, evidently, have a way easier grasping concepts and applying it to their characters and their mentalities playing. It would help to know how much effort you've put into self-improvement outside of these constant live fire tests that can only bring you that far without any foreword strategy
How much research do you do and exactly how much confidence do you have in your character and gameplan? Because from the looks of it, you finally seem to have some reliable BnBs down but you're playing Yuzu and not only did optimal routes change but there's still a decently high skill ceiling with her to fully encompass everything easily.

The st routes are still used in clr since you don't always want to spend GRD, so it's not really combos that he has to worry about

One less thing to tentatively worry about at least

Aww, I thought that'd be air unblockable for sure hahaha.

I'll admit I don't play this like the Tekken players that just practice walking back and forth for hours at a time. I get that it all takes practice, and I'm trying like crazy to suppress my inner bitch.
I'm halfway convinced I'm just handicapped though, you're not supposed to lose the minute someone hits the grab buttons.

Teching throws takes getting used to, same with reacting to overheads

Im literally at the point where im saying "alright my goal is to tech ONE grab tonight" and it seriously feels like its helping

It's been like 362 days since I first launched this, you'd think something'd click in that time. There's gotta be a trick to the throws, right? The tutorial basically tells you "Just guess when they're gonna do it", but if they so much as light-jab first I'm dicked.
I get that with "I'll land ONE hit". It does help a bit.
Alright, this time I'll quit typing. Sorry for monopolizing your thread.

>if they so much as light-jab first I'm dicked.
That's why you do 1AD instead so you get shield if they aren't throwing

But then the shield lasts too long and I get broken, right? I shoulda known it all comes down to the "Teching with X" tutorials, because I cannot do those at all.

Some people (like myself) usually have an easy enough pattern to tell when they're going for a throw.

For me, it's 2 light attacks > throw. See if you can observe the next time someone does more than one throw on you and recognize a pattern.

Better gameplans and decision makings can be adopted from watching better players, that's the primary method of how I practice by mimicking the habits of better players and incorporating the parts that I'm lacking with theirs.
So at this point it seems to me that this is an effort AND mentality issue and as said, small shit like this helps build up on that mentality. Fighting games are a game of inches and progress that's a lot tougher to show for in results sometimes than others.
I wouldn't feel too bad about melting in the corner. Defense is a lot tougher in this game than others. Lord knows I die to good assault throw pressure in the corner too

Purple shields don't last "that" long. They're fairly hard to punish intentionally unless the opponent knows how to, so it's a good level 1 strategy against most opponents you'll run into online.

Unfortunately, most of the players here are far better than that which is why I would recommend following that other user's advice and go beat up randoms.

Im not sure what to think when I call out the round start jump in with 3C but its too early. Also the 22C i just whiffed the 3C input completely

Huo, if you'd like, I can offer some Yuzu gimmicks for those cheap and easy wins against most players.

As much as I hate to say it, I don't want cheap and easy. I want to do it right, to thoroughly best these guys. I do appreciate the offered solutions though.
Oh, and how the hell are you guys grabbing me out of assaults? I swear you couldn't grab airborne people unless you were Eltnum.

>Oh, and how the hell are you guys grabbing me out of assaults? I swear you couldn't grab airborne people unless you were Eltnum.
I haven't been looking at your fights but if you shield someone's assault jump in, you're mostly guaranteed a throw punish

Alittle late to this news but anyone else upset their old replays got deleted?

Did they if you didn't say yes first? Unist post update always asked me if I wanted to delete the replay data.
I can't remember if they're shielding me or not, I swear I get plucked outta the air, but milliseconds before I land. I'm sure I'm just too slow.

>Alittle late to this news but anyone else upset their old replays got deleted?
They did? Fuck. There goes that perfect win i had saved against squish 2 years ago lel
But thankfully I've gotten into just recording matches and making webms out of them instead.
The replay function isn't all that great compared to Blazblue's

Didn't get any notification unless I skipped through it maybe. Checked it out and had only about 25 or so replays when before I had about 325.

I think it is during the "Checking for DLC" moment before the opening, I think? It would be very easy to skip.

GGs

Bummer about that room explosion. Looked like it was gonna be a good match to watch too.

In an effort to save my declining mental state, I'm gonna make my getaway. Thank you all for both the beatings and continuing to put up with me.

Thanks for the games psn and sorry for the trash fighting in those matches. I expected to do worse on only two hours but I had to at least try since it was Mika's birthday.

Attached: 1561574591067.jpg (1024x768, 125K)

None of you better show up to NCR while sick

GGs m8s. Rest well.

Also to Basto I think you did pretty good all things considered. Cheers.

>whiff grab>whiff grab>grab
When did we switch to gbvs

Thanks for reminding me to think twice and be a jew about Combo Breaker prices with the virus season going around

Hey sai turn on granblue and come play against swordhorns. Everyone else is playing swordhorns and I don't wanna do mirrors.

I know how disgusting the anime fgc can be, so I'm not risking it. No matter how clean you are all it takes is one walking petri dish.

ggs everyone. So, I finally got around to labbing all of Linne's new things and wrote up some details while waiting between fights after finishing the actual other important shit I had to write:

Dragon Fang/Greed Sever- It's shit. Doesn't have a hitbox until it lands, so it isn't particularly useful even as a low crush. You can literally land on people's hitboxes. If you do hit, it's a decent damage combo, but it uses up a hard knockdown so you can't do a full corner combo with it. CSing it after block does give you a fuzzyable high/low mixup though. Eats your jump cancel and it’s too slow to use in combos except after EX Kuuga. Good for a hard knockdown midscreen since 6CC isn’t the best at giving oki. The biggest use is that it’s a good starter when somebody blocks EX Kuuga midair since it’s more consistent than other options and does decent damage.

Kuuga -> Assault- Good netplay gimmick, but I could antiair it on reaction in training in 6 frames. Works as a decent conditioning tool since I can beat out all normal moves with a 2B if people decide to antiair. Not amazing and doesn’t give actual free mix but a very UNI-like tool. Every character can spend meter to beat both options. Mika and Linne can just dashblock under it. Nanase and Akatsuki don’t have to worry since they can just windcar/ B Tatsu immediately after blocking the Kuuga. Midscreen, the same applies but it’s easier to escape. The best benefit is that people are more likely to keep blocking after jump back kuuga in the corner to cover their options at least the first few times.

Attached: D-kB64kUYAIA9PC.jpg large.jpg (1451x2048, 318K)

Charged Air Kuuga- Strong tool overall. Super plus. The TK version is helpful since I can actually use it after dashing without getting a DP. Not much to note since it works like a normal charge Kuuga as a starter. Can’t use it in a combo without wasting your jump cancel. Charged Kuuga also doesn’t have a blindspot anymore so that’s usefule.
FF change- I thought it might have been overbuffed, but it might be in a good spot since it’s actually punishable now. A little worried that the optimal playstyle is going to be just mashing it while blocking but it still gets snubbed if I mash too hard, though the slash is now fully invincible after a dodge. It no longer takes over 20 frames for me to punish a jump-in or anything else that isn’t an assault or grounded overhead.

I expect smash kiddies to die in droves

Attached: 1450641795099.jpg (445x308, 16K)

>FF
Guess my career of dying to good linne players continues. Miller2B and nyczbrandon FF me to death and makes me hella self-conscious about my pressure.
Well, at least I can chip them to death harder now. Fuck opening people up
GGs

Linne can now easily swat you out of the air on reaction if you try to assault at her with the new FF. It's a bit annoying to try and approach her.

C'mon Sai, this poor girl is waiting for you.

Attached: RNFetchBlobTmp_qbe3wyq8yrgtcdz2ndcpv.jpg (1920x1080, 332K)

Alright, I'll head out after one more. Coming soon.

Is anyone planning on getting GBVS on PC now?

Im in fucking awe of getting parried that far away

Who is this so I know who to beat up on stream?

How long are you planning on playing? Ill come whenever the lobby ends

No character interests me so it's a no from me.

It's good, but at max speed it still ends up being slower than Hyde's 3C in practice unless the player is a god at plinking. Invuln at frame 1 is a major benefit though.

My name is clearlamp

Until I'm sick of the character I suppose, but she's really cool so I doubt it will be a short lobby.

Its conditional on some other friends who are waiting on pc uniclr but i think ill double dip sooner or later

Got it. You better get ready punk for the ass kicking of your life.

>you can whiff cancel the IC web fake-out to CS against reversals
Jesus christ

Attached: 1524884336702.png (359x237, 184K)

I'd play more but i gotta head to work. Hippie I need to get more practice against you one of these days, I wanna do well at MM.

And that's gonna do it for me. GGs everybody. Definitely felt like I was auto-piloting Enkidu quite abit tonight. I'll see about labbing at least 1 new string for next time if something else doesn't grab my attention before then.

Also, apparently the Switch version just received an update? I wonder if it's the Carmine/Seth fix or fixes the "everyone is 4 bars" problem.

Attached: linne212.jfif.jpg (1451x2048, 307K)

Oh? Who is this? I know merk and his gang are probably going but I most likely won't be attending MM

GG
I'm always on auto pilot anyhow

Sean

Strange, I pegged you as west coast for whatever reason

Lobby is clearing out naturally so I'll close it when it gets back to me since I need to be up early too

Nah canada east coast

Show up to more lobbies, maybe earlier, I'm always here.
Sha fucking refuses to show up until he's got a real good grasp on his new tools so I'm in the dark about what new bullshit byak can pull so it'll be for both our benefits.

Been harder for me to show up as a few months ago I got a job that started in the morning rather than starting at 230 every day. Will try to come out a bit more tho

You free on Fridays? There's those thread-less lobbies on friday nights at the usual time. We can meet up there.
Or sometime during the weekend if you wanted

Speaking of Sha, he invited me to play some clr this morning. I said sure and he never showed up

Hippie-senpai may i please have direction in my hyde training again

Retail never gives consistent schedules so it's hard to lock down a date. I'll see what I can do

Room in these lobbies for a guy still learning? I just don't want to be so bad I drag everyone else's good time down

You can get better combos off of 5B and larger confirms that don't involve 236X~A
Also you need to stop spending meter using laser so frequently

>Timeout connection
DEJA VU

Attached: 1581494316157.jpg (600x600, 62K)

There are players of all skill levels that joins. With the addition of training mode you can even practice while waiting for your turn

Alot of us started out here getting blown up in these very lobbies before finally being able to put up a good fight. I'd say it's definitely okay.

My tribute to aniki is complete. GGs
Yeah just keep me in the know
Adding on to this, I'll pick him against you to give better ideas how to approach and use meter a bit more effectively but I'm serious about the laser part.
As long as you're willing to learn and maybe wait around for matches, yeah. You'll be better off seeing how the game is played anyway

Attached: 1513537249025.gif (160x120, 352K)

For the other user who wanted to play GBV. Pass is Vee

I hear you on the laser, im not even sure how i picked up the habit. also its so fun...

Oscar you cock sucker. I wanted to see that intro

Get fukt hag lover

Icey, if youre still looking at this, what are you thinking tomorrow? Uniclr or gbvs?

I really need to see if I can land my ffa combos. So maybe more UNI than GB but I want to keep playing Nama

I asked since tomorrow is the actual NA release and we have a fair shot at a full lobby but more uni is always fine

You're free to make a lobby or someone else but I really do need to get some Yuzu matches in. My yuzu is doing so poorly and I really need to get these ffa combos down in match.
