Was it a good course of direction?
Was it a good course of direction?
no gow2 is better
I liked it. Needed more giant enemies though.
Yeah it btfos the previous games. I just hope the sequels have more bosses and less RPG stuff.
Yes
It feels like a shitty Souls clone now.
>Yeah it btfos the previous games.
>lets give kratos a kid and make him a dad to make him mature
>"boss, the entire plot of the old games was that he already had a kid"
fucking retards
Not really, it's way more of an action game blended in. It feels like its own thing
This game is a reboot or an actual gow 4?
No, the plot of the old games was that he was looking for revenge against the gods.
It's a sequel
I hated it.
Soft reboot. GoW 1-3 are still Canon but this is why it’s like a soft reboot
How many time passed since gow3?
yeah, i prefer the gameplay from the trilogy but changes are always welcome and i like the story a lot
because he killed his kid due to them
We still haven’t gotten a explanation how Kratos survived the hole in his chest and what athena is doing
Unknown
4, it knows that Kratos kill Athena and Zeus and has the scar form being stabbed in the stomach in the 2nd game
What happened in the history?
Kratos fucks off to nord lands, fucks a lady and has a son
Lady dies and sends Kratos and son on a quest
Kratos tells his son he is a god
Kratos starts Ragnarok by killing Baldur
Kratos learns to be a better dad
Basically this
People where getting tired of the old games so sure, why not. Combat has more or less the same depth. It has the best boss in the series and one of the best bosses in the genre in a long while but every single other boss but one is absolute garbage and recycled garbage to boot. Enemy variety is very low but if i remember right it was always low in the other games too. It's still got very good presentation, story is good but the series has always been playing on easy mode in terms of story ever since it struck gold with the concept. It's very pretty and well acted, glad my nigga Teal'c is in it.
It's 41 years. It's stated in the novel, just like how the sun and moon wolves brought Kratos to this land
>Novel
God damn I hate that shit. Why do developers do this shit
HEY GUYS REMEMBER HOW IN GOW 3 YOU START THE GAME BY FUCKING SIEGING GODDAMN MOUNT OLYMPUS LIKE A FUCKING BOSS?!
Yeah in s0i of war you get to burn your second wife and bond with HER son (yeah Kratos is cucked into caring for a kid that is obviously not not his own)
it's not the worst game ever, biggest issue with the game is how sluggish and monotonous the combat is, since kratos movements are slow, jumping is restricted and the enemy variety is lacking.
No. I dropped it when I got to the boat part and didnt know where to go next.
It's a good game. I don't understand why it upsets so many people.
>cucked into caring for a kid that is obviously not his own
So it's like God of War III?
Yes and no. Narratively I like the idea of Kratos in Midgard, but the enemy variety needs a shitload of work.
I liked it but wished it was longer with more intimidating enemies
It's a direct sequel.
It's not a reboot in the slightest.
It's a PS4 exclusive.
I'm in this boat too.
Loved the game actually. But for something that looks so high budget, it also looks very much like it was considered a risky endeavor, based on the lack of enemy variety.
In any case, I am looking forward to what they do moving forward. I'd kill for more bosses like Sigrund, like 1 v 1 tests of skill.
Sony has always had the best console, why don't people understand this?
plays better than the shitty FF7R demo I just tried.
literally what goes on through the minds of developers when they make cutscenes like this? Why don't they just make it a movie at this point?
It does, it's only problem was lack of bosses
>exposes that he hasen't even played the game
The kid LITERALLY has Spartan Rage, it's his son.
>boss fight compared to something that happens progressing the story forward
Do Yea Forums posters ever get tired of being disingenuous retards?
you can't skip those cutscenes, that's the problem, it's all in-engine and forced down your throat
oh no Kratos gave his son AIDs
Damn Spartans and their sodomy
This, they conveniently leave out the OldGOW segments of literally pushing shit and trash puzzles
>literally pushing shit and trash puzzles
as opposed to the even trashier axe puzzles in 4
The game did not benefit whatsoever from the zero-cutaway camera, which is something that they say took them a lot of effort to pull off. It was otherwise a fun game.
You want to play games like DMC that fail to actually develop characters or set up proper scenes that pace that developement and have them act completely random towards any and all situations, and have scenes completely play nonsensical-like, good for you, there are games like that for you.
It was fine. Better than the previous GoW games at least. Definitely needed more boss fights.
idc if they keep the RPG stuff I just want it to make sense and not feel tacked on.
>Kratos fucked up in the past
>Throughout the games has shown great remorse and still goes crazy about his daughter
>After all he's been through he's giving redemption with another child
>Has to struggle to not fuck it up after his 2nd wife dies
Also the director worked on every mainline GoW game and was the director of GoW2, everyones favorite of the classic games
Don't give him attention, he went through the effort of making that to annoy people when he knows it's not a fair comparison
Combat and story were good. The free roam rpg elements are a refreshing change of pace to a series thats been pretty stagnant since it released. The worst part about it is probably the constant reuse of the troll and elemental bosses
overrated
