Why would you post Henderson in a horror thread? It is the comfiest city in America. Walking around at night is amazing, everything feels so distant and alone, with all the empty apartment blocks and houses produced during the bubble and left to be finished another day. You could get lost in the seemingly labyrinthine trails of neighborhoods and golf courses.

Focus more on creating an interesting atmosphere. When they directly focus on trying to scare the player, you always get what they think will scare the player which will usually be corny and not scary. Games like Silent Hill and Darkwood already have a atmospheric foundation to enjoy the game on. Even if they dont end up scaring you, theyre good for their unique environment and artistry.
