To give you the quick rundown, Toby said that at the most, he would work on the game for 7 years alone if he couldn't get a team together. But then like a month later he was posting about how cool it is to be able to show a whole team of people your ideas and get tons of praise. I totally forget when he teased the second chapter and fallen angel shit, but basically I doubt we have to wait more than one or two more years.

Depends. At the absolute most around 6-7 years, since the demo was released, as that's how long Toby said he'd be willing to work on a game before quitting. Not sure if the time he spent working on the demo counts though.

I don't know if his little hints mean he's actually gotten a team together or not, but as long as he can do that and they don't fuck it all up I'm not too worried about never getting it.

For Toby this isn't him making just another game after Undertale, this is the game he's wanted to make since high school. Undertale was his attempt to prove to himself he could make a full game without quitting.

Its ambiguous at this point, but I think its just a manifestation of his desires, not really what he thinks of himself. He doesn't seem to be the nicest person since he's a prankster of some sort, and he probably has a hard time talking and relating with the monsters, judging how some are surprised that Kris talked to them after you leave the dark world. He's definitely a loner and a bit of a creep and might have confidence/motivation issues just by seeing how desolate his side of the room is compared to Asriel's.

Some of the interactions felt weird, like alphys saying that their sneedsons was centered around a "monster family" even though family would have sufficed. That and the comment about whether being made of blood hurt.

Asking if being made of Blood hurt is not an edgy or awkward question, it's a perfectly reasonable thing to wonder.

Blood is an extremely complicated biological liquid that plays a major role in how our body operates, there are extremely complicated biological systems going on in our bloodstream to aid our immune systems, stuff we are just learning this past decade, with even more mysteries in the future to solve.

Or maybe it's a half-lie, he understands the reasoning behind his white lie but he also partially believes it. Can you, in truth, say he is right? The world is not a place any of us ever ask to be put into before we exist. But, does a prison have to be unpleasant? We can't leave Earth, by definition we are imprisoned on it, confined to it, but it's not inherently bad to be stuck somewhere.

He is simply using words, constructs, language we invent and make to express and trick, but we can't know their true feelings on the matter. That is the very nature of the Joker.
