Still running modern stuff pretty well at 60 so far! Not worried about needing to upgrade for a while desu

My 760 can still run Minesweeper with few issues

doing quite fine, 60-120fps. Most devs arent really pushing the limit. It'll probably last us for quite some time. That is unless you want to max out the small handfull of upcoming titles.

was just replaying metro exodus right now, pretty fucking good looking game running at 85-95 fps at 1080p on ultra settings, I don't plan to upgrade before any game I give a fuck about runs under 60fps at 1080p on ultra
(the rest is a 9700k + 32gb 3200 ram)

I had to wait so long to upgrade from my 2gb 760 to my 1070 I don't wanna open the box where it's stored ever again

My gtx750ti can run DMC5 at 45+fps at 1080p
Poverty masterrace

Still running great. Currently using 1080p 144hz monitors and for the most part can run most modern games on ultra settings at 60-120-144fps. Would only upgrade if I ever upgrade my monitors to 4k.

Build a Ryzen 5 1600 GTX 1080 back in 2017. Have 3k burning a hole in my pocket for my next build, then will be passing this PC down to the wife. Waiting on Nvidia to announce it's 3000 line and just hope they don't price gouge too much and that Coronochan doesn't cause too much of a supply limit. Want to be able to semi-max out Cyberpunk and FFVIIR when they come out. If I can manage 4k 90FPS with a 3080ti I'll be happy.

lmao gtx 400 here

Pretty good, every game still runs smooth and looked good. Red Dead 2 was a bit of a pain though.

haven't bottlenecked yet

meant 400 series

>not playing on a small 1366x768 television as a monitor

Pretty good, I may ask though. Is getting a high refresh rate monitor worth it? I want to get one but they are so damn expensive. Being looking at pic related but it's a VA panel and freesync
Should I get it or no?

Attached: Screenshot_2020-03-03.png (1020x257, 112K)

Just fine.

I got this back in November.
amazon.com/Sceptre-E255B-1658A-Gaming-Monitor-DisplayPort/dp/B07KGMQGDT
It's pretty good, the only downsides are if you sit a bit lower the viewing angle kinda sucks, and the sound is trash but who doesn't use external speakers anyways? Freesync also works with 1070 cards.

RX 580 chad here, 1070 a shit.

I have still an old 1440x900 monitor, the fun thing is, it looks sharp as fuck and don't require AA, and i gain like 15fps from it, the only downside is i may go blind from staring too close.

>mfw 1660 super which is slightly higher 1070 performance, less power usage and faster GGDR6 memory
pretty good

Attached: 1361377106743.jpg (478x598, 58K)

I don't know man, i just can't justify the infinitesimally slight upgrade compared to my oc card.

gtx 970 here
pretty good, waiting for 3000 series

index vr chugs a bit but everything else is still fine

Running things fine but not gonna risk ultra or even high settings at this point. Medium for me

Just waiting for RTX 3070 to upgrade

When I was a teen and had almost no money, yeah I went for the cheap stuff cuz that's all I could get. Now though, my shit is top notch and rgbullshit glow all the whatever. It sucks being poor for more reasons than shitty framerates/graphics, so glad I'm not anymore.

RX 5700 XT master race here

Attached: 1582055270690.jpg (960x874, 66K)

playing MH:W on 1070 @ 1440p at max settings (not including high res texture pack) and im getting mostly 60+ fps with the worst usually being in low 40s and it feels pretty good. Anyone know what my fps will be like with the high res textures? I'm curious to try.

>3080ti
that'll be $2000 please.

amazon.com/AOC-24G2-Frameless-Adjustable-Guarantee/dp/B07WVN6CWT

>Blackscreens.

I sold mine and got a 2070super instead.

My 1070 ti was doing great until I replaced one of my 2 1080p 144hz monitors with a 1440p 144hz monitor.
Some games took a big hit
CPU is 4790k

lolwut, until now I just had problems with mk11 but just had to install older drivers. Now they fixed it so all's good

Attached: 1364939485877.jpg (512x384, 17K)

>mfw got a malfunctioning 1080 for free, artifacts on screen
>changed the paste and now works perfectly
shame i dont feel like playing anything

Attached: 8f5xcm1g95hx.jpg (480x475, 36K)

What happened to the amd cards? I remember when they were competitive but I see almost no one use them nowadays

still run new games fine. my 4790k is the bottleneck.

People just don't want to stop on red and wait.

My 980 is running games fine in 1920x1080. Only problems I had was with Dishonored 2 and Watch Dogs 2. Gonna probably get 2080 for Cyberpunk

I'm still on a 970 and probably gonna stay like that for a while.

>t. GTX 1060
where do i go next even? do i grab a 2070 or 2080 once the 3000 series drops and the prices (hopefully) go down?

I purchased this one a couple months ago and im loving it

>and the prices (hopefully) go down?
You better hope corona chan gets bored and goes back to hell, because unless China gets their manufacturing back to mostly operational, you're probably going to have to deal with GPUs at 1.5x the usual MSRP to start with, and then like 4x once the scalping niggers buy them by the pallet to resell on ebay.

Same but RX 5700 with boosted specs through MorePowerTool

Attached: 1574345502909.png (337x418, 250K)

Playing Yakuza Kiwami 2 at 1440p 90% scaling + sharpening filter. It still runs at around 60fps most of the time and looks great too.

People don't mention it enough but VA and TN have terrible pixel inversion. It looks like some faint scanlines appearing during motion then disappear. It's worse than IPS glow or smearing imo. Of course it still varies from model to model but the general consensus is that IPS seems to not suffer a lot from this shit.

Attached: best boss intro.webm (640x360, 2.95M)

Have the same 1070 since mid 2016 and am doing fine. Only game ever where 1440p 60fps has been a challenge was rdr2. Currently playing ritual of the night at 1440p 144fps at

Anyone know how to turn off the LED's on a 1060? None of the software out there works and I dont want to take it apart

LED drivers are located in system32, just delete the whole folder.

based

I'm still using my GTX 970.
Runs high at about 79 - 80C, but never goes any higher, and performs just as good as it did the day I bought it.
A real workhorse of a GPU.

Attached: 2014-09-18-product-11.jpg (800x632, 296K)

Because you're asking a lot from your card at that point. Just unplug the monitors you're not using when you're gaming.

Kepler, Maxwell and Pascal holdouts should upgrade to Nvidia 7nm GPUs

thanks, you're a godsend

yes

>tfw can still run modern games on medium settings on a gtx 770

Attached: 1556966134323.gif (328x328, 1.48M)

rx570+ryzen 5 2600 is miles better than intel+nvidia for the same price, is just the top cards that are tanking.

>can afford a new PC
>still game on my 750 Ti potato machine
I have a huge backlog, what's the point of buying a new rig when I'm currently playing Resident Evil 4 and Baldur's Gate?

doing great

in combination with ryzen 5 2600 and 16gb ram its comfy 2018 $1.1k build.

fix 2019

Recently upgraded from my 5 year old i5 4690+970 to an R5 3600+2070S.
Guess I'll keep this trend of skipping a gen then since 30XX is just around the corner.

>have 1070ti

THE FUCK IS UP PEASANTS?

Attached: 1582700992252.gif (500x281, 2.51M)

Doing just fine.

Pretty bad.
Had to put everything on low on BF5 if I want to play at over 60fps.

Attached: Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1.png (1000x1000, 128K)

1070ti
Just upgraded to a 1440p 144hz g-sync monitor.
Not doing so good.

>was told that a 1070 would be overkill for 1080p*144hz gaming
>struggling to keep 100+ fps in games that aren't exactly new like BF1 on high/medium settings

Same. I don't have any games I can't run on it yet and upgrading from 1080p is still stupidly expensive.

This
AOC's G2 series is amazing value for high spec panels

Big fat X.

Anything below 100% scaling looks bad, no matter the res. 1080p on a 4k screen might look "decent" and just how 1080p would look on a native 1080 screen, but anything weird like 90% will just look off. Whenever I play Black Ops 4 and am forced to change res scaling to 94% to keep a stable frame rate I nearly puke for the first 30 minutes. I will admit I once forgot to change it back and then played with 94% for a few days without noticing it, but the immediate change in picture quality just sucks.

No shit. Even back in 2016 you would've struggled with some games at higher settings. 144hz is for fags who only play esports shit and older games.

people lie about their performance all the time
>yeah bro I got a gtx 750 and I get 144fps at 1440p on all the newest games maxed out
fuck those people, acting like people can't look up benchmarks

>3080ti
*Takes out second mortgage*

I'm a SIM nerd it plays il2 in vr I play xp11 in Zibo at about 25fps project cars about 80/90fps with 20 other cars on track siege is a locked 120fps. Gtav hovers between 50/80fps. I want new CPU n ram. Will stay with 1070 for around 4/5 years

For all you know those retards play CS:GO or just older games in general. Or they have no idea of their actual frame rate because they don't have RT or any sort of frame rate display.

videocardz.com/newz/mysterious-nvidia-graphics-cards-with-108-and-118-compute-units-spotted

>7552 CUDA cores
>6912 CUDA cores

What did they mean by this?

There is no such thing as overkill.
My 2080S doesn't even get stable solid 144fps on latest tiles even though I have a 1080p monitor.

>1070ti here
Don't see the need to upgrade for at least another year.

Attached: 3262626.jpg (419x400, 19K)

3080 will save us with glorius 4k 100 fps

I call BS on that, unless you're talking about specific games like RDR2. A 1060/580 should still easily manage a constant 60fps at high settings in 90% of new games. Are you one of those retards who's spending $800 on a GPU, but is running an OCed 4790k? Go and get an actual CPU and decent ram (3000mhz) if that's the case.

>Cyberpunk and FFVIIR
your shit taste is your downfall here, weirdo

2080ti struggles on 3440x1440p 100hz on unoptimised garbage.
Nvidia dxrtx support in the shitter thanks to rdna2+
Feels bad man sure I had top tier performance for 2 years but rtx was unplayable (but impressive) not worth paying 1k for a video card for marginal gains over a 1080ti or titan pascal (same price)
First and last flagship card I buy.
Least it's aging fairly well vrs is neat and vr support is fantastic (virtual link display port alt)

>first and last flasgship card I buy
How can anyone look at a $1400 (maybe $1100 during a sale) card and think "hm yes this is nice and worth my attention"

1k usd. New on sale (rtx wherent selling so old stock had to be moved bless ebay sales)
Ziptied big 12cm fans to it and called it a day
Sounds great I hated gigabyte trifans and actually stays under 70c stock bios 112% pwr offset 1900mhz boost

Pretty good, waiting for Ampere. I would have never bought a brand new card at launch years ago but GPU prices are so fucked now that it's a better deal for me than buying a 2000 series right now.

2GHz 1080ti reportin'

Who here is waiting for the 3000 series cards and dabbing on the tards with 2000 series cards?

Attached: fortnite-bionicle.gif (500x473, 3.77M)

>Pretty good, waiting for Ampere. I would have never bought a brand new card at launch years ago but GPU prices are so fucked now that it's a better deal for me than buying a 2000 series right now.
They are going for around 800-900usd here in aus used nobody wants them.
2 years later the only part of the card that sucks is rtx but the rt cores and underlying ai tensor core tech is cool just never used outside of dlss bullshit (2.0+ is meant to be good)

The sad reality is even for $1000 it's a ripoff unless you A. want the BEST POSSIBLE non-titan card or you B. want warranty. You could've bought a 1080ti for roughly $450 and get ~80% of the 2080ti's performance for less than half of the cash. You could even buy a second one if the first one "fails" which won't happen. I bought a 1060 6GB back in late 2017, before the second mining crisis and while the 6GB model wasn't the best deal (the 3GB one was) it was by far the best price/performance ratio out there. Compared to every other card out there, even used 900 series cards.

>have an RX-480 8GB card
>my AMD A8-5500 CPU bottlenecks the shit out of it
>can't afford to get a new mobo and cpu that won't bottleneck my gpu
feelsbad being a poorfag guys

Attached: 17283919341.jpg (300x300, 15K)

?? You could upgrade to a cheapass Ryzen 3 and mobo+ram combo for less than $200. Actually less than $150 I think.

He probably isn't american user, as a leaf that ain't the cheapest config. It's horse shit desu. I hate living in a country with such weak shitty currency.

>not living in Yuropoor or the US
Sad

>95 fps on ultra
Indoors maybe

Yeah because it's hard to render 8 models and flat textures.

Someone rate my rig

Attached: old specs.png (666x527, 36K)

I'm the fag waiting for Ampere from earlier and I'm from a poor post-communist shithole. I've mentioned that waiting for a fancy new card is a better deal for me because where I live, those "cheap" low end solutions when buying new just aren't worth it - they're still disproportionately expensive for the average earner so that as grandpa taught me, it's always better to just save up for something better.

Parts cost a shit load in euroland sadly. I'm still using a 1060 6gb because I can't justify paying 300 bucks for an upgrade

Was about to say based, but then I say Win10 Home.

>Old specs

Cucked yourself.

Decent for older stuff but you should at least have a tiny SSD for the OS.

I used the run that until almost 2 years ago. These are my actual specs. Not actually a cuck.

Attached: Specs 2020.png (660x529, 51K)

fuck off

My old 770 died last week and I end up buying a new build because mine was 7 years old atleast. How much of a difference will I feel? Kinda excited desu even if I don't usually play the most modern games

Attached: 1582734185304.jpg (243x265, 21K)

That's why the sharpening filter is there. Downscaling always looks bad but at least with the filter it can look pretty close to the original but you get some extra fps too. DLSS was supposed to be able to do this and I think their new version could pull it off very good, as in 1440p+DLSS looks nearly as good, and sometimes better, than native 4K. I don't have a RTX card so I can't say for sure though.

assuming you didn't cheap out it should be pretty huge, especially if you get a monitor that can do 144hz

They don't? Are you living in like Norway or some over-expensive place? The 16/20 series is shit and not worth buying either way. Just get a used 1080 if you really want to. You can find those for 250 bucks on ebay-kleinanzeigen (if you're a Franz) or on similar sites.
Like an upgrade from a shitty ass 2nd-4th gen CPU to a completely new build? A huge difference. If your new build doesn't have an SSD, put on in there. SATA < nvme, but the former is still okay.

There's no point. If your rig runs the games you wanna play, there's no reason to upgrade yet.

>only playing shitty ass pre-2013 games
I hate Yea Forums

1080 here. Going to wait a couple more years. Getting great performance still. I am 2 years behind on games, so I have a good amount to play. I like to wait till games are fully patched with all the content added for dirt cheap before I buy them.

really?

same here

Attached: EFA54D0F-6AA4-4F38-87E1-02B82427EE79.jpg (2048x1536, 742K)

Yeah, nvme SSD. I'm still using my old 60hz monitor but I'm planning on upgrading in some months when I get a bit more money

>my 4790k is the bottleneck
Not much

Attached: Lightscreen.png (762x950, 55K)

Got a 1600 when my old CPU fied itself after 7 months of running 4.4 GHz of OC'd clocks.
Waiting on Zen 3 to upgrade CPU. I'll be set for the entirety of next gen and then some.
Really curious to see what ayymd is going to do with ray tracing to fuck nvidia in the ass.

OLD BAD NEW GOOD

1070ti here, doing fine with a 1080p 144hz monitor

Attached: 1583218072578.jpg (585x600, 207K)

It's a little slow at around 30 - 40 odd frames. Runs fine at 1080p though.

the software is handling the scaling, not the monitor. upscaling on GPU (in software, generic solutions in driver look like garbage) look alright. Sharpening techs, be it DLSS (finally), or RIS keep that image quality looking equivalent 100% res at 4K.

If you're just turning output resolution down, yes, pixel distortion occurs, or else the display scaler can negatively affect fidelity far more than a more significant drop in resolution to 1080.

My 670 is pretty good

Still running everything on Max settings.

>the 6GB model wasn't the best deal (the 3GB one was)
think you got that backward

the 3gb card isn't even the same hardware, and was a perfect demonstration of nvidia's marketing genius, and anti-consumer greed.

1060 3gb should have never been called a 1060

I use my on a 1440p/60Hz monitor and a big 1080p TV on my couch. Maximum comfy.

Attached: 1583167181300.png (727x727, 650K)

Still can run many games at 60fps on high/max. If it doesn't hold up for next gen games I'm thinking of a second hand 2080ti or super.

honestly pretty good. I got a used 8gb for 200 bucks a couple months ago. I'm finally able to enjoy VR properly now.

>Bottleneck 7.49% for me
How bad is that?

1080ti here, waiting for the 3080/3080ti

I have a GTX1060, run everything at 1080p60, i'm fine

Depends really.
9900K OC is bottlenecked by 1080ti, 30% if anything.

>not playing on a 32 inch 1366x768 television as a monitor
ok plebian

I have a 1070

>7.49%
You're good.
