From what I deduce you will be on rails for the most part except in certain shooting gallery sequences where you have a space you can move in. However once you’re done with the arena you progress through on-rail movement.

I think that’s the gimmick. I’m not seeing enough fluid body movement in these trailers to say that they allow you to move freely at all times.

The controllers are absolutely terrible. Abyssmal. Trackpads instead of joysticks, but also no grib "trigger". It's a button. That's awkward, shitty, and hard to press. Considering grabbing is one of the most satisfying things in VR this is really, really bad.
It has other issues too. The Vive has worse screen specs than the Rift S for example. And it's double the price. It's terrible

I would take an original rift over the vive, without any question, nevermind the rift S.

Gradually you'll get more and more accustomed until one day it's just gone entirely. You can do this in like two weeks of casual play, its mostly contingent on how often you test your boundaries and pure dumb luck.
Also SEUS remastered works on Vivecraft and looks incredible albeit takes some decent hardware to run it at an acceptable framerate.

I'm not a retard, I bought the OG vive awhile back, but I chose it because there were rumours of valve releasing their own shit. I went with the Vive to have an easy upgrade path for when the day came.
I plan on upgrading the HMD when the index comes back in stock and shit slows down.

Patience and persistence. The key is to not force yourself into it so hard that you associate VR with nausea. At the same time you'll only get better as fast as you keep pushing your boundaries.
