About to start this. Anything I should know beforehand? Any essential mods?

I would install Map markers mod and remove aoe spells outside of combat mod. Weapon set hotkeys can also be a good one as well as toggle AI and Stealth hotkeys. As for other mods that's up to you. Those are the only ones I use. Simple QOL options.
How much do you know about Pathfinder? I knew jack shit but have learned a crap ton by playing this game so I can fill you in on a few things that screwed me over at the beginning if you would like.
fairly new
Turn based mod is essential.
>Any essential mods?
Turn based mod
Rotating camera.
Min/maxing is not essential if you're playing on anything other than Unfair difficulty.
Watch how much weight your characters can hold. It may seem like a good idea to put armor on them but if they are wearing too much weight they take penalties.
Send your highest AC characters in first to draw the attacks from the enemies but watch out for them charging your back line in later levels.
Don't set your casters to auto attack because you may need them to quickly cast a needed spell and they don't do shit for damage anyway.
Don't install turnbased mod unless you want a super easy game like these 2 homos suggested.
Prepare to get assfucked by bandits while you try to figure out what to do
Wild Cards DLC is essential, get it before you start
"Turn Based Combat" mod is good if that's your thing, if you're not sure give it a try it's non-invasive and toggleable with a single key stroke
"Call of the Wild" is better than "Eldritch Arcana" if you want more spells/classes/feats
If you use pets "UI Extensions" is a must
"Multiple Classes Per Level" allows you to build a Gestalt character which is great for a second playthrough
If you intend to use an uncommon and weird exotic weapon "Craft Magic Items" will make sure you're not left out other wise you don't really need it.
"Bag of Tricks" is your dev console / cheats menu
Make sure you take 1 level of Alchemist (vivisectionist) so that you can use their Mutagen ability. it's so good that it's worth dipping 1 point into Alchemist to get it. It may seem like a strange combination but it just works, much like this hotdog dish.
I meant min/maxing is not essential for anything but unfair maybe hard if you totally gimped your dude.
Camera rotation is pretty great mod.
Make sure to carry atleast 12 camping supplies and always have people hunting BUT also using the supplies because you only have to rest for 9 hours and you may recoup some of the supplies.
Don't think you can just spam spells and sleep all the time because you fuck yourself doing that. Resource management is pretty crucial.
Don't take weapon focus on casters unless you are using ray spells or just don't have any other good feats. Spell penetration/spell focus is WAY better to take early as you can actually have your spells land.
Keep an eye on your journal as some quests have timers and map out where you want to explore and try to do it on the way to your main quests instead of aimlessly wandering around for weeks at a time.
I'd recommend waiting until the "Call of the Wild" modder implements everything from "Eldritch Arcana" worth carrying over, especially traits.
what did i just watch
/ck/ is a riot
All of it looked pretty standard cooking. Beer Cheddar is a thing. Eggs are good. Hotdogs are good. All of them go together. Seems bizarre but i'm thinking probably quite good.
>tfw playing RIGHT NOW
>Seems bizarre but i'm thinking probably quite good.
Why only 5 man party?
That's just kinda dumb though as it's just putting the side on the main dish. Not thoughtful.
I'd eat it but
>that lone slice of cheese at the start
I limit myself to 5 people because 1 - makes the game more challenging without having to deal with the HP bloat of higher difficulty levels; 2 - makes the combat feel more heroic, as you're actually fighting against the odds and not just ganking up on fucking bandits like a bunch of zerlings.
Protip: if you only share XP with the active party every character you remove from the group increases level of those remaining in the party by +n.5
Looks like i'm going to try this out. Might knock it down to challenging from hard if it's too much BS.
The eldrich something mod
It gives more option in character creation like traits origin, favorites class, negative traits and more
That's pig food for tastelets like you
No Tristian and the leftovers were underleveled but it wasn't an issue.
Do I need to do Armag's Tomb right after I finish the first two main quests of Act V (barbarians and Betrayer's Flight) or can I explore a bit?
Should I take Concentration as a Magus (Sword Saint)? I just started and grabbed Finesse and Combat Reflexes.
It is recommended to clear Armag's tomb ASAP if you are a good guy, if you are evil or low on mercy then you may do as you wish with your time.
>man
By the way why arent there any male warriors to take? You have to start with a bunch of dykes. What is this, the WNBA? Womens soccer?
Depreciated now that we have Call of the Wild.
I wouldn't recommend that for a first playthrough though, it really changes a ton of things around for no reason. A lot of the new classes seem to be broken in some way, too, and not in the sense that they're too strong, it's just that some feats flat out don't work.
It's fun for a second run when you want more stuff to fuck around with but I wouldn't recommend it to first timers, ever.
Install Bag of Tricks mod and disable alignment changes and alignment restricted dialog.
should i roll a mostly pure magus or a mostly pure paladin?
Really depends on what you want to play as. Paladin is locked into LG alignment. You can do whatever as a magus. And you also get a magus as a party member, while there are no paladin party members.
You don't use mods before playing a game for the first time you fucking retard.
>Ridiculous amount of time and effort just to change the shape of cheap/abundant food
These gifs will never fail to get me mad.
Bonus points for when the idiot put 3 uncracked eggs into a bowl so they could stir them for a few seconds to get a gimmicky transition shot.
That looks great except they put two too many scoops on the burger. Now you'd have to eat it with a knife & fork.
turn based mod
most people do.
>These gifs will never fail to get me mad.
It's like they are intentionally trying to disgust us.
Why the fuck not?
No mods needed, but my biggest advice is LEVEL PERSUASION AND PERCEPTION.
Don't fall into the "I've got a bard in my party, I'll let her do the talking" trap like I did. There's many times where you need to speak for yourself and if you don't have the skills for it you suffer.
Perception is just super useful in general, since you'll otherwise miss lots of things.
Other than that
* Go after Keston, not your barony
* Go after Amiri first
* Take multiple supplies into the tomb
Don't give your enemies your name
>It's like they are intentionally trying to disgust us.
I think you might be on to something
Get the Tiefling DLC
Which is more fun? Melee or spellcasting?
Don't do this for any arcane caster build
You get lots of time after, it's best to do it ASAP
Well that one is just funny. The other one is poe's law, I dont know if its serious or a joke.
Both are fun, but the most fun Wizard spells aren't in the game, so mages are heavy CC classes really
It's just sausage, egg and cheese. What's getting to you? The amount?
I wouldn't get any of those mods on a first playthrough. Do that afterwards when you know what you're changing
Doing Varnhold's Lot adds a quest and some items to the main story. So either do it before starting or as you enter the relevant chapter.
>calling a hotdog a sausage
Fine it's just bratwurst, egg and cheese.
>desperate hotdog apologist
Can someone explain to me how Nok Nok is CE?
The alignment system is a poorly thought out holdover and should have been ditched a decade ago.
shitty writing
>I wouldn't get any of those mods on a first playthrough.
Then you're making a mistake.
ALRIGHT BOYS
HEADED TO FUCK WITH A NIGGA NAMED ARMAG
>tfw call dachshunds and similar types 'sausage dogs'
>woman in my apartment complex walks a dog that's a ~4ft long and ~2ft high version
>call it a bratdog in my head because it's thick
>How is the murderhobo character meant to poke fun at murderhobos CE
Play a kinetic fire thrower. Congrats, after chapter 2, you've won.
You may think you fucked your character build up for the first few hours, but the reality is you're just weak as shit against most things until level 7-8.
