Last time I played I had a guy leave near the beginning of the game, wait for 15 minutes for it to end only to call me sweaty 30 times. Apparently he was upset that I followed his tracks and downed him 30~ seconds after he was unhooked and said I tunneled him off hook. In reality I didn't know who's tracks they were because it was on the cornfield map, realized it was him and figured I'd just down him to buy me some time to find others. I had no intention of hooking the guy and I even walked away but the guy DC'd right after I hit him. Like what does he want me to do? Have the guy run into me and just ignore him?

I remember getting like 20 profile comments in a day for the most irrational shit. This game unironically has one of the worst communities right up there with league.

Precisely my problem with it. Mate of mine bought it for me a couple weeks ago and I've been playing a couple rounds every few days.
Started off well balanced and pretty fun with some rounds getting too close to call right til the end. Now I'm up to rank 17 and I'm getting lumped with rank 1-5 survivors who know the maps and strats inside and out so I end up only being able to catch the other low levels who must be having a really shit time playing.

I haven't played this in a good 6 months but the amount of salt was absolutely glorious as someone who only plays killer at rank 1 using inane, unconventional strategies. Best one by far was:

>ruin, whispers, iron grasp, and the other one that makes you walk faster while carrying people
>bloody coil, trap bag
>Immediately go to hex totem and trap the fuck out of it. If it's in a spot where 1 trap covers cleansing it or it's next to the basement then it's pretty much an auto-win.
>Anyone who gets downed gets carried literally across the map and in to the basement, which then gets fully trapped and blatantly face camped.
>In the rare case the gates get powered trap the switches.
>In the even rarer case there's 2+ alive at this point then face camp.
The best was getting streamers so I could ghost them and listen to them cry in real time. At trash ranks I would do the above but take insidious and camp in the corner of the basement with a guy hooked until every retard came to their death.

its like any battle pass, there are killer and survivor tasks which give you BP, shards and sometimes other shit like event currency or cosmetics
you can pay 10 bucks for a premium route which has better stuff, also some tasks give you lore about killers or survivors

There's a thousand other things i'd rather be running than Ruin. The bad game design made it horrible to play without it as most killers. It was necessary, not fun.

The change itself was good, but it needed to be released along with other changes to compensate for the nerf. They seem to be trying to do that with the upcoming toolbox changes. Didn't play the beta so we'll see what happens when they release it live.

Last season pass was meh.

With the current one i was actually surprised that the two best skins were on the free route. I'll give them that much.

the main problem is that survivors get gens done too quickly and map size is hell for killers with no mobility. old ruin slowed the game down a little to compensate for the poor mobility in other killers. New ruin doesn't do that and removes alot of killers from the pool because map size and pallet count is fucked.
I think for a base speed killer to make it across mother's dwelling is like half a gen of time
plus you already have half of your perks eaten by SF+enduring.
I haven't been keeping up with changes, how are they changing toolboxes?

They are boosting the speed but significantly reducing the charges. The idea is that they'll be used to repair small sections of gens really fast but you won't be able to get the boost for the whole duration of the generator. So for example you have a gen almost complete and the killer is approaching, you use the toolbox to repair it in time. Also you get more skillchecks now and can't sabotage Trapper's traps anymore, but that's barely a nerf cause nobody sabotaged them anyways.

its kind of a non-change really, its meant to combat the 4x brand new part 5 minute games but it doesn't really achieve that since 4 people blitzing through their toolboxes on 3-4 different gens is gameover for the killer anyway even if its net less than before. if anything it makes random chest toolboxes more valuable

True killer enlightenment is when you realize hard 3gen and camping your first downed survivor until they die is the only way to not want to kill yourself in this game. Slow matches though.
