This game has one of the best video game soundtracks of ALL TIME. I'm not even joking. Just listen to this

Holy shit I never listened to this OST outside of the shitty 3DS speakers
Every dungeon theme in this game is absolutely GOAT
Sexy sound track cooming through
This opinion is legitimately just your nostaglia talking.
You can like the story and recruitment systems of the first two games more, but the gameplay and soundtrack of Super is just straight up better. There's only a couple stand out great tracks from Rescue Team, like Sky Tower, while Super is back to back bangers.
Super Mystery Dungeon is one of those games where it's really hard to not just post every single track in the game in a Yea Forums music thread
>no overbearing battle themes
>no faggot animepop
>no earbleed grunge
>no nigger rap
just smooth jazz

by the way, how good is the game itself?
Personally would rate it below PMD Sky but above the others, pretty good game just with a couple weird decisions.
Best in the series in my opinion.
The gameplay is refined to almost perfection. All the dungeons are shorter, but harder, so they're less tedious while making you use your brain more.
There's a mechanic with items called Emeras, you pick them up throughout a dungeon and they're buffs you can mix and match that greatly incentivize exploring the whole floor. You don't NEED them, but they're gonna help a lot for the tougher bosses.
All starters start with actual good moves, instead of sticking to the main series level up moveset. You're not gonna be confined to Tackle and Ember for 80% of the game like previous entries. And of course, the soundtrack is fantastic.
The main cons people list are that at the beginning of a game you're a kid going to school which feels less interesting than a rookie adventurer just joining a guild. Also, recruitment isn't chance-based. Instead you unlock Pokemon by doing their sidequests. Sometimes you'll get someone several levels higher than you, but you generally can't use them for story missions and if you do use an overleveled guy they'll be "taking a break" and can't be used for a while, so you can't use them as a crutch until your level catches up. Many people don't like the new system but I'm fine with it
Lets just get this one out of the way
