I just played Perfect Dark. So, a Sonic cyberpunk FPS.

It'll turn out to be a great game but not a sonic game.

Last game I played was Sonic 3 and Knuckles. I think it'll be fine.

Last game I played was SRB2 so I'd say kino is back on the menu lads.

It would fail because console plebs and people are so used to running in a straight line that being presented with anything other than that would result in utter confusion for the average player. The lack of proper Sonic-esque level geometry would also be a big sticking point.
