Everything from Legend of Zelda, to Dark Souls, to Diablo 1, to The Elder Scrolls has cave exploration. If you mean "real" caves, what would be the point? They're just rocks.
Minecraft
I mean real cave exploration mechanics
this tbf. the procedural generation + infinite worldspace makes the caves actually feel real and scary, unlike games that are hand crafted which just feel like a roller coaster
I answered that already: it would be boring
DRG is great though.
caves are too scary
I'm sure one will come out......eventually.
I think The Forest had some cool cave exploration, but it also tapped into my fear of no light in enclosed spaces.
Isn't this Netflix Dark?
I did like exploring caves in The Forest. No real mechanics to speak of but the fact that you can get easily get lost when two or more caves link up or you travel through the underwater segments or climb up a waterfall or some shit but definitely fun. And thats besides the spooky monsters and cannibal lairs you find
Arx Fatalis
What about minecraft?
Needs a water level.
not good
>IIIII I AM DWARF AND I AM DIGGING A HOLE, DIGGY DIGGY HOLE, DIGGING A HOLE
Imagine dying in a cave called Nutty Putty
Its pretty much the entirety of Dark Cloud.
Technically, Below is a cave exploration game.
It's just that it isn't very good.
>Why are there no good cave exploration games?
>proceeds to name a bad one
i didn't say it is bad, you mong. It did have some good parts, but it's also weighed down by a lot of bad. Ends up on the middle of the road.
I was racking my brain for an example, and that was the only one i thought of. If your example is Minecraft, fuck off.
