How many have you played? I've played 5 and out of those are portal 1 and 2. Portal 2 is not better than 1 and certainly is not the best game on steam.

Religion bad? So you watched the intro movie and jumped to that conclusion?

based
i love coming home from work to play a game simulating work

between this and farming simulator i have no free time!

>said the man with no games

Why is portal 2 liked so much? Fucking lame ass loading screen between rooms I can’t stand it. Original was 10 times better.

Clearly a shitpost 1/10

1/2

>Portal 2
bloated, worse than the first, epic meme humor

>Witcher 3
Enjoyable but the actual gameplay is pretty weak. Still it feels like you're exploring a fantasy book

>Factorio
Great but incredibly autistic

>Terraria
Simply great

>RimWorld
Good with mods, comparing it to DF is stupid, its obviously lighter and less intensive. You don't always want to dive into the deepest possible game in a genre, Rimworld has its place.

>Binding of Isaac Rebirth
Less skill based than the original but a lot of fun frankly. Just very RNG heavy, but that's what can be fun when you aren't getting fucked

>Portal
Great, re-invented the puzzle genre

>Stardew Valley
It's alright. I'm happy for the dev, its a 1 man show and his success is exciting but I fail to see what this does better than Harvest Moon and Rune Factory is just blatantly better if you don't mind some anime bullshit.

>Euro Truck Simulator 2
Best of the best in terms of sim games. These devs are insane and still add great high quality content to Euro Truck while still consistently building American Truck Sim. Some people got pissed by how long the updates took to trickle out but they spent about a year rescaling the entire existing map which improved the game significantly. Took awhile but it was worth it.

>Counter-Strike
Best in the series, but even if it wasn't its a "classic" so this would of course be on the list

>Mount & Blade
Incredibly unique and fun, and after 8 years the sequel is finally coming at the end of this month. Hopefully we find that on this list as well in the future.

2/2

>Left 4 Dead 2
L4D is one of the most overrated series of all time. Incredibly boring, even pretty boring with friends. What initially is pretty fun and exciting (zombie hordes are done really well and the weapons do generally feel good) falls apart when you realize about 1 campaign in that the entire game feels the same, every single mechanic is painfully shallow, and your objectives are simply to run straight. I wish they did more with Scavenge.

>Slay the Spire
N/A

>A Hat in Time
This game made me love video games again. Incredibly fresh, filled with variety, not just a lazy rehash of old 3D Platformers. The first world is pretty weak but everything after that is fantastic. If people like 6th gen 3D platformers, its definitely an homage to those while also having its own identity

>Hotline Miami
Incredibly satisfying, fast, violent. Not much feels better than looking into a room, formulating a route to kill everyone, and executing it as quickly as possible.

>Battleblock
N/A

>South Park
N/A

>Half Life 2
Yes its one of the most influential games of all time but I can't think of a single trend it started that I actually appreciate. The game is exciting the first time through but in retrospect its pretty boring, similar to L4D you mostly just run straight clearing your path. Still the world feels large, and you do feel like you're on an adventure. Almost everything it did for the gaming industry I find to be a negative though.

bump

>steam version of San Andreas
You know better than that, user, come on
