Bayo 2 is one of those games that you can just play over and over again and never get tired. The skill ceiling is so high that you'll keep on learning new moves, new tech and new combos. I honestly couldn't have hoped for a better sequel. They nailed the combat, story, graphics, dialogue and overall aesthetic. Basically what I'm trying to say is that Bayo is back!!!

Bayo is a consistently better game and more polished experience compared to 3. Bayo is superior in terms of bosses, weapons, gameplay depth, enemy variety, playable characters. 3 is a game has lots of meme missions and meme enemies that drag down the experience. Plus nobody likes that awful backtracking. Sure the Switch port received some additions but nobody plays Bayo on that kiddie console. >inb4 DMC4 has more mechanical depth!!!111 Calm down autismo. I'm glad that Itsuno did away with game-breaking shit like guard-flying, animation cancelling and inertia. The combos in Bayo are easier to pull off without sacrificing depth. Can't speak for everyone but for me it was a much shorter experience, way to reliant on the witch time to the point that enemies will cockblock you in the middle of a combo to force you into it and they took out the non-stop off of infinite Climax mode and being. It's still alright, just disappointing compared to the first.

Lack of soul is the short answer The longer one would be that Bayonetta feels like it has more compelling characters and monster designs and music, it also has a much more climatic buildup to the finale while in 2 I was just left with "So that was it?" I also found the gameplay much easier to follow while in 2 enemies just make too much of a mess on-screen.
