Maybe, but you'll have to pray to the omnissiah that your thread gets any traction
It really is like that sometimes
Cawl is a fucking Gary-Stu and I wish Rowboat Gorillaman was still in a coma.
Fuck Primaris and their retarded design and origin story, GW should'a just rescaled the normal marine models like they did with Chaos.
Nucrons should scale back their Tombkings IN SPAAAAAAACE shit and be murderbots again.
WHY AREN'T HER THIGHS AUGMENTED TOO?
Her legs are OK.
i want a spoof video game set in the text to speech 40k universe
Organics are machinery blessed by the omnissiah too and thus okay to have, some tech priests even have enhanced organics and natural looking modifications instead of just going with the all octo arms and robo claws look
>tfw no game about Dark Mechanicus
Wouldn't the emperor hate these fuckd because they praise tech as a god
Emprah is a fucking corpse, who cares what he thinks. Besides, Imperium got AdMech to praise the Emprah as the "Omnissiah" despite the fact that they're actually praising he void dragon inside Mars
Everyone hates the Dark Mechanicus cause they're heretic fucks.
Regular Mechanicus on the other hand, tough shit, the Imperium can't function without them.
If he did he never mentioned it because his empire would crumble without the mechanicus, and except for titans they don't praise tech as gods they praise the omnissiah and keep the machine spirits from being cantankerous
The imperium should fall apart because its failed at the emperors true goal.
And do what? He's a fucking skeleton and they keep the entire empire running.
>tfw fucking nothing about Dark Mechanicus
Somehow even more incompetent considering how outdated CSM equipment is and the most they've seemingly managed to do is stick the odd demon into a Land Raider. Where's my gun that shoots concentrated damned souls at loyalists?
Fabulous Bill does more work tech work than these assholes and he's like a fucking biologist.
Rats, we're rats. We're the Rats.
We prey at night, we stalk at night
We're the rats.
How is he a Gary Stu? He accomplished ONE single thing in like 11,000 years. Given 11,000 years, I'm sure even you could figure out such a thing if you were a machine fella.
It really sucks cause they could be so much more interesting. At least we got some new skitarii models for the AdMech
We all know the Ecclesiarchy is the only true career path in the Imperium.
>How is he a Gary Stu?
He's a walking tech-heresy and an archmagos
The Imperium needs them more than the Admech needs the Imperium
Any raw uploads of extra OST from Heretek? I don't want to resort to downloading compressed audio from YouTube
>Thought machine spirits were just AI and everyone was retarded in the Imperium
>Turns out they're called machine spirits even during the Horus Heresy
>There's a drop pod with sharp shit that goes ballistic when the boys it delivers get hurt
I posted about this earlier today but if you hold spacebar on the mission selection screen you get access to the biologist's missions.
>He's a walking tech-heresy and an archmagos
So he's like every archmagos?
It'll buff out, you can't expect an organization that was knee capped after pulling humanity back together from the fuckery which destroyed it's insanely advanced society to just fix all it's problems with the snap of a finger right?
>god emperor
>needs to consume souls to gain power
Hmmmm........
>"You kept that mule Kor Phaeron. Russ kept his kin-friends. The Lion kept Luther. Humans - brothers and foster fathers - saved and raised into Legion ranks. But not me. Not Angron, no. Did the Emperor teleport his gold-wrapped Custodians down to help me and my army? No. Did he free the War Hounds and order them to battle, fight alongside me? No. Did he save my brothers and sisters the way he spared the Lion’s closest kin? No, no, and no. No mercy for Angron. Angron the Oathbreaker. Angron the Betrayer."
>"What would you know of struggle, Perfect Son? When have you fought against the mutilation of your mind? When have you had to do anything more than tally compliances and polish your armour?" [...] "The people of your world named you Great One. The people of mine called me Slave. Which one of us landed on a paradise of civilization to be raised by a foster father, Roboute? Which one of us was given armies to lead after training in the halls of the Macraggian high-riders? Which one of us inherited a strong, cultured kingdom? And which one of us had to rise up against a kingdom with nothing but a horde of starving slaves? Which one of us was a child enslaved on a world of monsters, with his brain cut up by carving knives? Listen to your blue-clad wretches yelling of courage and honour, courage and honour, courage and honour. Do you even know the meaning of those words? Courage is fighting the kingdom which enslaves you, no matter that their armies outnumber yours by ten-thousand to one. You know nothing of courage. Honour is resisting a tyrant when all others suckle and grow fat on the hypocrisy he feeds them. You know nothing of honour."
Why is Angron so fucking cool?
Did they change arc scourges to no longer be counted as melee weapons or did Mandalore just miss that?
The machine spirits were created in the peak of humanity's highly advanced civilization. they're most likely AIs but not what we think of as AIs, they're more animalistic and not full blown sentient. the book priests of mars actually has a pretty cool sequence where a tech priest communicates with one.
He doesn't need to consume anything. Imperium is just shoving psykers into a furnace to keep their psychic lighthouse going
Man internet sucks i want the noosphere
The Mechanicus was well established long before the emperor's crusade, they even had their own empire before signing up with the Imperium of Man
The Void Dragon is the Emperors bitch pokemon tho.
Why would the Emperor need to save Lion's order? They were quite capable chaos demon killers unlike Angrons bitch slaves.
Poor Angron got irremediably fucked before he could even have a chance.
He could have been fixed by the emperor but his legion was the bottom of the barrel and fixing him wouldn't help his track record.
Most primarchs ended up on death worlds or worse, most Primarchs ended up rulers of said death worlds by the time Emps arrived. Angron ended up as he started. As a slave. Emps should have just teleported him back down and virus bombed him for the failure he is.
I honestly fucking dig the concept of the Admech
>niggas worship a golden bolter
>they sing hymns at their computer so that it calculates data faster
>they make prayers so bullets don't miss their mark
>their equivalent of the holy communion is plugging their bodies with live conduits
I liked them in World of Warcraft too.
>all that flesh
disgusting
the Omnissiah Edition comes with the soundtrack on steam
None of the other primarchs were lobotomized as babies though.
I don't know when I can buy more games
Technically, they praise Curiosity and scientific knowledge as God.
>The Omnissiah knows all, comprehends all.
The problem is that this is 40k and we're not allowed to have nice things.
So you don't like that 40k changes?
you can probably pirate the gog version then, haven't looked if its all up there
What?
Alright user, thanks
Just bought Mechanicus thanks to him, any tips?
>any tips?
yeah, play the game
Do I click the play button?
>have permadeath on
>think that means i just generate a new guy if someone dies
>actually means you lose that slot
So are there only a small number of techpriests? Am i permanently down one now?
I hope you all prayed to Nurgle today. The plague is coming.
So once the overall Necron bar gets to 100% it's game over right? Wondering if this is supposed to be a game you replay over and over again or if there's a concrete story.
God, dril is literally the funniest person on Twitter. Is that account a communal effort or is it just one guy making daily hilarious tweets?
I'd like to imagine he's from an alternative universe, the crazy fucker.
Literally who?
>Dark Mechanicus
Dark Mechanicum
The Emperor wanted their expertise in tech and made a deal (read: threatened them with exterminatus) with them to serve the Imperium as a quasi independent administration, and in doing so led to them worshipping him as an aspect of the Omnissiah, which is the pokemon the Emperor sealed in Mars a long time ago.
Hereteks and Dark Mechanicus decided that the Chaos Gods are the true aspects of the Omnissiah instead, and somehow are able to keep the more affluent traitor legions supplied with weapons, ammo and daemon engines, sometimes even bringing titans to the field.
We all know orks are superior mechanics
>The Emperor wanted their expertise in tech and made a deal
The Emperor essentially created the Cult Mechanicus in order to use them when he went to conquer the galaxy
Yes.
So what's the deal with orkz in 40k?
They look out of place compared to chaos, imperium, necros and eldar.
Ewwwww
did the game got harder with recents patches or my friend who bought it yesterday and could get pass the 2nd mission is just a brainlet?
I just bought it and it doesn't have this
youtube.com
Also, with the nu galaxy can't I launch games without the overlay tracking faggotry? Can I turn it off or do I have to download the exe from the site?
In my headcannon the omnissiah isn't an actual entity but more like the personification of all human ingenuity.
I haven't even played the game but I'm gonna go with the latter.
I just realized after all that time, that this is supposed to mean "I don't give a damn"
Orks are bioweapons created alongside the Eldar by the Old Ones to fight against the Necrons and C'tan, but the Old Ones lost and went extinct before they could perfect the Orks. They're a pest at worst, but a galactic threat at their most dangerous, to the extent they had weaponized moons, human farms and diplomats eloquent enough to break the High Lords of Terra with words alone.
>human farms
For what purpose
is Lord Mandalore /ourguy/?
food and slaves
For a second there I was worried they were like human farms in Rance.
Descendants or remnants or waste of an incomplete self reproductive superweapon used to battle a great foe. The creator died before completely shuting it off.
Old ones created them as a personal army to fight neurons. They programmed em really well but forgot to implement a fail safe.
They love for fighting and that's it. Their hierarchy is whoever punches the hardest. Their bio engineering also does 3 major things.
>they act like fungus when killed, releasing thousands of spores each which if allowed to grow morph into fully grown boys ready to fight
>some orks are born with specific knowledge ingrained in them. For example one boy will be born and already know how to put pieces together to make a truck.
>each work is a latent psychic with this power based on belief. If they pick up a broken gun and believe it can shoot, it will shoot. When many orks are together this culminates in a huge surge of psychic power called a waaaagh which basically turns all nearby orks into a dnd berserker.
Flesh is weak and disgusting. Only the certainty of steel for the Omnisiahs chosen.
>than the Admech needs the Imperium
You think Abaddon will just ignore Mars when he comes for Terra?
In what sense do you mean 'what's the deal'?
They're half-completed super soldiers made by the Old Ones who dies before they could finish the 'psychic mind control' function to actually order the armies around. So what's left is a rouge race of war loving, hardy mix of an animal and a fungi that reproduce asexually using spores (which was a countermeasure to necrons glassing planets).
They're also (by human theory) all low level psykers and their tech (and other parts of their societies) only works because of their combined belief that they do work.
Or just read 1d4chan.org
It's also worth saying that the "humans" on the farms were heavily mutated by waaagh energy into the cattle the orks saw them as
The Ork's human farms were much more brutal than ARCHFIEND JILL's considering that Jill only bred enough humans to disable the Hero's sword and slaughtered the rest, while the Orks' human farms likely numbered in the billions that lived like actual cattle that the Iron Warriors, some of the most grizzled and jaded warriors in the galaxy, were disgusted and considered putting them out of their misery as a mercy.
>Your sole purpose in stories is to distract the Space Marines and the Imperial Guard from more dangerous threats like Chaos, Tyranids or Necrons. BUT WE'Z GET TA HAVE A REAL GREAT FIGHT WHILEZ BEIN' A DISTRAKSHUN. SO IT'Z STILL ALL GOOD. ALSO HAV YOU EVEN READ DA BEAST ARISES WE ZOG DEM HUMMIES UP.
kek
Fuck off Tzeench.
I don't know shit about warhammer, what are the best vidya to get into it?
Dawn of War 1, Battlefleet Gothic and Mechanicus
Have you read the red waagh campaign books? Imperial guard and knights vs orks is the main focus and its fucking amazing.
And Space Marine
Also spacemarine
Forgot about SM. Also if you like old games Chaos Gate and Vengance of the Blood Angels are also good picks
>Have you read the red waagh campaign books?
That's gonna be difficult for now, because I intend to finally start to read wheel of time.
And that shit is 15 books long.
>Nucrons should scale back their Tombkings IN SPAAAAAAACE shit and be murderbots again.
Fucking this.
God damned Necrons are a travesty right now.
read horus heresy too if you really wanna get sucked in
The first book isnt actually that long can read in 2/3 hours. Just ignore the second one, he couldn't stop themselves from inserting space marines(wolves) vs chaos at the very end.
Da boyz are the best, end of dishcusshin
SPEAK UP YA GIT
ACT PROPPA ORKY OR OI'LL KRUMP YA GOOD
To be a little fair, oldcrons were kept in as the Destroyer cult with a never ending goal of purging all life.
Though I see the main issue nucrons have is that they have no cohesion at all; each of the phaerons and overlords want to do different things like rebuild their empires, enslave other races or resume fighting among themselves. The Silent King should just come back and unite the Necrons against the Tyranids so they have potential flesh bodies to return to and not barren rocks stripped of all life.
But user, wouldn't that make the necrons the de facto good guys of 40k?
ZOG YOU, GIT.
Protecting the meatbags from getting eaten doesn't mean they care about their wellbeing, just so that they have subjects to enslave and experiment on for their potential resurrection.
OI'M DA STRONGEST 'ERE AND WHUT I SAYZ GOEZ
UNLESS YOUZ WANT TO BE SQUIG FOOD YOU'LL DO WHUT I SAYZ
yeah they really fucked up the necrons. they went from one of my favorite factions to a faction I never even think about anymore.
I bet they're going to do the same with the tyranids soon as well
WELL OIM DA MOST KUNNIN SO IF YA DONT WANT YER GUBBINZ WORKIN YA CAN KEEP WHININ YA GROT
Why are there only like 3 games where I can play as the Tau?
Because fuck blue weeb space commies.
To all the new players, don't play on the default difficulty. Its tough at the start but if you're halfway intelligent you can kill the final boss in a single turn of fire from your cyborg posse.
It is worth it for the sheer lulz of having an ancient destroyer of worlds monologue about how pathetic you are and how he won't even remember you because you're pathetic insects moments before your gunline opens fire and evaporates him.
Skitarii reinforcements arriving to bump thread. beep boop
because they're the Mary Sue race of 40k
there is actually 4. DoW:DC, Fire Warrior, both BFGAs. although a titanfall like game with Tau would be sweet, zipping around in an XV8.
>dawn of war
>firewarrior
what's the third game?
Battlefleet Gothic?
Gladius added them a few days ago
both BFGAs. although Tau fleets dont have a campaign in 2, they are playable in skirmish/MP.
Emprah made a pact with them a long time ago and He is generally regarded as being the living embodiment of Omnissiah in their religion.
make it 5 games with Tau now.
Is it an RPG?
galaxy brain moment
Is this any good?
shit diablo clone. very boring.
On release it was shit, but I've read that they fixed most of the issues.
orkz are essentially there to remind wh40k fans not to take this shit too seriously. if not for them, wh40k probably would've already died a slow death by unironic edge poisoning
Quite bare-bones bird-perspective action game. Gets boring quite fast. Only worth playing if you're starving for W40K games that are not turn-based.
I wanna get into the lore of this shit so bad but i have no idea where to start or how to progress. There's so much shit nigga damn.
It's a XCOM clone (no random misses though).
read the thread, there are numerous recommendations for books and games already posted
Check out 1d4chan
Shouldn't they have worshipped an actual manifestation of their Omnissiah in the warp together by now?
Total Warhammer is pretty fun for WH Fantasy
Dawn of War (played expansion packs in release order, with all patches), with sound ON, is essential for 40K.
Well there's always the wiki and 1d4chan
>e-celeb desperately shilling for people to buy game whose devs sponsor him
I fucking hate this board
Start with a single race and read the lore on that one. Read books based on that race, if you want. Don't go for the sampler approach. It's not as fun.
>it's a [thing]-clone
Cool, I'll skip then. I don't know why I thought an indie game could do anything original, shame on me I guess
Don't go to 1d4chan. It'll turn you into a braindead memefaggot that spams the /aco/ xeno thread with old 40k image macros.
>Don't go to 1d4chan, you might accidentally have fun
40k isn't supposed to be about fun, newfag
None of that sounds bad.
I don't know what mandalore was smoking, the medic class is great, you get an ability that lets you choose to heal all your tech-priests or all your troops. I only had 1 tech priest die early on and after that I barely lost any soldiers either.
>orkz
>not fun
You're a fag and deserve to be krump'
TTS is a good starting point but remember that it’s NOT CANON and a fan project
user, you can't just write acronyms without explaining them.
-Browse Lexicanum
-Go to the general on /tg/ and check the megas for books and shits.
>TTS ep 27
what the actual fuck
case in point
this. One of my tanky boys got raped by 5 guys at once and I decided it would never happen again. Have a medic with like 3 medic arms and a healing ability, haven't had to worry about anything. How do I get back dead guys, just doing more missions?
Are there any good 40K games that aren't RTS
or any GW properties (vermintide was ok at best)
If the emperor had a text to speech device you Grot
Sorry, I'm not up to date on my e-celeb meme knowledge
>where to start
There's always multiple answers to this as you can see
>stuck on a toaster for a couple of weeks
>just enough to run mechanicus
>find this
thank u based user may the omnissiah be with you
>Gorillioman wakes up
>looks at the Empire
>This is all fucked up! What the fuck have you faggots done?!
dare I say based
Just leave Yea Forums and go binge it now and don't come back till you finish it. You wont regret it.
space marine is alright
Originality is overrated.
>vermintide was ok at best
What was the highest difficulty you played it on?
truly the greatest captain the universe has ever seen
blams legionnaires in the face and doesn't afraid of anything
>taking a nap in 40k
>wakes up
>stretches
>yawns
>has the audacity to complain
fuck him, his eldar thot, his codex, and that gay chapter of his.
>Cawl is a fucking Gary-Stu and I wish Rowboat Gorillaman was still in a coma.
40k doesn't actually exist since the galaxy is still in 30k, the heresy and everything after never actually happened because it was all just a big LARP by Alpharius and Omegon with their legion pretending to be both sides.
HYDRA DOMINATUS
Browse lexicanum, or some online codexes. Theres also neat non-novel books like The Sabbat Crusades: A fake "history book" of an ongoing war campaign with plenty of fun photoshopped WW1 pictures and drawings. Imperial Guard (soviets in space) vs different sorts of Lost and the Damned forces of Chaos, (cultists, torturers, dark mechanicus, demon warlords, daemons themselves and two new Chaos cults that copy the military doctrine of Imperial Guard regiments.)
Angron's a git and little more than an angry caveman. Now Perturabo, that's a real stone cold son of a bitch
WHAT VERSION OF CHAPTERMASTER DO I PLAY
Perturabo is the 30k millenium's poster boy for autistic butthurt manchild.
Which is a shame because he was an engineering savant and got on well with a number of his brothers in scholarly pursuits, and was down to earth enough to warn Magnus of his hubris. If only he had consistent writers so he doesn't appear to have moodswings every other book.
This but also lots of it is garbage filler or just kinda important garbage. You can read about 10% of it and get the gist of it.
>not simply ignoring all the lore that clashes with your established headcanon
You've got a long road ahead of you
>lore video playlist to get you started
youtube.com
Then go to lexicanum and read on whatever interests you
>good novel series
Horus Heresy if you want to know more about the most important event in the history of Imperium
Gaunt's Ghosts if you want imperial guard
Eisenhorn and Ravenor if you want inquisition
Night Lords omnibus, Black Legion series, Lords of Silence are all good for chaos stuff
>All the codices have good lore for the given faction, link also has loads of novels
mega.nz
the entire 40k universe is such an obvious cash grab. any nigger can write a book in the horus series and shit. everything is built around selling merchandise and more of it.
is it cooler than dune, i agree, but trying to get into it in 2020 from a complete "wtf is 40k" is just ludacris.
I love 40k but it's such a clusterfuck of retcons on pile of retcons and interpretations of dozens of authors that you really can't take it as one. Just enjoy what you enjoy and ignore what you don't.
It’s just semi-decentralized canon
Bash me all you want but I'd love some proper aos games, setting is ripe for games of all genre however gw are just dumb about it.
Despite Vermintide games being a success, the devs still managed to fuck them up.
And Chaosbane was just shit.

Sounds like heretek talk right there boyo.
>tfw no good chaos game
DoW2
this. books 1-4 are pretty well received. some of my favorite personally. Fulgrim is pretty good. has a girl killing a guy as he nuts and mixing the various fluids into paints. Mark of Calth or is it betrayal at calth? cant remember. Angel Exterminatus is a decent read. the books that have 5 or so short stories usually have a few good gems. Thousand Sons and Prospero Burns for Magnus and his fuck ups.
Its a turn based tactical, dumbshit. Better?
Warhammer underworld is based on the side board game of the same name and it's actually really good and has a nicely sized player base. I'm just waiting on them to release more teams.
But I'd like other games, like a spacemarine equivalent where you play a storm cast in one of tzeentch silver towers, or a resident evil 2 re style game where you play a witch hunter in a dead town full of nagash's minions while a necropolis stalker hunts you mr x style. A soul caliber like fighting game, age of mythology like rts. Sooo many different ideas right there.
The Chaos DLC in Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 was pretty decent.
A standalone game featuring the average life of a Chaos Marine would be pretty nice though.
>rule over your mini empire of slaves/cultists with your warband
>launch raids on Imperial worlds or rival warbands
>launch raids on xeno worlds for xenotech or Forgeworlds for archeotech to trade with the Dark Mechanicus for new weapons and supplies
>bargain with daemons for boons with respective prices (i.e. get a daemon sword for the soul of your comrade)
>recruit Cult Marines into your warband based on your alignment to the Gods
>watch the loyalty of your warband and get rid of uppity comrades before you get SINDRI'd
>become the Chaos Gods' new chosen one and usurp Abaddon himself to lead a final assault on Terra
>be imperial priest
>minister to an all female guard regiment
>even the commissar is a woman
>one soldier comes to me to confess her sins
>tells me she has been very bad and needs to be punished
>starts to take off her clothes so she can be chastised by a man of faith as she puts it
>tell her it's not necessary, all men falter on the path set for us by the Emperor and only through service and sacrifice do we know his grace.
>tell her to say 10 Our Emperor's and kill 5 heretics for forgiveness of her sins.
Truly service is it's own reward.
Yep. It got a tad harder with newer patches, but still lategame will be a cakewalk with the right Techpriest skills, weapons and units with the proper upgrades.
youtube.com
I'd post a flowchart of the books but it seems my countrymen have been cancerous shits and I'm rangebanned from posting images.
Google HHSeriesOrder.jpeg if you want to see how all the storylines flow through the books.
Did the devs abandon mechanicus/move to a different project or should I sit on my ass a bit more to wait for more content or patches?
No idea, but I wouldn't expect for more. It's a pretty decent game as long as you fiddle around with the difficulty a bit. It starts kinda hard and gets trivial very fast.
>youtube.com
Amazing I had already been watching these videos in my attempt to try and get into it. Felt like I was doing myself a disservice, however.
>mega.nz
Thanks m8
I wish to one day do the series justice with some sort of animation/game.
genetic science and biological engineering are perfectly acceptable and are well established practices within the adeptus mechanicus. And you need only look towords one stellar cartographer linya tychon as an example of simple and low key modifications
>Felt like I was doing myself a disservice
Luetin knows his lore. Sure they are just a scratch upon the lore but they are a good way to get started and find a subject you can find more about from different sources.
>A literal who
Why would you need an excuse to make a Warhammer thread?
>he doesn't know who mandalore is
>Luetin makes Ordo Sinister video
>then Oculus makes Ordo Sinister video
Why isn't there a big tiddy 40k gacha game? Surely GW haven't missed the money in waifu jpegs
Designed for one specific task which is to subdue necrons and the c'tan but then was left unsupervised so now that task has spread across the galaxy
They are now a natural calamity in the galaxy, like cancer or drought
In terms of victory conditions, the orks have already won since they only exist to fight and the galaxy has no shortage of it in the foreseeable future
His Mordant Acid Dogs video is still my favorite.
"No"
Mars became autonomous long before the emperor started doing shit. The mechanicus believed him to be the very god they worship due to how much beautiful and powerful technology he shits out
Mars was so powerful that the emperor added martian autonomy in the conditions for joining the imperium. They can do whatever they wish as long as they provide military gear and not pursue artificial intelligence
Aren't the Tau getting fucked up right now?
Yes. Mortarion got his eye on them.
I think nucrons are alright but that's because their role as mindless murder machines that exist to purge all life was kind of infringed on by tyranids. There's potential for nucrons
Elaborate.
What all has happened in the last year or two, overall?
They thought not turning the other cheek was a good idea
I'm not the most versed in the current timeline but basically
Abaddon broke Cadia, created a warp rift that split the Imperium in two
Magnus fucked up shit at Fenris, with enough sacrifices was able to bring the planet of sorcerers from the Eye to real space
Mortarion fought against Guilliman, pushed him back, defiled loads of worlds and is now infecting into Tau area
Oh also in the Eye Corax fucked up Lorgar forcing him to run like a bitch. But that's what Lorgar does.
The Tau figured out how to create Warpdrive cores to outfit their Fifth Sphere Expansion. Unfortunately they neglected to implement gellar fields. After getting buttfucked by daemons on their maiden voyage, they land smack dab in the middle of the Scourge Stars which is Death Guard territory.
Aren't the Pus Boys now invading the Tau Empire?
>The Tau figured out how to create Warpdrive cores to outfit their Fifth Sphere Expansion. Unfortunately they neglected to implement gellar fields.
And thus we went full circle with Event Horizon
I wonder how the first warp jump humans did went.
They're on the way, and so are the Imperials and Genestealer cults.
Tfw no wh40k game written by Chris Avellone
>tau in trouble
So whens little kitten going to run off and save his waifu?
TTS reference
Don't forget the Fourth Sphere survivors who survived Warp travel and have now gone full Imperium.
>However nearby Imperial worlds were rapidly colonized with a violent eagerness on the part of the former commanders of the Fourth that saw mass purges uncharacteristic of the Tau. Prisoners were massacred and Auxiliaries were intentionally sacrificed in battle. The Massacre of the Dul'un Lakes and the Eight Days of Infamy are the most famous episodes from this controversy. Eventually, Shadowsun and the Ethereal Council disciplined the Fourth Sphere commanders with a ritual punishment known as the Malk'la before they were returned to the ranks or sent back to the empire for re-assimilation. After a massacre and bloody Kroot uprising upon the colony of Ky'san, all auxiliaries were removed from contingents of Fourth Sphere Tau.
As the story line is now Guilliman is going to come and save them or some gay shit.
>They're on the way, and so are the Imperials and Genestealer cults.
First Sunny, in her new spanking suit and with curves finally proving that female Tau do have a sexual dimorphism (and it's glorious) has to deal with walking bio-hazards, she'll probably get to fight Primaris Shrike and Kor'sarro. Also in case of Stealer Cults...hoping there will be Tau Cultists too. Would've been very interesting if Genestealer Cults were expanded to include stuff other than humans.
I'd gladly see him doing a Dark Heresy RPG with a lot of noir stuff.
>tfw no abhuman cat Imperial Guard regiment
why would anyone willingly give themselves to papa nurgle
Eeeh Chadavellone is good at deconstructing setting.
We don't need that in 40k.
Squats will get a Codex sooner than the Guard will get Felinid squads.
I pity that poor commisar.
>t. has two cats
That is a very hard question to answer, its why his followers are generally the hardest to write about. I remember in the Night Lords trilogy, when Talos is being tempted by the four chaos gods, when Nurgle comes around he just straight says "You will never join me" and leaves it at that.
Nurlge's "blessing" works like ransomware. He unleashes a plague on an unsuspecting populace and offers relief from the agony and despair if they sell their souls.
Why do people even worship chaos? Who looks at this guy's chest tentacles and thinks they want some of that?
Need a 40k movie directed by 30 years younger Paul Verhoeven.
The primordial truth is very convincing. And an extremely devout chaos follower would probably say that the Warp is a mirror, merely reflecting what is already there on the outside, any mutation being not a random thing but a deliberate blessing from the warp.
I would imagine it would only appeal to those that are extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY lazy.
Embrace the filth and decay
Nobody knows, that knowledge was destroyed or forgotten during the huge fuck up known as slaanesh's birth, which created the eye of terror and destroyed humanity's most advanced civilization ever known
lmao2cats
Its your classic devils bargain type deal, people join for lots of reasons.
>I'm going to die on this battlefield and fail my people, I wish I was strong enough to win, consequences be damned
>If I could just understand this magic I could do real good with it, maybe even use it against its masters
>I don't care about my life, I just want to create the greatest work of art mankind has ever seen
>Dude, disease lmao
Power, freedom, psychological and physical corruption
Well get a movie... directed by Paul Anderson. A time portal opens in time sucking in a unit of soldiers, sergeant being directors wife who is perfect in everything. She is only one in squad who survives and fights with space marines against orks but she's the one to save everyone as she dials a gargantuan with psychic powers she gained from nowhere and instantly masters.
>that knowledge was destroyed or forgotten during the huge fuck up known as slaanesh's birth
Didn't that happen during the war against the men of iron?
Watch event horizon to find out
If The Emperor Had a Text-To-Speech Device. It's a kind of weird lore/comedy hybrid series by a Swedish madlad named Alfabusa and it's actually pretty good.
I dunno, It seems like most mutations are negative. I don't want tastebuds in my large intestine or a foot that screams at passers by. Do they have ones that are actually good?
>a foot that screams at passers by
That sounds absolutely lovey user what the fuck
The war against the men of iron was happening at the same time, in fact their rebellion was most likely caused by the warp fuckery going on. It was this combo that caused the age of strife
He's not a good writer
(You)
Isn't he the only chaos god that actually sort of cares about his worshippers and loves them in his own twisted way? I also don't think they feel any pain or discomfort so the whole decay thing is not a bothering them. That's what I gathered from these threads over the years.
Yeah, that's what I got from his lore. He has his own mansion in the warp and sometimes will just chill in a chair on the porch, he'll even chat with passersby.
So what happens when awakening reaches 100?
Reminder that there isn't a single videogame genre that 40k will not fit
Reminder that the total creative freedom the setting affords will continue to be squandered for the rest of time
Truly Wacky Races.
So I too can be raped by a corrupted adaptas sorirtos sister. You know the story.
To be honest, I would prefer 40k stay where it is in terms of media, getting C and B tier studios and smaller fan made things. The worst thing that could happen would be making 40k mainstream, I'd prefer them to pull the plug then that.
>got space marine on sale and played it last month
>lots of fun
>space marine II & III never ever
fucking hell
>
rogue trader/40k was originally punky sci-fi with a healthy dose of tongue-in-cheek humour.
GW have obviously since raped the brand for money. Orcs are one of the few things left over from old GW.
Read horus heresy then pretend the rest didn't happen
i hate what they did to dawn of war even though i've never played any game in the series
Why? They keep churning out barebones videogames in the hopes they can throw dlc at it.
>The worst thing that could happen would be making 40k mainstream
Oh you're just retarded.
Orks have come a long way since communal shitpits
>Doing a jaunty dance in the shitpit
Now thats the orks I know and love.
I hope that they don't come away from the communal shit pit. It looks like it's cool as hell to hang around if you're an ork.
it's sad that 90% of the shit outside imperium+chaos struggle is just there for gw to occasionally point at and reference.
>look orcs! haha! it isn't all grimdark guvnors!
I assume that wasn't the image you intended to post, but its always nice to see someone posting non-GW minis.
Remember what we've lost
i intended to. I like non-gw minis because people have less of a hard on for getting perfect paint jobs. The charm for amateur painted mini's is great.
If they want more then they get at the minute, the setting will be diluted. I assume your a yank who can't get his head around the fact that some settings would be ruined if made into a 16 part movie series.
Get it on sale. It's a fun little Diablo clone but if you aren't big time into 40k it will get old fast.
I remember trying that but it feels like if you're not a 40kfag or using a guide you're basically a blind retard whenever multiple choice comes up. Like every choice is giant spiders in FTL tier.
i hate how mandalore reviews are flat out shilling at this point with very little humor.
and sseth reviews ARE shilling with "i want 4channers to laugh at this" humor.
I've seen some pretty nice non-GW mini paints.
I'm just taking the opportunity to post more mini pics
Their whole schtick is either showing off games they really love or games that are ridiculously awful. Thats not shilling, thats called liking things.
ok brainlet
who /whitescars/ here
It's okay to shill good things you like, and mechanicus is definitely worth shilling
sseth's synthetik review was 100% shilling.
Is this one of those new buzzword bots that are getting rolled out?
That game legitimately seems like something sseth would enjoy though, I saw him play similar games on his stream to kill time back when he did those.
Catapult is cute CUTE!
Machine Spirits are actually human brains wired into computers, since there are technically biological components it isn't actually AI. At least that what the Mechanicus wants you to believe.
I want Battlefleet Gothic 3
Machine spirits are any program that runs in a machine. Windows10 is a machine spirit
So Mechanicus is good?
THE LION
>The Chaos DLC in Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 was pretty decent.
It was interesting in that it portrayed CSM as more than just crazed lunatics.
GAO?
Gameplay wise, it's wonkily balanced, with an early game wall and then difficulty starts to free fall once you get the ball rolling.
However, it's carried by exemplary presentation. The art, sounds and music are all great, and the dialogue/flavor blurb writing is palatable enough that "Get in, loot/purge every piece of xenotech you find" doesn't feel quite as dull.
For comparison, xcom2 is likewise a simplified game that hinges on its presentation but I like Mechanicus' better.
THE FIRST
I really liked it, one of the few games I'm actually going to go back and replay on a harder difficulty.
The start is hard but the game rapidly gets easier as you figure out how to make busted good tech priests, to the point that the end game is so easy that its funny, at least on the default difficulty.
The music and sound are absolutely godlike, the game looks good and the game has significantly more depth than a game like xcom while removing most of the most annoying mechanics.
Its definitely the best 40k game since Space Marine and well worth a buy.
What happens when awakening reaches 100 in mechanicus?
Humanity had fully sentient AI's back then.
The machine spirits are a fucky compromise.
game over i think
You fuck off and lose the game.
Higher awakening increases difficulty when it reaches 100% the only mission you can do is the final tomb and see the ending. But you can reach the final mission waaaaay before you get 100 awakening tho.
You wake up from your coma in the real world
>Humanity had fully sentient AI's back then.
And that was not a good thing
Because the first thing that will happen is media complaining about toxic masculinity and far right association
They still have it and use it in war according to the new Lion Horus heresy novel the dark angels have Men of Iron as slave warriors to use against psykers.
Not all.
They had ships that can dab on almost any other races ships.
Which are still the same ships the Imperium are running but better cause it functions at full capacity.
Like the Esperanza or that one Pre-Imperium ship that destroyed an entire fleet cause they killer her Captain when he told him that all their ideas and beliefs are fucking stupid.
I'm Scottish and I was referring to vidya
>Esperanza
Are you talking about the Speranza Ark Mechanicus because that one is a AI pretending to be a ship cogitator. The golden age ship that fucked off after they offed it's captain had no name.
>the game has significantly more depth than a game like xcom
I wouldn't have said that honestly. You've more freedom in how you customize your soldiers and you pack more usables per tech-priest, but they amputated the base building, the map exploration is token, and the absence of things like fog of war hinder the tactical aspect.
Being free from the horrible 2 action point system more than makes up for it to me, I agree, but that doesn't make it deeper- just significantly more snowball-combo-based.
Wasn't the AI highly susceptible to Chaos, or am I missremembering (I might be confusing it with Mutant Chronicles)
meant to put an 'or" in there.
That's the the Castigator titan AI that made a pact with chaos.
Of course they did, but they also had this weird ass animalistic AI that wasn't fully sentient that basically inhabited their star ships, vehicles, buildings etc.
>tfw no noise marine game
no wubcannons either, we rock as men
No it's just that AI is entirely logical so it arrives at logical conclusion that to eradicate Chaos which is completely illogical is to exterminate all sentient life that fuels Chaos, therefore logic can once again reign supreme.
Then if it's in AI's directive it can proceed to test biological breeding until only warp-nulls humans can be born, in case that creators of that AI are humans.
Then you got fucking Curze clawing his way through fucking adamantium as an even younger baby just to get some man-meat.
Noise marines don't do wub wub like in DoW2. They output high frequency static that shatters steel not music.
>they amputated the base building, the map exploration is token, and the absence of things like fog of war hinder the tactical aspect
The only thing there that really added any depth was the fog of war and that is somewhat simulated by the reinforcements suddenly appearing.
The game also has a lot more going on in turns of how you can equip your units and just has a wider variety of units in general. Simply put, you have more options in a battle.
cultist-chan a qt
NOTaManOfIron.jpg
Just be happy with what we've got, the entire bloody Warhammer community hates our guts and dealing with some of the rabid autismos gives me migraines.
So did all the Man of Iron get wiped out or did some survive
Which is mega gay.
>my augmentation server 2 porpose human
>serve the voice of the omnissiah

Not really. Maps having proper line of sights and cover SHOULD make a small unit tactics game deeper- it's just undermined by xcom's trash LOS, trash maps, and pod system.
Base building is just reskinned tech trees, but tech trees are worthwhile. Getting most of your gear in the room gacha feels like shit for progression and so does basic gear being tied to mission rewards. The economy made the game deeper by virtue of choice in where you spent your resources- here you just dump your priests along towards their god skill and call it a day.
Your turns simultaneously have more and less things going on. Positioning only matters for melee and body blocking, there is no difference between point blank and max range, there is no proper way to break LOS, the AI is dumb as a brick and aggro is extremely basic. The game is significantly more based on combos instead, but in spite of that these are for the most part very straightforward. I'd say the real additions of Mechanicus are that the awakening meter shits on xcom's timer.
He isn't even that special anymore according to this
Lets be honest, in Xcom base building was “Do it right or die”, rather thanbeing able to do anything creative the extremely unforgiving early game cemented doing only what gets you the strongest the fastest. Map Exploration was also gutted in Nu-com, in 1 there’s very little to get except meld with the expansion, and with 2 in every mission except “Kill the dude” your exploration is limited to the shortest line between you and the objective due to the timer.
You can get more slots later in the game, not sure if you regain access to "locked" slots though
Imagine being this guy. Is there a worse fate for a soldier than this shit. That's why AdMech is the most creepy shit in 40k.
Worse has been done
Any vidya songs as good as this one? Why is the ost of mechanicus so good anyways.

To bad the game is meciocre, like any other warhammer game tee hee
>has limbs
>has a head
Nah it can't be worse then loosing your limbs, skull and having it replaced by a humming emitter that rapes your mind. And that's considered a reward for a lasting service mind you
That isn't noosphere so I'm going to say yes.

Any other good Warhammer (fantasy or 40k) games?
Is Battlefleet Gothic 2 good (considering that I don't give a shit about multiplayer balance and superficial differences from 1)?
Also played Mark of Chaos long ago and kinda liked it but I assume it's irrelevant now when TWWH exists.
Last time I ever checked on Tyranids, the Genestealer cult was simple, one Magus under the orders of the Patriarch gathers the hybrids and converts to prepare for the invasion and wreck havoc internally when the Tyranids come invading.
Now I'm seeing things like the cults having gunslinging hero figures and shit.
warhammer40k.fandom.com
Did it first
End of Golden Age was around slightly before Eldar went into murderfucking Slaanesh, Age of Strife started about the same time as Eldar fall into degeneracy, if not slightly earlier and then lasted until Slaanesh popped out the warp and rest is history.
Any vidya songs as good as this one?
I like the historical campaign of BFG1 over the fanfiction ones from BFG2 The sequel just doesn't even reach the same brilliance the first one did with it's climatic cutscenes. The two warp storm cutscenes form BFG1 are peak 40k.
I generally don't like GWs new stuff but I am definitely going to need to get my hands on this stranger from out of town.
True
It's like 20 euros for that one model
Not if I contact a certain Chinaman.
Assuming he's still alive when this all blows over.
>implying he didn't know what he was signing up for
every sicarian infiltrator was once a warrior of the skitarii who in the pursuance of the cult mechanicus' agenda, was blasted limb from limb, extensively burned or otherwise dismembered. During the data-harvest at a battle's end, if these fallen are judged still fit to serve the omnissiah they are not incinerated but instead taken back to the augmetic slabs. There they are given a new lease on life by the addition of slender but powerful metal limbs. All the magi biologis need to create a sicarian is a head, a torso and some limb stumps.
People like fridgebro exist. Nurgle is the most believable Chaos god. I'd say that anyone who has a pissbottle is already a Nurgle worshiper.
Looks like Berserk
>ad mechanicus get's batman, a flapping helicopter and skiitari riding dogs as if they didn't looked stupid enough
I can see where you are coming from BUT
>Dark angels Chadarus
>Mephiston Primaris
>Iron Papi Feirros
They still make some good stuff, extremely expensive but good stuff.
Of huck, I thought BFG1 doesn't have a campaign.
I think the primaris can look decent, I just hate the concept of space marine space marines on general principle.
It has and it's main hero is the hero of the imperial campaign in the sequel.
Ion Fury is
Howdy partner, so I've a been hearin yous be talking shit bout me and ma crew.
>Mentions the (((errors))) ruining society
How did they get away with this?
I also hate how BFG2 gives you much fewer ship customization options and instead puts you in charge of several interchangeable fleets.
The campaign in the second one is also incredibly tedious after the first two galaxies or so.

Reminder that Ork society is the ideal society
Yus done it now!
The ideal society is the one where I'm the planetary governor of a pleasure world
Ok slaneeshi
Their alliance is solely predicated upon the fact that they believe the Emperor, whom they call the Omnissiah, to be the physical avatar of their Tech God.
>orks are actually engineered bioweapon fungi
Wait what?
N-no, I'm totally a loyal citizen. Praise the emperor
Long ago, the universe was ruled by frogs. These were known as the Old Ones, aka Da Brainboyz. One day, they got into a disagreement with some metal emo Egyptians and their fart cloud gods and decided to settle it in smash. So they bioengineered a race and have them their own little gestalt warp bullshit powers that aren’t actually warp powers, but got pwned before they could complete the control mechanism. So these sons of frogs went about fighting on their own terms. That race’s name? Da Krorks.
yeah they don't have sex, they release spores and just grow
It's barely depicted in the lore, but a great part of Chaos followers would be considered "moderates". They most likely seek chaos blessings in the same way people pray to God today, like a man praying to Nurgle for health or a soldier praying to Khorne to find courage in a coming battle. These people aren't significant enough in the eyes of the Chaos gods to warrant physical corruption or even mental corruption. Of course, these cases aren't spectacular enough to get a mention in the books.
That's stupid. Orks just exist and fight.
The real pleasure world is Sisters' of Battle training chamber where you're a servitor and get your neck broken with their strong thighs hundreds of times every day.
Damn, I've never been interested in the genre that much but Mechanicus looks legit good. I'll probably get it just for the music.
Well yeah, ya git, but ya gotta get to da fight sumhow
Also the Krork make the modern Ork Warboss look like a gretchin. According to a harlequin, who fought the Krork a long time ago even the Beast’s Legions were nothing compared to the Krork. Trazyn also has a preserved one in his room of bullshit and it’s 12 meters tall and in armor more sophisticated than power armor.
That’s what park Ork looks like
>park
peak*
So why are they shorter now? Should evolution dictate they only go up given how 40k is all about having the biggest dick in the room?
FREE MY NIGGAS THE SQUATS
Yes, but their alliance is critical to the continued existence of the empire, so the Admech and the empire have handwaved it as "well, the god-emperor is sustained by machines so let's just say he IS the machine spirit" so the mechanicus can keep their beliefs but still pretend they give a shit about the emperor whenever inquisitors come knocking.
Really, they are too important to the empire to pick a fight with them over the specifics, as long as they pay lip service
I liked how the only character with an uncovered mouth has a Judge Dredd-tier frown.
Orks get bigga the more fightin there is, and more advanced the bigger the WAAAGH! is. The War in Heaven was a lot more intense than even the 41st millineum, and even a more contemporary rallying and advancement of the Ork race such as The Beast’s WAAAGH! paled in comparison to the Krork. When shit really hits the fan maybe we’ll see them reach those levels but until then we’ll get our silly fighty boyz. Though recent lore makes it seem like Maggy himself is well on his way there
He's the most religious one of the bunch always on the lookout for tech heretics among the magos.
It makes sense, really. In a world where data is as corrupted and knowledge is as fragile as theirs, you do whatever gets that shit working. Hell, I'm a software engineer and I could easily describe part of my job as "performing rituals in hopes of placating the machine spirits"
Sorry, I goofed, they pay lip service to the idea that the life-sipport emperor is the omnissaiah, not the machine spirit.
this
both sides know the "Emperor as Omnissiah" thing is kinda full of shit but it wouldn't be very productive for each go to war with their closest and most useful allies even if their core beliefs are incompatible so they just don't think about it too hard and leave it at that
Their sex is coughing, or just any type of breathing in general.
In technical terms dying is the biggest nut an ork will ever nut during it's life time, and every little ork floater is gonna knock of nook or cranny up.
Imagine... Golden Throne's machine spirit...
Videx is the most annoying advisor by far. Scaevola is extremely based, as is Khepra. And Faustinus is the most based of all.
That fucker probably needs a lot of placating.
Get afflicted with one of Nurgle's plagues.
Suffer so much you agree to worship Nurgle to stop the pain and suffering.
Instead of curing you, he twists your mind so that the illness feels good to you. You feel soothed by the plague and you like it so much you decide you want to share it with everyone. And Nurgle is happy that his family has grown even bigger.
You fuck up a mission and are surrounded by the enemy. You are about to be absolutely fucked and suddenly these guys show up and curb stomp the enemy and saving your ass.

lucky you I suppose
ah, Same idea. I think you need to lean less into the "big tiddy wife" and more into "my dude's are cooler" idea of 40k. Someone that's really into world eaters would whale just as hard for kharn as someone would whale for there anime wife
lol Tau sound even more stuck up then Eldar
The Tau were meant to be bullied.
Chaos are chumps
Tau are absolute retards
It's because the Tau's immense sense of self-superiority isn't tainted by an unspoken acknowledgement that they fucked up so hard that they're now doomed to extinction.
>Tau are absolute retards
Just like all the other xenos.
Because on the galactic scale they're a miniscule force that could be wiped out in the blink of an eye by any of the big players.
For comparison: the entire Tau Empire is around 40-50 inhabited worlds. The Imperium of Man is over A MILLION. The Tau are such a small race that they are probably heavily outnumbered even by fucking Craftworld Eldar.
Liking Tau is admitting you don't like 40k and it's core ideas of grimdark.
>inb4 b-but they are grimdark now!
Yeah sure go back to building gunpla weeb.
>inviting Necrons to a feast
>getting outsmarted by Orks
they take it to a whole other lever
I remember something about the Tau being unable to comprehend that there are billions inside a hive world or that shit about them celebrating after fending off one battalion of Imperial Guardsman then shit their pants at the sight of the full force coming in
Friendly reminder that:
The Tau have evolved quickly, leading to huge deficits and weaknesses in their physiology. use these facts to your advantage and you will prevail
+ Tau have hollow bones. Their limbs break easily under little applied pressure
+ Tau have poor eyesight. Anything over ten meters away is always a blur
+ Tau are frighted by fire
+ Tau are frighted by water
+ Tau are frighted by thunder
Xenos experts have discovered that tau are descended from bovine herbivores. thus they are not predators and fighting is unnatural to them
Tau have udders, short tails above the base of the spine, and they excrete enormous amount of methane gas, especially when they are stressed
They chew cud for approximately four hours a day. When involved in this disgusting habit their metabolism and reflexes slow down, making them very vulnerable to attack
Tau are herd creatures that panic easily. Their usual response to stressful situations is either wail and lie face down on the ground with their hand over their heads, or run around in circles hoping to confuse their aggressor.
In battle, the Tau are disorganized and cowardly. They fight from a distance and their poor aim makes this tactic ineffective.
To compensate for their poor eyesight, they have developed acute hearing. Their eardrums are so sensitive that if you make a large enough noise (for example, shouting the Litany of death) it causes deafness and immediate confusion.
The Tau are naturally hairless and find hirsute people unnerving
>Because on the galactic scale they're a miniscule force that could be wiped out in the blink of an eye by any of the big players.
Yeah the problem is that every in-lore attempt made by the imperium to destroy them was always averted by autistic levels of plot armor exposing the core problems with the whole faction and it's supposed "insignificant" role in the setting. When Terra gets raided by chaos legions, the Tau are fighting the Death Guard and losing only a few fringe backwater worlds to them. It's bullshit.
BY TAAL
And yet a single Tau has purged a whole fortress monastery in the lore. Nice weaknesses when they can slice SM's in half.
>+ Tau have hollow bones. Their limbs break easily under little applied pressure
Very important
I don't think thick bones would protect you from the stomps of a space marine either.
>Tau have poor eyesight.
Funny thing is that this is actually true. It's why Fire Warriors with all their fancy standard-issue optics can generally only shoot as well as a Guardsman eyeballing it down his little scope.
I mean in Imperiums case they get entire chaos crusade going their way.
For Tau case a detachment of Death Guard after-party crew stumbled into their side of space.
It just means even a humble guardsman would be able to follow the example of the honorable and esteemed Cato Sicarius first captain of the based company.
Green leaf.
>only shoot as well as a Guardsman eyeballing it down his little scope
Standard issue lasguns don't even have a scope.
>"Would your forefathers be proud to see you cut down a helpless unarmed female? Would the king amongst kings you must venerate be impressed? He whose code you follow?"
ultramarines be like:
Xeno scum think honor extends to them lol.
To be fair with lasguns even an idiot can correct his aim by the 5th shot on full auto.
It's a literal laser pointer as auxiliary function of how lasguns deal damage.
>40K

Space Hulk: Deathwing (Only play this if you have friends or you really like playing a horde shooter where you have to micromanage your NPC Allies)
>Warhammer
Vermintide 1 & 2
Total War: Warhammer 1 & 2
As with all of these games, only play them if you like the genre they are part of.
And the example of the Beast shows that, if left in peace for long enough, they eventually WILL develop a more sophisticated society. It seems to be the case that so-called "Brain Boys" are not extinct, but simply the attrition rate of Orks is such that, should one be born, he will be killed too soon to properly "grow up".
It's probably like doing taxes. There's theoretically a somewhat better way to handle things but what you have works, has been proven to work, and if you rock the boat things will probably get a lot worse before they have a chance to get better.
It's ok/10, I kinda liked the story too
So the chaos gods in 40k are the same as in fantasy warhammer?
It varies between artist and writer, but sometimes that little tube running along the top is depicted as a sight and sometimes it's not.
Yes, what more the Fantasy chaos gods came from the 40k world according to the lore.
Read Liber Chaotica. It outright states that someone who gives himself willingly to Nurgle (and not just by becoming infected and running to Papa for help) and embodies him mind and soul, carries little to no taint upon his body. Nurgle himself is described as looking like a regular, elderly man with a kind smile and yellow eyes.
I want to play it but it's fucking $80 with all the DLC and $50 without. The only torrents I've seen are fairly old too, and I heard it sucked on release.
You're probably right, I checked my uplifting primer and optic sights are listed separately (marked: not standard) and the little tube is just part of the body casing.
>torrents
Bruh, the game is online
You'd think they'd be able to re-evolve back into krorks if they're left alone to fight amongst themselves or a fitting enemy like Leviathan without being (almost) wiped out regularly.
Fuck off waifufag.
Get it on console? It seems to be way cheaper there.
in the lore lasguns vary greatly in design from world to world, with the magazine at least being completely standard
the ryza you see here is from the older guard model line when the minis were from necromunda instead of cadia, hence the noncompliance
literally novels where the emperor said "yo what the fuck the nails are embedded so deep it would kill him if i removed them"
There is also a novel where asked if he can removed them he says yes, but why bother lol
You have to remember, user, that those are bionics, not lifeless metal. He can actually FEEL them as if he would have regular limbs.
As long as he brings back Pariahs, I will accept this.
Literally says it isn't lobotomized as hard as the Skitarii.
The latest console I have is a ps3.
You are on a hive world. Your life is shit. Everything is shit. You wake up in the morning, work for nearly 10-14 hours, eat your pitiful sludge of a meal that taste like toxin, and then go to bed. You likely get less than 30 minutes a day to relax or talk with another human being, and hopefully during that time they don't turn around and try to rob you of your already meager, garbage pay. Your future is bleak, and death is not far even if you follow the routine day in and day out.
Life is like a dull, mindless blur. You aren't allowed to be happy. That may lead to heresy, and the Arbites are cruel and merciless. You aren't allowed to aspire. That may see you dead at the will of a greedy foreman. You aren't allowed to not work. That would be refusing to assist in the Emperor's holy war.
One day, you get sick. You go to work anyways, because you have no choice. Everyone is getting sick. Your boss is sick. Your coworkers. Even the patrolling arbites are hacking up their lungs. People are dying. They are falling dead, riddled with pox and boils. You pray to the God Emperor that you will not meet a similar gruesome end, but you can't make out the words as you cough out puss and speckles of blood.
In your restless, spotted sleep, you are riddled with nightmares. A horrifying grotesque being confronts you, and while he is visibly shocking, it promises salvation, and gives you the warmest smile you have seen in your short miserable life. You wake up, and the words it spoke burn in your mind. You pray once again before your work shift, not to the Emperor, but to this new, bloated being. As you walk to work, you notice you feel a little livelier, a little happier, and the boils don't sting nearly as much.
For once in your life there is hope. You can finally live again, and maybe break from the shackles as the rest fall into decay. You don't look any better, but you feel greater than you ever have before. All that is expected of you now, is to spread the gift.
There are no bodies for them to return to. And putting thier minds into biological bodies is the worst idea in the 40k world as any flesh being without a soul(and no blanks have souls like all naturally born beings) die horrible death doubly so if they are clones.
That comparison was to tech-thralls, not Skitarii. Tech-thralls are basically backwards servitors where a human body is controlled by a machine.
Beautiful
Probably not too well
>There's a drop pod with sharp shit that goes ballistic when the boys it delivers get hurt
what.
acceptance of mortality and the joy of pain. to be aware of death and accept it makes you appreciate life more. even as a slaanesh fan i can see the perks of nurgle.
The majority of skitarii aren't lobotomized, they just have an override switch any magos can use
And another where one of the Thousand Sons outright states that the psyker-surgeons of Tizca would be able to remove them.
I love you coronachan!
Pariahs didn't go anywhere. The writers at GW simply realised that Blanks are so rare that making even small military units out of them would be useless in large-scale warfrare. And so do the Necrons. Pariahs still exist somewhere on the fringes.
Half of this sound like mainland china for some reason
Read actual Mechanicus novels, user. The Tech-Priests, despite the stereotype, really don't like messing with brains, since they view them as sources of divine inspiration/the soul. Tinkering with human brains directly is seen as excessive and fringe.
Okay I'll bite. What's up with that cats?
So I played four missions of Mechanicus and now I want mechanical parts irl. Wat do?
Felinids are one of the Abhuman races - strains of humanity which have been accepted into the Imperium of Man. There are no canon depictions of them but, as the name suggests, they must have some feline attributes. Thus - catgirls.
Lmao imagine living in a hive world and NOT being part of the middle and upper classes
Go to Mars.
>Space Marines aren't allowed to fug
But why though? Why get rid of someonez fun little meaty bits? Shouldn't your soldiers get rewarded at the end of a long campaign? They fucking drink barrels of "astrartes grade" beer but aren't allowed to lay down pipe every now and then?
At least your average guardsman can still get laid like for fucks sake
Sounds fucking rad.
>hive world
>middle class
What GW did with the Chaos Gods in 40K is unfortunate, to say the least. In times past they used to have a lot more nuance, with the Chaos Gods having straight-out positive aspects to them. Remember Colchis, Lorgar's home planet? In the good old days, pre Horus Heresy novels, his planet was one such place, where much benign and positive aspects of the Chaos Gods were worshipped.
Nurgle, for instance, was the god of the circle of life - life, death and rebirth. His servants could straight up heal wounds and diseases.
You might think this is crazy, but the the majority of a hive world's society is middle class.
they're horny. horny for bolters.
Because it is a mental and physical distraction for beings that only reproduce via harvesting the Gene Seed of their fallen to be implanted in the next batch?
Because the emps was a homo?
Who knows?
40k basically has cat girls in it. Felinids are abhumans who are the progeny of humans who spliced some of their dna with cats to survive during the Age of Strife
They don't have any Canon depictions but yeah naw cat girls.
Yes, middle classes, user. I don't know how many fluff sources need to describe this, but the higher you live in a hive world, the better job you have and the better the living conditions.
If there is one thing that the Eisenhorn/Ravenor and Ciphas Cain novels did right, is portraying that the average Imperial citizen's life is not much different from our own.
Think of it like this: the Imperium has around a million inhabited worlds, not counting moons, space stations, asteroid fields etc. Even if there's a war raging on 10,000 of them at the same time (which is an astronomical number), and another 20,000 are affected by said wars, that still leaves hundreds of thousands of planets that just go about their lives.
Toeing the line of heresy, but I'll allow it.
imagine you're a filthy NEET, you live in filth, you eat shit, you only drink MTN dew and are ballooning in weight. You're such a hopeless fuck up you can barely be bothered to wipe your ass. Your skin is covered in sores and blisters and you are generally a blot on civlisation.
When you're at your lowest ebb, Papa Nurgle comes to you. He thinks you're perfect as you are and he loves you, so you love him back. He's the only friend you'll ever know and you've gone from being a decrepit waste of space to a divine crusader in Nurgle's pestilent name in all your NEET foulness.
Waaiiiit a minute. Is this the girl from that Cain novel?
Just make them sterile then, I'd say that emps is a fag but I like to think that the sensei are still canon.
War and robots-skeletons are cool but what about sex and life outside of war in 40k? How fucked are you being isekaed into 40k?
All are welcome. Wholesome
i don't think i've played a game that's had such a bizarre effect on my psyche. i look at my flesh now and all i see as weakness.
i feel like this is what happens to sonic fans.
No, she had a scorpion tail mechadendrite. And white robes.
post Slaanesh
So when shit really hits the fan in 40k, and I mean as hard as shit can hit the fan, then we'll see some giant Orks that are also super advanced and more intelligent than your average retard?
the eldar fucked so hard that it caused the ruin of their entire civilisation and the birth of a new chaos god.
that's some hard fucking.
Maybe they could bring them back as HQ units or a faction-specific unit to keep their canon numbers low.
best god
Based on the accounts from the Crusades of there being moon sized orks, they need to have time to reach that stage. Just because they're in a good fight doesn't mean they'll instantly become supermen. The bigger thing to making an ork become stronger is having a bunch of fellow orks around who believe in him as the warleader of the WAAGHH, so you need a lot of not-dead orks around to get that buff.
disgusting
I know that a Age Of Sigmar game is in the making, hope it'll be good. That would be the first AoS game right?
>he mentioned it
madman
Orks genetically modified by remaining Men of Iron waging a revenge campaign. I could probably get licensed by GW and get some trash novel thrown out there with the premise alone. Who knows, it might be better than Goto's shite.
scream to be heard imperialcel
I can only imagine the horror intelligent Orks would bring to the galaxy.
That was actually pretty funny, gj writer guy
is mars vs terra the norf vs souf of the wh40k universe?
>Big'un88
always thought the adeptus mechanicus and orks would make good allies. they supply the orks with shiny toys for fightin' while the orks savage alien worlds, space hulks and whatever else leaving the AM free to go in with their metal detectors looking for shiny things.
Orks wouldn't get all pissy about who their gods were and send the inquisition on their ass either.
I want to purge some heretics, really give it to em, long and hard. Can Yea Forums recommend me a purging simulator?
play vertmintide 2 as victor salzpyre the witch hunter captain.
it's old world warhammer but does the job.
DOOM?
Yes,that's what the artist based her off of
What happens when the orks get bored and then use those nice shinies on the tech priests to get more shinies from the ummies?
They get official sanction, but they only get to act as Imperial Guard reserves, and not as full guardsmen.
why did GW get rid off the little guys?
Too stereotypical for them I think
We don't talk about the squats
