Is this greatest mmo expansion of all times?
Is this greatest mmo expansion of all times?
I have never felt more betrayed by a video game.
Traversing through the map for the first time without having all the skills was goddamn awful.
why?
I dunno, for me it felt like adventure.
>50 dollars for like two new maps that's shit
>no extra skill slots
>also we're giving the game away free to everyone who didn't buy it before :^)
fuck you
character slots rather
Tangled Depths is one of the most infuriating maps ever programed, especially since you have no 3D map.
gw2 as a whole what a piece of shit
The only positive was the exploration and that's assuming you enjoy checklist collectathons in the first place
It ruined PvP balance, WvW, instanced PvE and the story was boring except for my nigga Rytlock still being relevant
wasn't it 3 maps? Verdant Brink, Auric Basin and Dragon's Stand.
i see i forgot TD so 4..
And Tangled Depths
Not even the best in its own series. Factions or Nightfall are so far ahead its not a comparison.
For GW2 it was, literally saved the game.
Best maps I've seen in a MMO.
What about raids? Wasn't they most praised addition?
How to fix GW2:
Stop making every race the same. Identical hitboxes and physical damage and intelligence for all races? Fucking why?
>b-because muh balance... muh equality... no racism
FUCK OFF those things make races unique and fun
I want holes that only Asura can fit in to keep disgusting bookahs out
Get rid of the shitty female writers. The story just became boring if not cringe with all the dumb irrelevant characters the game would throw at you and expect you to love them like friends.
Add more underwear options to Asura. The swimsuit on female Asura is dumb. I know why they did it. We all know Asura is the pedobait race, and they have to be very careful about how they sexualise them. But just fucking do it. SEXUALISE THEM. IT'S FUN.
Also boss fights are boring. You just hold 1 and occasionally press another number until the boss is dead. It's hard to even feel your own effort being payed off in a sea of other players. They tried to make bosses more interesting by adding those weird AOE minigames inside each boss fight. But that can be frustrating.
Raids are fun if you have a group of friends. Otherwise they are mostly filled with elitists who insist you have minmaxed and are using the correct class before they let you play with them.
Tangles depth was the worst.
HoT world bosses were fine imo if a bit easy.
Open world events are more about mass strategy rather than individual skill like in raids, I remember when HoT came out and it was impossible to have each side of tarir kill their octovine at the same time, and the TD meta literally required an organized map with leaders on voip for each side because people were so bad.
I like to think they could step up the challenge with world bosses but then I see people auto attacking and slacking and I don't know really.
VB meta event was my favorite, there was this whole map wide effort to capture the camps, upgrade and defend them until the choppers come to lift you up above into the canopy to fight the bosses and each felt different.
>lets keep doing the formula of one zone over and over
No thanks. Im sick and tired of it and HoT completely cashed in on that. We had 2 zones that were like this in the vanilla game. 2. Now everyone zone is a copy of itself. Collect arbitrary item X, which transforms into currency Y, which allows you to buy item Z, make currency Y worthless outside of zone W.
What an absolute failure of a game.
IT seems the way ever mmo is going these days, I hate this shit. And there's almost always something tied to daily replayable content.
Remember when MMOs had no token system and interesting items dropped off enemies or were crafted? Arguably, GW2 has a heavy emphasis on crafting for endgame gear but the other half is the same "do daily chores, get tokens to buy your jewelry" crap.
