ITT: We design the worst controller

ITT: We design the worst controller
One thing at a time
Ill start
Dpad of the switch

Dreamcast analogue stick.

>not the gamecube d-pad

And that is the entire controller

A second dpad, in the location of the n64 stick

PS3 analog triggers

PS4 touchpad

>picks the best part of the controller
>calls it shit just to get upvotes
should have just posted a frog or a wojak so everyone knows ahead of time your post is complete garbage

>tfw I actually like the d-pad on the joycons
>tfw I even got every single platinum relic in the entire Crash Trilogy using it, including Stormy Ascent

I just think it's neat.

Asymmetrical sticks.

more like PS4 battery life

Whats wrong with the gamecub dpad?
Imo the xbox one dpad is worse

3 AAA batteries required.

Keyboard smack in the center

Well original xbox one dpad, haven't used the upgraded controller yet

In dvorak

The colecovision controller dial for the right joystick

my friend cant even play any game with any of the joycon. cause hes fat and has fat fingers.
even for me, who is 120lbs, a single switch joycon is uncomfortable as shit

>not the d-pad of the 360 instead
the analogs of the switch.

I actually like the switch d-pad.

I guess the switch dpad is good for the switch, but on a regular controller it would suck

switch 'dpad' is mostly passable since the separate buttons are small enough that you can use it like a regular dpad anyway, but it really suffers for like fighting game inputs.

You mean the 360 D-pad

Thank you, it was literally impossible playing fighting games with fast inputs using that shitty d-pad

PS4 share button

You're retarded, this is the best controller to ever exist.

using the german keyboard settings.

Instead of a controller, it's a rabid wolverine.

Explain to a brainlet what is wrong with having each direction of the d-pad be a seperate button.

I remember when I emulated Colecovision game for the first time. Holy shit those controls shemes, things were definitely harder for developers back then.

>not the xbox 360 d-pad

>not the analogs of the psp/vita

These are sufficiently terrible

The Switch's d-pad is amazing. It's better than traditional d-pads.

3 different grips like the N64

>Wii U gamepad screen
>on a 3 pronged-N64 controller
>Switch "d-pad"
>PS3 bumper/triggers

It's alright but way too small for longer uses like fighting games

Ds4 but with a touch ball instead of a touch pad

It's not ideal, but what kills it is how narrow the switch controller is paired with the placement of it. It's not the worst though, the xbox 360 "disc" thingy is far worse than 4 seperate buttons.

What's that?

it's so you can use it as a half joycon. Other than that the dpad barely has any uses outside of menus

This man gets it.

And the Switch share button.
One is for images, other for videos.

PSP Analog "stick" is a must-have, and it has to be the same size and same travel distance

Attached: t89ya035idd41.jpg (502x574, 67K)

You posted the worst designed controller already

Is designed in a way that you can only control it with your feet

what's a ctafish?

Instead of a left analog stick there's a set of WASD keys on the back of the controller approximately where your fingers rest.

Have a label be used for every game so that gamers have to look down and see what each button does.

i cant think of any way to incorporate the dj hero turntable but i want to post it anyway

Doug button.

I hate these things so much, my characters and menus jump all over the place because of these shitty controllers I wish there a way to fix them myself

>new 3ds nubs for analog sticks
>switch pro d-pad
>ds4 battery life
>n64 shape
>atari and co numberpad
>joy-con durability
>takes aa batteries like xbox
>ds4 lightbar
am i missing anything else?

PS4 light

The PS4 share button
Nothing can undo 20 years of built up muscle memory knowing there's a select button on literally every controller in the industry including one that still exists on all other controllers.

Stop giving them ideas.

>here's your controller bro

Attached: Untitled-1.jpg (1600x1600, 148K)

>going full retard with controller gimmicks again
>hints at proprietary storage (vita memcards rounda 2)

PS5 is gonna be a wreck and I'm excited

The Intellivision disc in place of the left or right joystick

>New 3DS Nub

GOD fucking thanks for reminding me about that shit. The ONLY time it felt natural was when playing Monster Hunter, every other time it felt like controlling a nipple mouse on a laptop except for pinpoint accuracy. What a waste of an analog stick who the fuck thought it was FINE?

Attached: download.jpg (259x194, 8K)

Non-removable back button attachment

Attached: maxresdefault (3).jpg (1280x720, 91K)

Lithium battery that has VERY frequent tendencies to burst into flame/explode

GameCube D-Pad
New3DS C-Stick as the analogs
Switch LR buttons
No triggers at all, or shit, digital triggers
Share, Options and - Mystery - buttons, instead of plain old Start and Select
Uses AAA batteries
Proprietary charging port
Not compatible with PC
Proprietary wireless connection, no Bluetooth
Only available on black
HD Rumble, a TouchPad and a speaker that no developer is going to use but it's there to make the controller more expensive
Both analogs are above the D-Pad and buttons (like the Wii U Pro controller)
No grips (like the Wii classic controller)

Can we get an artfag in here and draw this abomination?

The fact that the "dpad" is still more responsive the one in the pro controller still boggles my mind, I have 3 different versions bought in 17, 18 and 19 and on all 3 up and down inputs might still go left and right for some reason.

That's probably what the SS dude asked before he got chomped

>Uses AAA batteries
>Proprietary charging port
Wat

>actually seperating the buttons to press them instead of rubbing a fucking plate over it is bad
Sony dpad is the worst.

It’s because the pro controller d-pad has no spike in the middle. It was done purposely so that games that make you press different directions at once on the joy-cons can still be played with the pro controller.

make sure the batteries explode or burst into flame 50 percent of the time. even when the console is offline

it uses AA batteries but you can buy a pair of official rechargeable batteries for $20 that charge with a proprietary charger! (like the 360 controller)

>controller doesn’t connect straight to your console, instead it connects to your router which then sends the signal to your console

you pretty much finished with your pic, OP
the switch single joycon is a nightmare
