Persona 4 is best Persona

Persona 4 is best Persona
You cannot dispute this fact

No it's the worst

In what way?

I think Persona 3 is better, but Persona 4 is definitely my favorite.

The main plot goes nowhere after Rise. Mitsuo and Naoto's dungeon are literally filler arcs, the only good thing about heaven is the music and the rest is just retarded.
The main cast is also really bland, they never do anything interesting without the MC being around them.

Combat is too easy

it has rise, so I agree

Mite b the best persona game, too bad every single one of them is garbage.

Trash and outdated gameplay. Story and character development are jap shit, non believable and pseudo-deep.

Convince me why I should play any of these games, tried out 3 and uninstalled after an hour. What am I missing?

Stop posting with my waifu when shitposting

It's not like there's another possible choice. P3 is decent, but story is much worse and gameplay has only been fixed in Portable, and mostly because they've used P4's system with slight adjustments. 1 and IS are bad, EP and 5 are trash.

>Mitsuo and Naoto
>filler
>Everything up to and including Rise
>not filler
Literally what
Kanji and Rise's dungeons do not progress the main plot at all

just breed the teen idol's bowels, dude

>P5 spinoffs and the rerelease have been flopping left and right
>only by being more like P4 do they finally get a well selling spinoff
yeah I’m thinking P4chads won

>implying the series didn't go downhill after EP

5 proved 4 was an accident. They keep writing more and more shallow characters and terrible twist stories that it's surprising when you play 4 and realise the characters were actually deeper than a puddle once.

4>2 dualogy>3>5=1

Correct

1 and 2 had good characters too though. Really, 3 was the problem

>Rise's dungeons do not progress the main plot
Rise's dungeon reveals that Teddie, a Shadow, has his own Shadow, showing that he's grown an ego and thus can exist outside the TV world, and gives a strong hint at the final boss with Shadow Teddie being possessed by Ameno-Sagiri then.

I put 40hours in P4G and it was pretty good. I recently put 5hours in P2 and I can tell it's probably better overall.

level design.

Only P1 has good level design

Persona 5 is the worst persona game. Its not a bad game, but its not persona. Story is absolutely fucking boring. The reason 4 was good was that the main villain was memorable. You actually gave a shit about him. There were very few times where I gave a shit about anything in persona 5. The social links were lame, the characters have no soul. Persona 4 and 3 really felt like buddies. Persona 5 also lacks serious and comedic moments. It stays safe a majority of the time. Oh bad guy did this, thats messed up, lets stop him! Why do the Persona 5 crew even have a reason to fight? Why do they care about changing their hearts? The Persona 3 and 4 crew faced a world ending threat. Persona 4 characters wanted to stop the murders because their friends could be next. Persona 5 is very flashy but lacks substance.

Also for those that don't remember. The world ending threat in P4 was the fog that would turn everyone into shadows.

>Its not a bad game, but its not persona
It's literally the same shit as 3 and 4

P4 is the most balanced out of the modern games so it feels a little better on a replay. P3's meat is all shoved in the back end and P5 falls like a rock after Futaba or arguably Yusuke.

>5 steps
>LIVE WITH BALL AND MANLY
>Intentional backtracking and Eridanus tier gimmicks in later dungeons

>Good level design

Don't care, persona 1 and 2 are just smt devil summoner saga lite.

>>Intentional backtracking and Eridanus tier gimmicks in later dungeons
>>Good level design
Yes.

You gain nothing from being a contrarian, user.

5 was better.
I just wish we could have just stayed as sneaky thieves who brainwashed assholes instead of saving the galaxy.

>arguably Yusuke
>arguably
By the end of Yusuke's arc we get "I also killed your mother MWAHAHAHAHA". I'd say this is where the game turns to shit.

>P4
>depth
lmao

And plenty to gain from having good taste. The encounter rate is shit, but that's not the level design. You guys pretend to hate simple dungeons, but when you're given anything more complex you run and hide

Because it stops being fun, it's not level design; it's just the devs going too ham with an idea and saying "eh, it's the hardcore crowd; they'll put up with it." It's the reason nobody likes Eridanus and Grus in Strange Journey or a lot of the maps near the back of Etrian games. There's also the fact that you get stacked so fast that random encounters don't become something to look forward to when all you have to do is click Almighty or Gun and win.

For me, it started going downhill at pic related. Such a slog, horrible palace, also doesn't help borekoto just joined in and ruined the group (she isn't too bad but the group consisted of a bunch of retards having fun. She takes away a big part of the fun)

Persona 4 is one of the comfiest games ever made. I love the small town atmosphere

It IS fun, your idea is pure conjecture and has no basis in reality. Meanwhile it's obvious that for P5 the devs heard the complaints about 3/4 dungeons being too simple and did the bare minimum to improve them. "eh, they only play for the social sim, don't waste your effort"
>It's the reason nobody likes Eridanus
Citation needed. It's infamous for being difficult, so that makes you anticipate it and conquering it feels like that much more of an accomplishment. That's the whole point of a dungeon
>and Grus
Maybe because it's copy+pasted assets and mechanics from earlier areas and that makes it boring. This is actually a good example of a bad dungeon: Everyone talks about how terrifying Eridanus is, but nobody talks about Grus at all
>There's also the fact that you get stacked so fast that random encounters
Again, nothing to do with the level design

5 > 3 > 4 = 1 >> 2
And if you don't like it...
FUCK YOU!

Remind me which one was Eridanus? The garden or the glowy Nocturne dungeon looking one?

I think Grus was the one with all the recycled areas.
