any casual game ruining actual fun playstyles for the minuscule competitive playerbase
Basically
This.
ESPECIALLY when the game has a SP and MP component and for some ungodly reason the devs patch the game to balance it around MP balance, ruining fun and interesting shit in the SP in the process.
SP and MP components should always be 100% separated because of this shit.
Path of Exile every time
Dark Souls 2
Every patch just made the game less fun for the most part

Escape from Tarkov because Nikita's an autistic piece of shit who deliberately made the game terrible for e-fame and to get streamers sucking his dick.
>Primarily single player game with tacked on PvP nobody plays
>Nerfs to weapons and skills on all gamemodes
>it makes the campaign mathematically impossible to complete
I don't play games that need patches, I'm not a retarded zoomer.

Dofus every single update since 1,29
All games need patches.
POE's latest patch notes have got people up in arms
Things are never going back to the way they were, user.
Binding of Isaac Rebirth for "balancing" certain rare item combos and nerfing the ability to create crazy builds. They were too fucking rare or difficult to pull off in the first place and really only abused by streamers. Fucking Edmund hack
For honor
Slowest updates fucking ever and 90% of the time they suck balls
I swear terraria is the worst about that. I have literally never even seen or heard of terraria pvp outside of patch notes about nerfing shit that was broken in pvp.
yes I'm still fucking salty about the teleport wand
Every main I pick in a fighting game. Doesn't matter when I start but when I star developing the muscle memory the hammer comes down harder on my main than the rest of the cast and when the new year buffs come around my main still gets nerfed omfg why do I even continue anymore lmao
Tf2
What game?
Let it die. I started playing a few weeks ago and apparently they nerfed the spawn rates of the good mushrooms that everyone abused when the game was relatively new. seems like the game was significantly easier back then.
Anything game I used to care about. The minute they started listening to babies is when I learned not to care.

Shaman in Vanilla WoW.

Spy is my least played and most hated class and I still got pissed off at the Ambassador nerf. It wouldn't faze me if they removed Spy from the game altogether, but that trainwreck of a patch was just offensive to read.
Operation Ligma
>when the patch completely overhauls the game, turning it from super fun to complete shit.
Gauntled "slayer" update. Was s super fun game I used to play with a couple friends, then that retarded update came long trying to turn it into some pseudo MLG competitive shit and completely ruined the game - with no option to roll back or play online without the latest update. We all dropped the game that day. Wish we could have fucking refunded it since it literally turned into a different game at that point.

The devs are just milking at this point. There will never be any more meaningful content ever added again.
holy fuck how to tell if something is modern or not im so glad black back grounds have become the norm
World of Warcraft Legion pre-patch; Survival hunter is now a meele spec

STOP IT
JUST
STOP
what
Every gane where they cater to the casual masses instead of the top 1%, by buffing things that are broken strong in the right hands to the point where they become must picks, and nerfing things that can be avoided because the masses don't like dealing with it even tho it requires skill to use properly, or because they have to use their brain to deal with it, rather than blindly run at it.
Among the typical unit balance changes, one of the later patches reduced income by 42% which utterly fucks with various mission timings that were designed with the old income in mind.
>Hi guys Stylosa here!
>Game didn't balance for everything to be both overpowered and fun to fight against
>Instead they just nerf everything into the ground untill the gameplay feels boring and unenjoyable on both sides

We just had our first diversity update in the main game
TF2 balance is like rolling the dice with each update.
>Sandman-Cleaver combo takes skill and hours of practice to be consistent with
>good Scouts running any pistol will kick your ass 9/10 times
>nerfed because the community hated having to dodge the glowing enemy team colored ball or the paper thin cleaver.
or what about:
>Loch n'Load isnt allowed to 1-shot 125 HP classes because ???
>meanwhile Soldier is allowed to keep 1-shotting 125 HP classes with the Direct Shit because ???
who could forget:
>BfB nerfed so that any damage slows you down significantly, making it a direct downgrade when compared to every other primary
>Shortstop was given a shove mechanic for no reason, didnt even have an animation for months after the change
>Soda Popper has gone through several different versions Im convinced valve never knew what they wanted the weapon to be used for.
>Crit-a-Cola will either be broken or useless, never in between.
MW2 truly was kino
pretty much everything was stupid OP
nu-FFXI
Its ironic. Cause I used to complain about how you needed to party up in almost anything to get something done in that game unless you were a BST back in the day. But ever since trying the trust system, I miss it. Yea, the game was stupid hard back then but the sense of accomplishment and community was STRONG. And I haven't been able to fill that void ever since.
>Loch and load was far easier to hit direct shots with, so it should deal less damage balance wise, but then again, so should the direct hit, the harder it is to hit the target the more damage it should probably deal and vice versa.
>True the cleaver combo was likely removed because of casuals not because of pro players.
>BfB needed SOMETHING so it was still used, but so do many sidegrades that almost never see use like the back scatter.
>Shortstop getting an extra thing to mess around with that doesn't do damage seems fine, odd choice, but not the end of the world, nothing really to complain about.
>Soda popper was abit broken.
>Crit-a-Cola was fine when both you and the your target took minicrits, means you win if you have the element of surprise and you'll likely lose if you don't.
>Deadringer nerf might be another community pleasing nerf, granted I never really liked it, felt far less sneaky and far more low effort.
>Ambassador on the other hand is most certainly a community nerf built around "ree people can hit headshots, I don't like this I wanna kill good spies!" so they crippled the thing to the point where hitting a randomly moving pixel across the map deals 18 damage instead of 102
I've never played WoW but it has always seemed to me that there were way too many fucking abilities, isn't four bars full of icons actually insane?
Pretty much every patch for Warframe.

Whatever version of the Natural Selection mod that destroyed the Fade's teleport ability. Probably 2.0?
Sure, you could get stuck, but you got less stuck less often than the "speedy zoom" that replaced it.
rebirth is shit for inviting shitters. flash is an actual game not a wanksim
it's always hard game > easy through updates > realizing it got easy > trying to salvage it (poorly) > new playerbase whines
ZSS isn’t op. One player did super well in a tournament with her ONCE, and she got hit with a huge nerf for no reason. I don’t even play her, but she didn’t deserve it.
Most major Trove updates. Half "who cares about this shit", half "what the fuck do they think they're doing".
Patches in general can fuck off.
I unironically prefer unbalanced fighting games that will always stay the same to constant patches and changes to shit. Plenty of unbalanced fighters still have a decent community (melee, mvc2, sf3) while properly balanced games that got tons of patches usually die off. There's enough 'homework' in games already without them changing shit.
I never got into overwatch or LoL or whatever but I don't even want to imagine how much of a pain it must have been to keep track of all that.
After a lot of patches Dota 2 is good again
bassically
Killing FLoor 2
retarded fuckers these devs
All of them, it's just another form of autism and it lets me know if it's an update I really need
Vermintide 2. Devs keep being completely oblivious to what makes their game fun and try anally balance a PvE title for some reason. Such a shame.
Based and funpilled
>he doesn't enjoy shitposting after moot left and the jannies were crippled
Weak
>game is almost exclusively played for the singleplayer part
>devs balance it according to some imaginary e-sports scene
Fucking Stellaris, give me back my wormholes
Who the hell is Steve Jobs?
Warframe.
Just... fucking Warframe. hundreds of bad decisions padded out by the occasional genuinely ambitious idea. I want to live in the alternate reality where DE comes up with an idea, and it's exactly as it was advertised, bug free, and completely devoid of levels of grind I would give to someone as a punishment in Guantanamo bay instead of something I'd make in the pursuit of compelling gameplay.
Nah, most of the abilities were pretty situational or had a highish cooldown with their usage ranging from maybe every 2 minutes to once in a blue moon.
in classic most classes used only a handful of spells in actual PvE-combat, for PvP you do need a shit ton of keybinds though.

League of Legends
I haven't played since 2017 but I still like reading the patchnotes, I think I liked reading them more than actually playing the game
>quit league 2 years ago

Doturd 2
I'm so glad i dropped that shit
Shadow Warrior 2. They turned a fun action title into Borderlands with extra grinding because some faggots couldn't handle that people liked the game as it was. Damn near false advertising as I would have never bought the game if I knew they were going to completely change how it functions.
>we're shocked that the overpowered, overloaded champion we just released has such a high WR.
>we removed -1 base AD to make it so they stop over excelling in all games
Why is she making that face? Is someone eating her pussy?
They just nerfed her main into the ground
hey, stay safe comrade
>she
>isn't four bars full of icons actually insane?
In retail wow you have 2 bars of abilities (the other two are toys/mounts/erp macros) but over a 4 minute fight youre going to use 6 abilities on most classes. In classic you have 4 full bars of distinct abilities and for 7/8 classes you use 2 of them the entire fight.
