The demo is you and Barrett doing the reactor job. It lets you swap between the two when your see fit. For instance it's better to switch to Barrett for flying enemies or when the boss runs off to high ground. There's actually skill based dodge block and parry mechanics so it's not just hold O to dodge forever. I think given good design in other levels they could make some boss encounters that are actually fun and challenging. They could also totally fuck it up. Who knows.

Not sure how you mean. When you switch between party members they kind of do their own thing. You can however give them ability commands without needing to switch back. Using abilities slows down time while you select for abilities, items or limit breaks. There were also movement mechanics so I doubt an auto play would be worth it.

Demo player here. Don’t get the point of people always posting this. That’s Classic Mode, which puts difficulty to Easy. You can’t go braindead on the Scorp on normal, especially during times when you get targeted. It can stun lock you with endless bullets and missiles. (Unless you use Barrett’s Steelskin, but that’s counters your point of doing nothing)

What that mode also does is makes the stagger gauge fill ridiculously fast, and mobs are super soft. I tried it once and it was ridiculously boring. I can’t imagine anybody willing to do it. Maybe Dean Takahashi.
