The company that has dominated and held back the PC platform for decades makes a console so they can profit off of PC gaming in ways that are impossible on an open platform.
Really today 'consoles' are simply stripped down PC hardware running 10 foot interfaces and there is no reason why a PC couldn't have a controller driven 10 foot interface and seamless user experience other than the fact that there is a conflict of interest preventing it from happening.

Why more people don't see the huge problem that allowing a console maker to own the most used PC gaming platform.

Affordable and simple to use with consistent hardware making for easy targets for developers versus trying to make games for PC which have a wild swing between hardcore ultra rigs and toasters. Why do you think most devs target consoles and then do ports to PC? I don't get the "convenience" argument, atleast in my case I spend my entire day in front of a computer so launching a game on my PC is much easier and more straightforward than switching monitor input and turning on a console.

Better performance and graphics doesn't matter when both of those are perfectly fine on consoles. The choice of controller also doesn't particularly matter since consoles have a perfectly fine controller that comes with them. Not to mention that controller that's meant for the console gives the most authentic experience for whatever game you're playing. Mods are ok, but it's not like you can't get CFW on console if you really want that shitty texture pack. Hell, I have CTGP for Mario Kart Wii on my console and I don't even have CFW. I don't think I've seen any mods that exceed the quality of the base game anyway unless it's the project where people attempt to make Sonic '06 good. Piracy isn't exclusive to PCs eithet because again, CFW is a thing and you can get homebrew applications through that to install games from the internet. In some cases you can get the entire library centralized in one app for free in the case of the 3DS and Freeshop when it was up. Assuming you have the right know how (i.e. you aren't a retard) you should be able to get CFW on most consoles and get free games along with it. So yes, the only real difference PC has from consoles is playing at a desk. I'll say it again. Curb your superiority complex.

What Sony stipulates is that if you don't and play a game from a disk, let's say in its version 1.0 without any kind of patch; that you can still *technically* play it. And if Bloodborne is a technical nightmare all these years later, imagine it without any kind of patch.

I didn't ignore anything in my post, I addressed everything in the post I replied to. It doesn't really matter the amount of people who play with mods on console. The person's point was that mods were a PC thing and I've proven they aren't, and again, mods aren't all that great to begin with. A lot of retro games relied on CRT TVs lower resolutions as a workaround of the limitations of the era but with higher resolutions on these games the illusion is completely broken and sprites don't look as good as if they were on original hardware in some cases. Better performance can do similar things. Banjo Tooie's opening cutscene music relies on the N64 lowering the framerste to make the music fit but with the game running unhitched on a PC the music doesn't fit. While in a lot of cases the visuals and framerates are improved (which are completely unrelated to how good a game is unless it's unbearably slow or ugly) there are issues that can atise like the ones listed above that simpky don't happen on console. I think you're projecting because the only one coping here is you.

You mean 30. 30 FPS isn't bad at all. Any FPS higher than 30 only serves to make the game look better. Playing at 30 FPS doesn't have any disadvantages, it's just not as smooth as 60 which ultimately doesn't matter since both are fine. In some cases playing older games at 60fps causes issues like animations playing faster than intended making some animations jarring. An issue that doesn't happen on console unless the devs just genuinely made a shit animation. You're a complete zoomer if you think anything below 60fps is unplayable. The only arguments I've seen in favor of PC today are "muh grafix." PCfags are just Grafixfags lol.

What's the point of PC? Consoles (well, PS) outperform, are cheaper, have more games, and are simpler to use than PC. The only reason you'd use a PC is for the indie games and older games that aren't being released nowadays.
