I honestly liked it but going back after the honeymoon phase is rough. There’s a lot of rough patches to the game both story and gameplay-wise and the pacing doesn’t really help either.

I feel like the only rough patches are the ending and the okumura arc. Futabas and Makotos introductions were a bit annoying at first since they were basically holding the group hostage but besides that what problems did you run into.

They should've gotten rid of go to bed early nights, allow you to order missed health drinks in the mall, and be able to use Haru's garden earlier on.

Blows its load literally on the first boss and then never really recovers. While I appreciated the non-random dungeons, they definitely need more experience working with them because most of the dungeons felt bland (especially the Pyramid and the Cruise Ship). I dig the overall aesthetic and soundtrack, and the gameplay is the best in the franchise, but the characters needed some work to more consistently fit within the story, and the story needed some work so there wasn't so damn much railroading.

I liked 4 more than 5 overall

It was eh not the worst persona game and not the best my biggest complaint is some of the main bosses there wasn't a sense of urgency for example Madarame art theft an unpaid labor and you put that after Kamoshida someone who raped and abused teenagers

The problem with the story is that once you get Futaba, all tension fucking dies. Girl is literally a walking deux ex machina. She basically hands the group a happy ending the second she gets recruited.

id rather that then be revered as some god unjustly.
fun gameplay, alot of endearing characters although your bound to hate at least one of the party members, its addcitive as hell, its hard to summarize.

Spoil it user, can't be fucked to put 80 more hours in this game

It's the same as P5 except Joker leaves on train because they need to shill the new characters and Akechi might be alive if you finish his confidant and pick the right dialogue options

It's why I'm not bothering with Royal at all. That, and the censorship. And the 60 dollar price tag. And terrible new additions that don't do anything to the main game. And dumb new character. And the fact that the DLC doesn't come with it.

I heard 1 and 2 were horrible, should I start with persona 3? any recommendations or special play order?

3 was hyped up way too much by pretentious blowhards. The game will be a fucking chore if you've already played P4 or P5. The story is nonexistent for 80% of the game, the one dungeon is a monumentally repetitive grind, and the atmosphere of the game is so maudlin and depressing, that I can't help but liken it to a stroll on the side of a highway, pulling a bicycle in tow, in the middle of a thunderstorm. The game is just so fucking dark, dank, and depressing. And the message is literally just

>dude, death is inevitable, so DEEEEEEP

I really enjoyed the story but the combat was tedious as hell. If I knew what it was going to be like going in I would've just played on easy mode.

The combat was honestly the best part. The story dragged during the late game.

replayed it earlier this month and my opinion on the game has warmed up, goro is still a shitshow of a character but I liked how you can tell the isolation from the public gets to him during the medjed ark
My favorite palace in terms of themeing and design is probably futaba, blended alot of shit together pretty well.
Okumera and shidos palaces are still shit tho and morgona is still the most annoying character I ever had the displeasure of meeting. just got into SMT 4 due to it and loving it now.
The ending itself was fine unless you waited for the last minute to do mementos

The weakest parts were the characters. Goro, Haru, and Sae were all wasted potential. Morgana, Makoto, and Futaba were extremely annoying and overused.

Agreed. Futaba and Morgan especially

his dungeon is so easy to speed run compared to the others, don't know why people complain that much. Also, the best boss theme song in the entire game

the Mouse shit is just ass, everything else is fine, but the mouse puzzle really drags
