I tried it and it was terribly balanced, pretty much every projectile class was at a disadvantage, a game where you spend so much time in zero G open space should not have so much long range rapid fire hitscan.

Battleborn released on the same day as the heavily-publicized (and free) Overwatch open-beta. It could have had the coolest designs in history yet wouldn't have done dick. Lawbreakers was a game in a genre that's lost almost all of its commercial viability over the past 15 years, published by a company notorious for not caring about its products, developed by a guy considered a "wash-up", and marketed as if it were 1998. Designs were the least of either game's issues

I played it for 36 hours over a couple of days before dropping it for good. The matchmaking wasn't good, nor was class balance. They also didn't release bugfixes and QoL updates in time so it died pretty fast.

When I first heard about it, it was in articles about what a pathetic flop it was. I was honestly willing to try it out, but I checked playercount and it was in the double digits already, so I didn't want to waste money.
