What went wrong?
What went wrong?
Nothing, everything is perfectly fine and working as intended. Stadia is the future. If you don't like it then you're a white supremacist that hates the proud POC that brought this service to market.
Project is run by a retard.
Everything.
It was a flawed idea from the start. Cloud gaming is a dumb meme that needs to die already, the inherent latency with offloading rendering to a server that's hundreds of miles away makes it impossible to use for most types of gaming. Until we have edge computing nodes on every street corner it'll never be feasible.
>What went wrong?
buy games full price
small selection
only in countries where people already buy consoles
Also this
Streaming games would be great but it has to be like Youtube or at least Netflix. But it wouldn't be profitable.
>built around a centralized set of server farms rather than localized, smaller server farms at locations such as apartment complexes, hotels, etc.
>shit tier marketing
>fucked it all up from the very beginning, leaving a bad taste in everyone's mouth
>devs might have actually been retarded
The tech might have had a niche where it could have flourished profitably, but the business model was complete ass and relied on the idea that the console and servers would somehow receive and process packets instantly. Even if the marketing was better it still would have flopped.
Cloud gaming isn't just a meme.
I play EU4 on GeForce Now, and I can barely tell the difference between playing it on my home desktop.
He's, what, 0 for 3 at this point?
Literally everything. I don't understand why Google was so pushy with it when the tech isn't there yet and their business model was complete ass. Nearly everyone could tell what a fucking trainwreck it was going to be and what a shock, it was.
They bought into the cloud meme after it failed for Ouya.
Also they overestimated the US's connection speed. Google fiber has good speed for good price but everyone else doesn't.
Retards repeating history endlessly.
>Ouya
don't you mean onlive? ouya was some shitty android console
All they really had to do was make their game library free with a subscription and it would have done fine.
Imagine sitting at your fucking rectangle desk surrounded by a bunch of yes man as they all nod and agree with the retard who suggested that you should pay full retail price for video games on top of a monthly subscription fee to access those games
>implying they aren't waiting for next console game
If the choice is buying your annoying kid a new $500 Playstation or Xbox or just streaming the same games for $10 a month - first 12 months free if you buy a new TV - then Joe Normie is going to buy the new TV.
nothing, playing it right now. its great. google is the future of video games
never trust a bald person.
Does it matter if nothing went wrong? You're basically paying for the """"privilege"""" to pay your ISP obscene overages.
