Some google pic/10

Now fuck off kid

as someone who's in the process of building a new PC is it a bad idea to use the same old ass vanilla office case? i'm using a lonovo case and i place on replacing just about everything from the inside out.

Attached: f5a87b91-0a06-4350-a76c-b279055e56d3.jpg (640x480, 27K)

itx is such an underrated formfactor
but we can go smaller

Attached: 20191122_184814.jpg (720x540, 65K)

ITX is comfy

you didn't put that together you lying piece of shit.

>being this fucking new

Why would it be a bad idea? If the mobo fits, it's good.

I want to build something like this so bad for LAN parties. A laptop was a convenient treat, but being unable to play anything after only 2-ish years is frustrating. And fuck bringing my main PC out all the time.

deal with it

Attached: So then im all like yeah, i could fit another one in there.jpg (1504x1000, 510K)

Cable management is too easy these days, you have to be actively trying to make it look like shit

nigger/10

Node 202 case is alright

Attached: 20200220_214801.jpg (321x240, 74K)

DESU unless you're running a full-tower the biggest annoyance of trucking around a normal PC is that you have to bring all the tertiary shit with it, power cables, m+kb, monitor etc. There's only so small your form factor can go before you start fucking yourself with thermals anyway. I feel you on laptop specs though, you have to spend a pretty penny to get relevant performance that isn't generations behind desktop equivalents.

Wow I sure fucked up that upload

Attached: 20200220_214801.jpg (1734x1300, 1.55M)

It's not a bad idea, but more modern cases are usually have better cooling design than older ones, especially ones designed for office PCs

>ywn bukkake your processor
Why even live?

Attached: me right now.webm (1280x720, 1.05M)

>DESU unless you're running a full-tower the biggest annoyance of trucking around a normal PC is that you have to bring all the tertiary shit with it, power cables, m+kb, monitor etc

this. I would say the monitor alone is like 50% the annoyance since you have to be kind of delicate with it compared to the other stuff.

It really doesn't look that bad, RAM being in the wrong slot is an issue and it looks like they only have 3 screws securing their heat sink but both are easily fixable, cable management is unsightly and ugly but when it comes to actual cooling performance really doesn't matter much what matters more is all the fans facing in the correct orientation which it appears they are and even with only 3 screws the AIO he's got there is probably making good contact with his CPU.

People like to exaggerate a lot when it comes to building a PC and it scares people off, but even a build as sloppy as this will run. PC components are actually pretty hardy and it's unlikely unless you do something completely egregious like spilling your 44oz Slurpee all over it or "carefully cutting the card" so it'll fit in your slot, you're unlikely to cause any permanent damage.

didn't that nigger get fired over this video?

He was hired as their "Technology expert" but no, the verge is too woke to fire him so he still works there as an editor.

best pic i have currently

Attached: pc.jpg (635x1280, 190K)

He also smothered the PSU and jizzed over his processor. If he did this on his own that's his prerogative, but this was labeled as a tutorial. We don't need retards misinforming people and "scaring them off" when their build catches fire.

>meshify c
man of taste

get 2 more front fans, lad

The hardest part was actually finding the case, some of the extremely small form factor cases are specially made by shoestring teams of enthusiasts and often have limited supply.
Well, that and I tried to fit an AiO in it only to find my GPU was like 3mm too long. Every millimeter matters when your case is smaller than a shoebox.

Been looking for a Ghost S1 because it can easily expand to hold a 120mm AiO, cooling is adequate on the 3700x I have in it but it'd be nice to shave 10-20c off it for an overclock.

I didn't realize this was part of a tutorial video just thought it was a meme bad build people post so everyone can dogpile on it.

Really it's the plugging/unplugging that bothers me. I've got multiple screens/hdds/peripherals plugged into my desktop, that have to be removed and then setup the following morning. At least a small side PC and spare screen can just sit in the closet til the next time.

Honestly, there isn't THAT much offensive about the first half
I think besides mixing thermal pastes the big thing that annoyed me was how he never explained that the CPU mount needs to go on before you mount the mainboard, which is a pretty common thing for newbies to forget that I'd hope a tutorial would go over

It's not rocket science lads

your cpu cooler got its fan on the wrong side lad

You could probably shave off half a degree by not trying to force a gtx card into rtx mode

Some of us have jobs

Unless its a bad case with minimal / no vents, you want it fully assembled because it was designed around the airflow you'd get with the panels attached.

drill some holes at the bottom and let your gpu breathe. what the hell

Where's your ssd?

whats with this OBSESSION with adding extra fans people generally don't need?

Gamersnexus did a great video on this. Fun fact, even those old NZXT cases with like a cm fan space still do better cooling than open case.

So, what happened here?

I don't have a camera; the one on my phone got smashed, but I can give a speclist:

Asus Prime X570-P
Ryzen 5 3600X
Corsair Vengeance LPX 4x8GB (3200)
GTX 1660 Ti
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black
Corsair Carbide 275R

I think it's okay, since I only do 1080p

great post, Vergeposter, now scram

>I think it's okay, since I only do 1080p
Should be more than ok for 1080p. You should easily be maxing out most games at 60fps.

Yeah, I turned DOOM 2016 pretty far up there and it's smooth, everything else is basically in the same boat (my monitor only pushed 72hz) so I've got no complaints

what's the most i should spend on a used gtx 1060 3gb/rx 580 4gb and what is the best brand for each

I am so torn between buying a 1440p lg monitor + 2070 super now or just buy a aoc 24g2 monitor + Rx580 and use that for a year then upgrade.

why do you niggers always cheap out on the cooler?

ID Software magic: Doom can run on anything

Because I couldn't be fucked to run a custom loop and AIO liquid gets around the same performance anyway so why waste money you elitist retard

I agree, but ITX cases are far more expensive.

Nice stickers bro

The implication was "AIR BAD" so forgive me for making a reasonable assumption. As far as air cooling goes, I know Noctua makes better fans. I don't care. I get 75-80c under load, so it hardly matters spending another $30+ to get 2-3 degrees cooler, on average.

I like it far better than the 1050 Ti I was running before, I'll say that. General performance is MUCH better overall, about a 98% boost in synthetics and probably 30-40FPS more real-world in modern titles. I got lucky and found a deal to get it for the same cost as the 1660 Super, too.

Delete this.

Attached: 1582792617459.jpg (621x621, 73K)

OG Beige PC cases may have fixed drive bays that interfere with GPU installation, the PSU mounting also may not be optimal since there's no way to isolate its airflow from the rest of the case, it'll be sucking hot air out of the system

Otherwise they should be fully compatible, get some measuring tape and work out if your card will fit or not.

>missing a screw on your heatsink
OH NO NO

>one drop of water or cat can destroy your PC with the side off

those dust particles make it look like it's underwater

I'd feel ya normally, but unfortunately my GPU fan is on the verge of breaking, so I blow a humongous desktop fan into it. It's a temporary fix until I can get a new GPU. I'm thinking gtx 1080. My current one is a fossile. It's a geforce 730.

My current build is in a Fractal Design R5 and I think this is the last time I build a full size PC. It's so fucking big it doesn't fit anywhere. My next build will be as small as I can get it without compromising power. Getting everything to fit just right in a mini or even micro ATX case seems like a fun challenge. Plus with M2/NVMe and SSDs it will be a lot easier.

lol imagine not using a full atx tower & motherboard

>60hz is enough. The eye can only see 24 anyway
Ok poorfag. Just because your potato has a hard time at 1080p 60hz doesn't mean the rest of us have this problem.

Pro-tip: You drill out the rivets. They are soft ass metal and come out super easy.

Jesus, I feel old. The GTX 400 series had a driver update that bricked cards. The 400's also ran insanely hot too. Nvidia was the original housefire meme.

I will also add that you can put them back in with a riveting tool and they aren't too expensive.

I was being ironic and I thought that you would have caught it from the guy in the video literally using a duster to clean his PC while standing on a carpet with gloves, not to mention the mismounted and crooked parts.
Seriously, I was just trying to confirm that a modular ATX cable was meant to have two separe connectors on the PSU itself and I found this abomination.

Oh yea. The dude had a shit build. Psu was upside down. Lol

Never watch videos to build rigs. Attention whores juat do ot for protagonism. The instructions are idiot proof already and it not that difficult overall.

My manual was actually spartan as hell without a diagram and looking around the internet didn't really give me anything. I assume that it comes from PSU cables not really being standardized. My first time ever using a fully-modular PSU.

>psu cables aren't standardized
Nani? You have your cpu cable, mobo cable, sata, some molex and pcie. Whats not standardized?

Are you screwing with confidence son

>PSU that was already in there was correctly installed

wtf is wrong with people

At the very least I know that you should never EVER use cables from one PSU on another.
Simply put, any search for the ATX cable would only show me the connector that went on the motherboard and I wasn't sure that the PSU side being split in two was something akin to 20/24-pins.
Thank God that I just plugged all of it.

I always find that case and mobo instructions are comprehensive. I am a dumb fuck social sciences major and built PCs just fine. The PSUs are clearly labeled on themselves and both ends of the cable but then again I can't speak for all of them. Hell I misconnected the power button because the case instructions were wrong. Mobo instructions are very solid.

Mobos generally will focus on the connects for itself. This was my second build ever and I agree that their instructions are solid though.

I decided to be an autist and replace all the stock cooler master fans that were rattling over 9 years. I'm planning on retiring this case as a NAS when I have enough cash in a few years to move to a proper modern gaming case. That's when the extra fans will be useful. I can probably just unplug the side fan at that point since it'll be a NAS.

First of all you can calibrate the colors fairly easily and download profiles with any decent new monitor. Second of all I just said you have to buy them in store and look at them which I did so I have virtually no light bleed. You still didn't answer my question faggot. How many have you actually seen in person? Don't tell me because I don't actually care. I'm suggesting you do that before you start talking out your ass because you watched linus tech tips, dipshit.

The only thing bugging me now is fan control. I recently switched over to Noctua fans inside the case, all of them PWM, and am using a commander pro to power and control them all. From what I've seen though, iCue and Ryzen processors don't play nice, and even with going a "quiet" setting the fans are constantly sitting at their max RPM, making the system loud as fuck almost constantly. Not to mention, the constant notification of a device being removed and inserted when the USB 2.0 connector from the commander pro is plugged into the MB.

based and noct pilled

Set the fan curves in your bios bromigo. Let the mobo handle fan speeds based on cpu or gpu temp. It's a bit more of a pain in the ass but icue sucks assholes. I use it for my cooler and want to kms. It's a resource hog and works like shit.

Cable management is a gay meme for people who like to post pics of the "guts of the rig" that they're "currently rocking" on reddit. It's proven that it has has no effect on your temps at all.

Attached: 1554467487614.jpg (1200x900, 110K)

Whether or not it has any effect on temps has nothing to do with how easy it is to do and only a complete piece of shit retard would take no time in routing them properly. Plus it makes it easier to clean and mess with down the road if something fucks up.

It can and will affect temps. The more open your case is and the more linear the airflow is, the easier it is for warm air to circulate out of the system. By making a net of cables you're effectively insulating your case.

Show me your overclock and temps in prime 95 so I can dab all over you with my meme cooler.

How much would you recommend a tripple fan over a double fan? I want to upgrade my old GPU, but i dont know, how big the different is. Also, how would i reduce the sag?

ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

>sag
I take one of the expansion slot brackes and bend it in a vice after measuring my gpu flat. Then I take the silicon sleaves from the gpu pcie and cut them to fit and attach with super glue. Here's my set up.
IDK about double or triple fan so you're just going to have to look at benchmarks.
Check right side of GPU. That gpu is like 5lbs.

I'm having doubts if a 3080 is going to physically fit in my old busted R3.

Attached: file.png (695x700, 620K)

Looks like you will be fine. 2080 would fit. 3080 should be about the same right?

>a 3080 is going to physically fit
definetly not those big ass 3-fan solutions from MSI or EVGA but thankfully they have big heatsinks with only 2 fans too

9/10

Decent, but needs more vibration pads to insulate the power supply from the case.

That's fine, my current card is a 1070 Dual (asus) and something like MSI gaming X for the 3080 would be my ideal upgrade.

I've got a 2080 and my case is smaller. Thats how I know. Yea it's only 2 fans but who the fuck thinks the 3rd fan actually does anything?

When we will find out price, release date and specs of new gpus?

might be revealed during GTC 2020 around end of March, if its not cancelled like ever other show

>b-but mom, i need a full tower for all my parts

Nasty and lazy

mine idle at 40c/100f and i have a fucking enormous cpu air cooler blowing on them
under load or overclocked they would bake without any airflow

only a problem for faster sticks

I want to switch to a custom loop but I think I'll wait for the next RTX cards to come out.

Is a 650w PSU overkill for a R5 3600 and 2070 Super build?

yes its more than enough

I wish I wasn't a brainlet, at this point I'm worried about even updating my computer in case my cooling isn't good enough and it all overheats. How to set up proper cooling?

remove the sticker from the CPU, if there is one, and screw in slowly your screws. make sure you apply even pressure, use the opposite screw hole after the last one. dont over tighten it, if you need to use more strenght its time to stop.

Not him but how about a R7 3700x and 2070S

still more than enough, you could drive a 3950X + 2070S with this PSU, just dont cheap out on it. get a brand model, 80+Gold. most of them come with a life long warrenty or at least 10years, so RMA is no issue if anything goes wrong.
even with an overclock, the 2070S wont sipp 200W. less the 3600/3700X

>even with an overclock, the 2070S wont sipp 200W
my bad, it actually does sipp more but no problem. you probably hit 400W max.

I absolutely love the Accelero but I hate that apparently manufacturer can't seem to make stock coolers that work on the same level

>you can use your pc for cooking

Attached: 1580803012985.gif (250x250, 1.95M)

Honestly not sure, but you should look to see the case itself's layout and your components. Very rarely are cases designed to be positive-pressure only but that requires the case, fans, venting, and components (ie type of CPU and GPU cooling etc) all line up so to speak.

In general yes, if you've got an "empty" spot where a fan can/should go, then its wise to add it. However it depends on your particular build. Just remember to consider the airflow in all the various sections of your case - you may need more than one intake and exhaust area etc.

>that post is my gf's that I built for her
gf builds are pure cringe. girls hate pc gaming, generally dont use pcs and when they do its surfing and maybe some word and excel so why the fuck build a gaming pc for them?

My main is built in one of these - fantastic cases. Its a pity that after decades the manufacturer is out of business (at least on the consumer side - business is still open I think).

Ah that's an O11 isn't it? Do you know there's a special manifold for liquid cooling for it? Seems like a neat idea. Overall a nice build you have there, but if you ever decide to step up to custom liquid instead of closed loop, the manifold will save time/components/ease of build.

>New pressing vinyl record still in the wrapper
What's the point of buying modern vinyls if you're not gonna listen to them. If you say "it looks nice" then at least take off the stupid stickers for fucks sake

LOOKS LIKE A FUKIN HAMSTER CAGE

What's the point of these widebois, you can fit everything in one chamber and have decent airflow. Is this for anime figurine space?

They're hugely customizable. That's a stock pic. Mine for instance has 2 fans where the clear window is there on the front , I have my bays set up differently on the right (that area is the Flex Bays that can be setup for anything from solid or vented covers, to fan mounts, to bay devices, to radiators depending how much space you want to take up) . , and that pic has the default "flat" top, I have the extended top which can handle push-pull fans on rad mounts. On the bottom left, the pic shows 2x HDD cages - great for a storage rig. You can swap those cages out though (only comes with one cage by default) and use the room for whatever you need - pumps and res etc... there's even an option for a side 3x120mm mount for another rad if need be.

Overall, they're made for good cooling and customization. You're meant to fill it up with hardware and cooling without feeling cramped.

not him, but i prefer cubes because i hate tall cases.

please rate my frankenstein's monster and give me tips on how to fix it I have no idea what I'm doing

Attached: peesee.jpg (4032x3024, 2.67M)

flip psu upside down and close the case window and never look into it again

Does your PSU have that orientation for a reason? Is there a vent on the bottom for it that you could face it downward? If not, that's okay but I just wanted to check.

Do you have a lot of molex connectors/adapters for a reason? Do your HDDs and whanot require them instead of SATAs? Also, is your GPU using...some sort of adapter for power? It doesn't have a PCI-E cable from your power supply you can use? I think a lot of the messyh look is the lack of sleeved cables there on the bottom.

That is actually a question, i would also like to know

>all these three slot cards
are these getting more common or something or is it just these 2080 supers that do it?
i can't fit triple wide cards in my case, getting kinda worried about the future

Not only that but you can buy the royal plastic diffusers on aliexpress for like $10 and swap the normal ones on the trident z dimms as well lmao

you would be amazed

Modular psu would fix 90% of problems. Or just disconnect all hdds etc, reroute cables through back of case and only pull through what you need
You do know that airflow in that case is disaster

Do you guys shit on intel CPUs because you wanna root for the underdog? Intel CPUs are factually better than Ryzen, right?

>get 4 extra frames for 50% more money
>meanwhile AMD destroys intel at everything else
Intel are a fraction better for gayman but at a muhc higher price while Ryzen is faster in everything else for cheaper.

>Do you guys shit on intel CPUs because you wanna root for the underdog?
Since when were Intel the underdog? Maybe things have changed recently but for fucking ages, AMD CPUs were always memed on for being inferior.

not everyone on the planet mingles with the kind of shit tier whores you're used to. shocking and against le epic r9k statistics, I know

I thought it was the other way round with intel being better at everything (video editing, 3D modelling, etc) with Ryzen being slightly better at gaming? I've been using an i7 2600 since 2012, wanna do a new rig. I'm contemplating that i9 9900k, what's Ryzen's equivalent?

Read my post again. I was not implying intel were the underdog.

AMD has been shit wrecking Intel since 2017.
You might not agree that first Gen Ryzen was great (and it was objectively worse than Intel in gaming) but it still forced Intel to bring out 8 cores to the mainstream, pushed down prices, and for a developer/workstation build, the 1700 god tier.

did I make the right choice

What the fuck is with the next iteration having double the amount of cores / threads as the 3900? 16 cores and 32 threads? Is that the biggest leap yet? Is there likely to be a price drop this year? Feel like I should wait for that to come down in price. Would Intel's next release cause them to drop the price? When could that be?

>Is that the biggest leap yet?
You also have the workstation Ryzen chips which are even more insane but yeah, it seems like jamming in MOAR CORES is finally paying off.

3900X is 12 cores, it launched at 500$ MSRP and is now as low as 420$

Moar coars paid off as soon as AMD matched/beat Intel in single-thread.
Zen 2 has better IPC than Coffee Lake, but slightly less clock speed. They are essentially matched in most scenarios, unless you buy a 9900K, lap it, put a chiller on it and overclock the fuck out of it.
For the vast majority of people it makes more sense to buy a 3600X or 3700X and spend the rest on a better GPU than pay the Intel premium, if they have a budget.

lads I'm taking the ITX pill, but first rate this build i'm still working on
pcpartpicker.com/list/R4njvW

trying to keep it under 1k, no aftermarket cpu cooler yet but i'll probably just get the hyper 212
also hoping to play Butterlord and Cyberpunk soon, don't really care if it's on the highest graphics settings or whatever, just want smooth FPS

200 bucks for a MOBO seems a bit much. If you get a cheaper one you can get a faster GPU.

I only picked x570 because those kinda motherboards work with the ryzen 5 out of the box, right?
I'm super paranoid about the b450 because for those you have to update the BIOS and stuff. I know the MSI B450 Max motherboards work outta the box too but there aren't any ITX variants AFAIK

We need to upgrade and expand

very nice

you could easily fit another system in there. loads of empty space. cable management is pretty good tho

>Intel CPUs are factually better than Ryzen, right
not as it used to be since 3rd gen (even first gen was breath of fresh air to a cominated market). 3rdgen pretty much seals the deal for only buying Ryzen as of right now. Intel has nothing to offer in terms of performance per watt and price
they MIGHT have a ~5% lead in gaymes but only when its close to maxed out on clocks, so expensive cooling is neccesary.
meanwhile Ryzen performs great with their damn stock-cooler
for the price of a Intel i9-9900k, you get a 12c/24t part from AMD.

>Would Intel's next release cause them to drop the price? When could that be?
Intels comet-lake will add 2cores for their highest offering to10c/20t, which we now know struggles to keep up with AMDs 12c/24t.

>shit stock cpu cooler
>top open without the fans, causing nothing but more dust buildup
>10 degree gpu sag
>medusa head psu
>no ssd
>mobo backplate missing
>all pcie covers missing
oh shit nigger what are you doing/10

every single motherboard, from lowest end A320 up to best X570 work with every single generation of Ryzen. you might need a BIOS flash, if it doesnt come with the newest already.
X570 boards only selling point is PCIe4.0 which isnt that awesome actually, you wont notice a difference unless its work related, not gayman.
grab a cheaper mobo with good reviews, make sure they tested a R9 3959X on the board - if so, you cant do anything wrong with it

What's the catch here? I'm a brainlet when it comes to this stuff so I'm just assuming more threads + cores = better, why would Intel release an inferior product knowing they're getting their shit pushed in by AMD? Would Intel's Comet release encourage AMD to do a price drop? If so do we have any idea when the retail release could be? This year? If that's the case I'll wait.

Pic from cleaning and cable management in the back.

Supposed to be all edgy red.

Intel can push their clock speeds much higher than AMD and usually lead in IPC also.
More threads and cores are only better if the workloads are sufficiently multithreaded.

Attached: 1578893093768.jpg (990x990, 113K)

intels new comet-lake isnt much of a competition, meanwhile Microcenter reguarly has the 3900X on discount for around ~410-420$ which intel cannot compete with. price drops will most likely happen to push the MSRP of AMDs 3900X down to only 399$ but dont take it for granted, i'm just a armchair analyst from /g/.
> why would Intel release an inferior product knowing they're getting their shit pushed in by AMD
its not about you or me, its about shitting out products so stockholder STFU for a time while their teams are working on actually delivering a good product. and Comet-Lake is fucking not, unless its -200bucks MRSP for their whole line-up compared to last gen.
>tl;dr
buy Ryzen, you can reuse your motherboard when a new gen comes. Intel need a new socket every new gen.

>and usually lead in IPC also.
wrong and homosexual. IPC lead was lost since first gen Ryzen. Intel only leads in single threaded games with their high core clock, thats it.

Buy intel, israel likes you if you're western.
AMD chinese spyware will always hate you for being white

Attached: 1575005825550.png (797x865, 683K)

i will NOT buy Intcel, shlomo.

Attached: 1547697586525.jpg (218x250, 7K)

False, IPC lead for the desktop market was lost when Ryzen 3xxx series came out, its extremely likely intel will retake the ipc lead once again.

And that ipc advantage gets multiplied by the massive clock speed increase

>by the massive clock speed increase
meanwhile Intel hit the dead end since Skylake and never ever had a single % IPC increase. yet we're on which iteration of skylake? 4th? 5th?
at least you got your +100Mhz on 0.25% yield, pal.

2 month old build, don't have a good pic but r8 n h8:
Corsair 680x rgb case
ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero mobo
32 gb DDR4 3466mhz @ CL16
Intel i9 9900KS
Corsair 850W PSU
Corsair 140mm cpu cooler
Corsair m.2 ssd 512 gb
EVGA Nvidia 970 SC

>buy Ryzen, you can reuse your motherboard when a new gen comes. Intel need a new socket every new gen.
Will this apply to the inevitable 4000 series? Help a brainlet understand here, this motherboard says it's compatible with 2000 and 3000, I guess it doesn't mention 4000 because it doesn't exist yet, but you would assume that it would be compatible with that?
ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX Motherboard

cringe case

>Will this apply to the inevitable 4000 series?
yes it will fit a 4XXX series CPU
>Help a brainlet understand here
no problem, theres a built guide on /g/ too. very helpful

That and my mobo are the only rgb shit on it, I swear

>Corsair 140mm CPU cooler
>i9-9900KS
You really should consider getting two 140mm fans and put them on a fat cooler like the NH-D15. You should have enough room in your case for it.

Lastly, why the fuck did you get a 970 in the year of our lord 2020? Just seems silly.
Everything else is good.

>E-ATX case built for custom watercooling
>put in a meager ATX mobo + 140mm AiO
well, its your money at the end

Attached: 1579780811873.jpg (592x533, 82K)

sounds like a holdover from last built or so

The cpu cooler did include two 140mm which are mounted with it. The 970 is from my last computer. Hopeful that the chinese mexican beer virus won't stall the 3080ti release

Iirc, AMD has said it wants motherboards to be able to work with next-gen CPUs, as well, so you can jump from 3xxx to 4xxx without issue.

Same. I can't wait to sell my 2080 Ti on eBay to fund my Ampere endeavors.

Just buy a bigger case with good cable management.

>mfw gonna grab one of them for 500bucks

Attached: 1518745201067.gif (460x460, 2.4M)

I guess I was more focused on decent cable management and air flow when I was checking cases. I picked this one for just 200 burgerbucks

Ur a punk bitch kid judging by those noodle arms

>I want to cool my processor, I‘m going to attach a fan to it
vs.
>I want to cool my processor, I‘m gonna attach a water line to it, run the water line through my rig and then attach a fan to it
FUCKING. WHY.

Almost jumped on a new ASUS 2080ti from newegg for $1000 bucks about a month ago but decided to hold. Price hasn't dropped under $1200 since that one day

based retard , keep investing in new nvidia tech maybe you will actually have some games to play come 2022.

top fan is unnecessary.
close the top.
flow winner here.

learn how air flows kids and learn some thermodynamics.

why are you doing this ? you do realise that any light source in your eyesight range when looking at the monitor, totally fucks your contract right ?

fucking retards i swear.

any additional light source i mean. when you look at the monitor, you should have no other direct light source hitting your eyes for, if there is, your retina slightly closes and you lose on detail and contrast. this happens even if you are not directly looking at the light source.

Most people shit on intel because of typical shady megacorp garbage. They constantly pull shit that makes everything worse for their customers.
AMD definitely aren't strictly "on our side" or anything, but they aren't plain malicious like Intel is.
Intel does have like, one or two consumer models that are slightly better than the best AMD consumer models in terms of single core performance. There are drawbacks but it IS a tradeoff. I could go into detail but suffice it to say that unless you're willing to delid/modify your high end intel and dump tons of money into it, you're going to have a better time with AMD.

Intel has been putting more effort into their notebook CPUs and trying to push into the GPU market lately, and their desktop hardware has severely fallen behind.

with Intel you get reliable proven objectively better in real world performance , you benefit from this in every way and every time you use your pc.

even if they have shady business practices, they are on a scale of large megacorps, and you as a desktop end-user, would not be affected in any way in 99.9% of the situations.

choosing AMD for this is retarded sorry.

>300W heat output for 5% higher clocks is all worth it, go-fellow customer!
no one in their right mind if buying intel right now, especially DIY market is ~90% AMD since 3rd gen Ryzen dropped.
server market get hit every other day with a new vulnerability which needs to be fixed. if intel didnt have any running contracts with big names, AMD would snatch up everything. see you summer, when AMD hits 15% server market share and paid off all debts also.
>tfw their gpus still kinda suck

>LAN parties
Where the hell do you live where this is still a thing? I'm jealous.

I've two options now. Buy ryzen 3700x and sell it to buy 4900x when it comes out or buy a 3900x now and settle for 3-4 years.
The PC is all-new since I moved to a different country and couldn't bring mine.

Which option would you guys recommend?

Are you retarded? Because she liked gaming on my PC so built her one for herself.

Sorry you can't find a based gamer grill.

I thought having negative pressure over positive pressure resulted in more dust..

i bet a 3600 is more than enough till 4th gen Ryzen hits the shelves
>buy a 3900x now and settle for 3-4 years
credible leaks say Zen3/Ryzen4XXX will bring +12% integer & +50% floating point performance increase, so we're looking at a comparable jump from Zen2 to Zen2 as we seen Zen2 from Zen+ was all things consindered. i'd grab a 3600/3700X now and upgrade with Zen3

>from Zen2 to Zen3
pardon me

Attached: 1552493286350.png (765x624, 171K)

Thanks for confirming my initial plan, m8.

take this on your way out lad

Somebody who like Super would be this stupid.

What made you think that?

Pretty sure I saw them test it on on a Linus tech tips video.. idk

HWINFO doesn't show ram temps, dumass.

That would wholly depend on the case and how many openings it has without dust filters, I suppose.

>lying on the internet
5ghz i5 uses less than 200w and for vidya is better than even the 3900x. If we want to talk work loads that is a different topic though. If you want to play vidya and mess around with overclocks the i5/i7 is king. If you want to talk work loads there is no reason not go with AMD. If you do both you may as well sacrifice those extra frames and get AMD but strictly vidya Intel is still ahead of the curve.

I want to change the cooler next, I had bad luck with the amd fan and is a loud one

Attached: argeebee.jpg (900x1600, 86K)

>didnt plug in your CPU cable
Were you trying to flex your cable management?

literally what the fuck are molex pins for in 2020
why do psu's still have them

i enjoy pretty lights

Is there a big difference in features between a gsync monitor and gsync ready one?

>looking for pc parts for friend
>900 burgerbucks
>gpu is more expensive than cpu ram and motherboard combined
wtf? did the chinks actually cause this?

Attached: amd.png (282x395, 176K)

can you even buy shit without this fucking RGB LED trash anymore
it's on everything now

GPUs crashed from crypto mining, get one lightly used off ebay for 1/3 the price of new

all of the components have the ability to turn off the rgb so it doesnt really matter too much

>ebay
sorry yuropoor here

>a $200 chip goes toe to toe with AMDS $500cpu
I suppose that doesn't fit into your definition of better for gaming as it's cheaper and on par? Some games it actually pulls ahead.
