Parts of it had soul, parts of it didn't. It was practically a patchwork quilt of shit by different people, some of whom clearly gave a shit and some of whom seemed to be doing the bare minimum to get a paycheck.

1 was pretty faithful in terms of the levels, with only one or two that missed the mark. 2 and 3 were for the most part okay, with the occasional really ugly one and occasional one which looks better than before, Robotica Farms and Lost Fleet coming to mind.
The characters designs were way more hit-or-miss. The dragons were okay, barring the occasional gross looking one, but the NPCs from 2 and 3 and many of the enemies were a lot less polished. For all the talk of making each dragon unique, the level NPCs from 2 and 3 all share the same character models, they just swapped the colors of their clothes, hair, etc. All the fairies in 2 and 3 are the same as they were before, Zoey's character model with swapped hair styles and dress colors.
