that's not Fusion
Echoes is like the 3d version of fusion though.
>Echoes is like the 3d version of fusion though.
No, Other M is the 3d version of Fusion
I got filtered by the 7 minute countdown
It's shit
yes
lol no, fusion would actually be good if that were true. Other M is fusion in 3D
The original NES game will always be a masterpiece in my book. Played Super and thought it was good, but it just didn't scratch the same itch
The original is garbage my friendo
Dead wrong, it's pure casual filter all the way
dark aether is tedious and brings down the game
ZM by far
Shit list. Fusion is Top Tier, Super Metroid is Mid Tier, Corruption is LowTier bordering on Shit Tier.
literally filtered
Yeah, literal copypasted areas with the exact same monotonous black/purple hue, shitty unaesthetic light bubbles littering the entire scene, and monotonously sitting around in said bubbles waiting for health to regenerate is not fun
Not him, but is it possible you are brain damaged?
Super smash bros is unironically the most enjoyable metroid game
You misspelled Super.
> super metroid
> mid tier
Dark Aether is not good
And before you say "filtered" and what not
My main issue with it is that it's not hard enough
Dark Aether should be zones where the rules get turned on their head, enemies respawn and don't drop health at all, you can't save in them, only before entering and after leaving, there's little to actually explore
when you go into dark aether it should feel like you're going into a truly hostile environment and your primary goal should be to leave ASAP and survive while doing it, each hop should be a sort of environmental boss battle
like the other user said, they're tedious, not hard
corruption at least has some semblance of exploration unlike f*sion
these games were fucking boring and the fact that every planet is just a chozo suit playground breaks all immersion
All prime games suck ass.
>sitting around in said bubbles waiting for health to regenerate
filtered
Hey I just finished Echoes today. I had a lot of fun but it has some issues.
>First two areas are kinda samey
>Tons of loading screens because of the dimension hopping
>Sky key collection was kinda annoying
>100% items and scans was a bit of a pain because it required dimension hopping a lot while searching if you were playing blind like me.
Overall my favorite of the 3 primes though for sure.
the most difficult moments in the metroid series occur in dark aether (boost guardian, spider guardian, alpha blogg, emperor ing)
>First time in Dark Aether.
>portal closes behind you leaving you in cancer land
You will never feel that feel for the first time again. Echos was great. I should replay the prime series again at some point.
I used to play the trilogy yearly, I havn't for 3 years since I've been waiting for the faggots at nintendo to release the HD version
I recently just played blind, I didn't find the Spider Guardian or Emperor Ing too bad. Boost guardian is kind of a motherfucker sometimes though.
This always bothered me too. I know it's "just a game" but 3d metroid is particularly egregious
emperor ing isn't too bad but is still harder than the rest of the series (metroid isn't a difficult series to begin with). Did you play on trilogy with spring ball for spider?
also if you're playing blind, that means you're playing on normal mode. hard/hypermodes are the real ways to play
how is it different from SR-388 and Zebes?
I came here just to say that I agree with the OP.
Sometimes the bomb slots can be dumb, but a lot of the time I kinda accept it.
The way I saw it is that the Chozo suit can just copy and incorporate foreign tech into itself automatically. An example is in Prime 3 where she straight up steals the Nova Beam and Hazard Shields from the pirates and her suit automatically adapts them onto itself. Also for the comic you posted, the fact that those robots in 3 blow shit up to get around is dumb, but them being powered by tech similar to the Chozo isn't too outrageous. The lore tablets all over the planet state that they were visited by the Chozo early in their history and the Chozo taught them how to make tech like theirs.
Yeah I guess I never thought about how spring ball would make that bit easier. I was planning to go back through the games on hypermode in the next couple of days, starting with 3 because its probably the easiest/shortest.
I snagged a trilogy copy at random when they came out because I liked the metal case. My set up doesn't lend it self well to waggle controls though. I will probably just use a controller.
3 never stuck out as much for me besides the final boss which was kinda a let down. i was expecting some sort of mega form where dark samus fully fuses with the brain and becomes Metroid Prime 2.0 bringing the series full circle for its final game. I was was really disappointed.
>i was expecting some sort of mega form where dark samus fully fuses with the brain and becomes Metroid Prime 2.0 bringing the series full circle for its final game. I was was really disappointed.
I mean that kind of is what happens.
I really like the story and vibe of 3, and love all the lore in each location. It also has some great bosses, but I do have to agree the final boss isn't great. Dark Samus' first phase is pretty good, but the brain is lame. I get trying to remake Mother Brain as the ending sequence but it was meh. At least Ridley got 2 great bosses in that game.
yes but those are hard not because of dark aether but rather because of the bosses themselves
every time you go inthere you should be sweating buckets not standing around peacefully for a few minutes
>yes but those are hard not because of dark aether but rather because of the bosses themselves
dark aether's poison is definitely a factor in boost guardian
The issue with that is that metroid games are designed with you going back to areas over and over. No matter what older areas are gonna become easier. Also in games where you have to backtrack and have fairly limited handholding, punishing players who are trying to explore too harshly may end up more frustrating than fun, which probably wasn't the goal.
>post genuine issue with a game
>durr hurr filtered xD
except you're never forced to sit in the bubbles outside of the boss fights before the dark suit where it becomes a positional mechanic to work around, git gud
You're right, Fusion couldn't possibly be the best. Doesn't even rank in the top 5.
/thread
you're free to come back, but the idea is that dark aether isn't full zones but rather short stretches of content where your mastery of the game is challenged
you can come back for sure but the main exploration happens in light aether
its not different. it just hard to imagine im invading a spaceship when it doesnt look anything like it supports crew. all games have this problem. when has an ancient temple in zelda ever looked like it was built to make sense? also i have autism
>he sits around waiting for his health to fill up
>the fact that those robots in 3 blow shit up to get around is dumb
ye i cant get over it. im a faggot though dont mind my opinion
Who cares it looked cool
but you're not metroid 3
2D or bust. The Prime games don't do it for me.
>generic FPS trying to get on the Halo bandwagon
>good
>BUT MUH ATMOSPHERE
Wrong
This
switch around fusion and samus returns and that list would be perfect.
samus returns has actual exploration and doesn't have forced unskipable cutscenes/handholding so I don't think i'll be doing that
