EZ boss or not, dude's entrance was still pretty badass.

i don't really get Nip sensibilities but I like how they unapologetically made him and his horse giants
>he's brave and he's loyal so he's twice the size of a nromal human, deal with it faggot

same thing with the roosters that are near human size velociraptors
or the downies with the cricket bats

It's as if someone took the expression "he's twice the man you are" literally.

i played Sekiro with Jap voice, but i don't speak it so I remember them as if they're speaking in my native language

I bet these 2 fucks on my first try. Is this the fight everyone was freaking out on?
Why was there another headless monkey anyway? Who cut off his head

I'm pretty sure he disappeared into nothingness??

It's the same one user

Well, ok..
Thanks.

You stabbed the infestation with your normal sword, not the mortal blade. He just did what you do every time you die.

YOU WON A TRIP

They hired Americans

IS NIOH

It's " Ware Oniwa Gyoubu Masataka Nari."

Of course you would beat it on your first try. So did I. Because all the hard effort in learning was already done with the first Guardian/Headless Ape fight. Not even the addition of the Ape's mate added much to the second fight.

i'm playing this game on a craptop at around 20-30FPS with a significant amount of input lag, with M+KB. The parry timing is slightly tighter but the game still feels responsive and great to play
just made it to fountainhead palace.

Best level in the game
Hope you have fun

ME LLAMOOO

>i don't really get Nip sensibilities
In their otherwise normal history books from >100 years ago, there's a lot of fantasy shit with giant animals.
It would be like if George Washington fought a giant centipede instead of chopping down a cherry tree.

>People on Yea Forums played this shit on english instead of japanese

The first ape took me legit like 30 tries
The two apes fight took me two tries since i already knew all the patterns.

Genichiro filtered me :(

In Japanese folklore, isn’t there something about men becoming giants as they gain more power? I remember hearing that somewhere, and it would explain why so many characters in Souls games (or any JRPG, for that matter) are way beyond normal human proportions.

Every single game except shit like DMC is better in japanese, and just because they hired some literally whos on DMC

Based user playing in the truly hardest difficulty and not charmless bullshit, i did the same, after watching videos on youtube i realized at 60fps it becomes way easier to parry attacks.

Kek imagine being worse than DSP

MADA MADA

KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIID

Played through game multiple times in JP, like it should be. Out of curiosity I watched a video showing some of the English voices and overall it was wasn't that amazing, but god damn was Oniwa pretty good. He sounded mad as fuck.

I didn't think they were hard either owl part 2 is probably the hardest fight in the game imo.

And then there's the story of the carp becoming a dragon that's taken pretty literally in Sekiro as well.

>From's best game has 0 replayability
Who would've thought?

Fuck dress up fagsq

ok weeb

Attached: 79047660_p5.jpg (1315x1124, 598K)

I'm on Genichiro/Isshin. I already won a few times but let him kill me in the end so I can enjoy the fight a little more

Bloodborne has plenty of replayability though, each weapon is like a unique new playthrough and you can level different stats, do new chalice dungeons, try arcane or beast builds etc.

Just play NG+ man, you can even use Kuro's charm and activate the demonbell for extra difficulty

Before I do that, I want to know if it's impossible to get to these grayed-out idols in the endgame?

Attached: 2020-03-01_09-46-32.png (1600x900, 2.56M)

Is this why Kapador becomes Garados in Pokemon?

It's 100% possible

I guess because it’s set in Japan it sound way moire authentic in Japanese. The English voice acting in soulsborne games are mostly god tier but for Sekiro it was fucking embarrassing

Nvm it isn't, you did beat DoH right?

>playing with dub

activision

I thought the same exact thing

hivemind

Yep

Yes

It wasn't meant to be, Miyazaki didn't want an English dub for the game, he also wanted English only for Dark Souls.

>Charmless
What about those Darth Maul straw hat guys at Senpou Temple who deal two hits in one swipe really quickly? I always just parry one of those hits. And I can't always fully parry Genichiro's long combo attack even when I know I'm L1ing at what I think is the right time. I might take the charm back after I level all the skills up.

IS NATHAN FIELDER

Wtf was the fish corpse doing in the monke's den?

why would you do that.
You will just have to be more cautious with your parries, for example instead of parrying Genichiro's floating passage, you can just run away from it and just parry the last hit of it

You know that waterfall in fountainhead palace? It's the same waterfall that leads to the monkey den.
Basically Fountainhead palace is situated rigth above the Buddha valley,
Which explains why the monkey is immortal.

Oh yeah you're right.

Game becomes a joke and a chore after you beat it once since you know every boss pattern, and the NG is kind of bullshit since bosses can install kill you in 1 hit.

>for example instead of parrying Genichiro's floating passage, you can just run away from it and just parry the last hit of it
That's a good idea. Thanks senpai

Charmless + demonbell is a lot of fun

I don't know man, i remember every boss pattern and how to dodge after dying so many times in the first playtrough, and what and what not to do
Remember your first time against the guardian ape how you struggle to see those weird as shit attack animations?, and then you fight the two guardian apes and you beat it without dying?, that's how NG+ feels.

I didn't chamless + demonbell ng+ but got bored halfway through, still got up to isshin but dropped after that.
You hit like a wet noodle, boss' posture regenerate ultra fast and you eat at it pixel by pixel. If you dare dodge or get hit even once, bosses have the time to fully regenerate posture and you're back at square one. It's not especially fun

nah even with charmless and demonbell on ng+ it's best to parry genichiro's floating passage. you just have to be careful because there is 1 hit (i think the 4th in the combo) that absolutely cannot be parried, it can only be guarded. just make sure you have enough posture to tank this 1 hit and you're good. no point running away from free posture damage.

It's risky because you risk of getting guard broken midcombo.

the only time i get guardbroken on genichiro's floating passage on charmless is when i loose track of my posture meter and the unparriable hit gets me. keep you posture low by backing off and holding l1 and you can handle the combo. As for the timing, it's just one of those things you learn.
1 - 2, spin, 1 2 3 4 5 6, charge up then 7
after fighting genichiro about 50 times over the time i played sekiro i think it's hit number 6 that for some reason cannot be parried, even with perfect timing, leading to a potential gaurdbreak which makes you eat the final hit if your posture is high.

Dlc prequel with playable Isshin when

This. Owl2 is incredibly annoying. Ishin is only difficult because muh 4 phases.
Btw. I still don‘t understand why the ashina soldiers are fucking attacking me after kuro fucking uses the castle as hq.
Also is the only reason you fight against isshin at the end, because he just wants to fight?

you are a fucking casual if you think it is

Spoken like a retard that hasn’t played the game. You can’t even get all the bosses with one run.

Because they are being led by Genichiro, he's their leader now.
Isshin is too old and retired on his watchtower while Emma takes care of him
But that's boring as fuck so he hunts down and kills ministry ninjas to kill time without Emma knowing anything.

Attached: 1555038229221.png (540x900, 358K)

You fight Isshin at the end because Genichiro summoned him from the dead using the black mortal blade.
And he had to respect Genichiro's wish, to kill you and save ashina from the ministry invasion. It's not like Isshin hated you.

Emma knows all about it. Isshin even leaves her a letter saying "the tengu" is going out to hunt the "rats"

Attached: 1569817111124.jpg (480x480, 83K)

>And I can't always fully parry Genichiro's long combo attack even when I know I'm L1ing at what I think is the right time
Don't bother with doing that. Deflect the first two hits and instantly dodge backwards, when he does that final underhand hit then go back and deflect it.

Hardest boss is either ape guardian because weird patterns, demon of hatred because the hitboxes suck ass, or isshin because 4 phases+ glock

What did i miss?, i obviously didn't kill the great fish because is not even a boss fight.
And the emma+real isshin fight is a joke anyways.

LITERALLY bad advice, read my post there is no reason not to parry it, doubly so if you have kuro's charm. just learn the timing.

Everyone who didn't read their item descriptions and just toss snap seeds at her I guess.

Did anyone else think that "Confront Boss memory" was a way to fight a boss again? I feel like that would've been a perfect system to have a boss rush mode.

I read the item description, I just never got to the illusions to understand the description

You didn't hurt the harmless scared old lady, right Yea Forums?

Attached: 1562379989754.png (569x668, 540K)

I made the mistake of starting it on like NG+7 or something, by which time I knew perfectly how to parry everything in the game so I just dropped it after a while since it just made me feel bad.

I sure as hell did.

disgusting shura

No. Her death was instant.

This game is becoming very creepy. The hell is happening?
I have yet to kill any of the shishimen warriors or any headless, is this bad?
That instant terror kill is retarded. No idea how to deal with that.

Attached: 1581755805625.jpg (2752x1152, 1.84M)

Because it wasn't the intended voice actors.
Miyazaki wanted Japanese voice acting for the game, and that's fine because in every souls game he wants English voice acting.

is SLIM SHADY

I came back to the headless and shamisen warriors at the end of the game just before I beat the final boss.
I buffed with pacifying agent and diving confetti, then kill them quickly before it wears off.
Also, I didn't find out until a long time after beating the game, but there's literally an estus flask for terror. Sold by one of the merchants.

The shichimen warrior in the abandoned dungeon drops an extremely good item.
If you have enough divine confetti, you can take him on.
Make sure to have the purple umbrella, and the living force skill

Thanks, I'm gonna do just that

youtu.be/J8iRR49WaEs

I remember getting genuinely creeped out by the Mist noble the first time I saw him

You can one shot the warrior with the anti air deathblow skill
Also make sure to get the anti terror gourd sold by the merchant near the bonfire in Mibu village

FRYLOCK AND I'M ON TOP

Keep progressing and see for yourself, that's why I love Fromsoft games, because of creepy shit like this that happens at the halfway point of the game.
There were also the Ayyys from Bloodborne, and the pilgrim butterflies and Angels from ds3

The fuck is that shitty skin mod?

Why did everyone shit on Genichiro bros

Attached: 1582092991915.png (648x1167, 386K)

cos he drank from the chocolate river and got the nigger sword of evil

How do you have 29 emblems user?

you can cheese him in the stairs, it makes it so much easier

Lmao fish niggas

I have a confession to make
I killed snake eyes by waiting her into the poison water then waiting 20 minutes on a ledge until she died
I hate snake eyes bitches

baiting*

I did it too. Those bosses are way too defensive and have too much posture.

Ez snake eye kill:
Use sabimaru until she gets poisoned
During her poison animation, use the mortal blade.
Make sure to stealth deathblow herq

also ez snake eye kill:
deflect her attacks and hit her until she dies

>just roll bro

>Sekiro thread

Attached: 1568640586406.png (1750x1750, 894K)

no, definitely don't do that

>DANGER kanji pops up
>block her attack
>it was actually a grab
>get pulled into her and shot in the head
>die
>get up again
>DANGER kanji pops up
>step back
>wait 5 minutes
>okay her grab animation must be finished now
>move back into attack
>her grab hadn't finished
>get grabbed
>get shot in the head
>"OOOUUUHHGH"
dead

There's a sekiro thread every single day user

>>okay her grab animation must be finished now
>>move back into attack
??? do you have eyes? you can just look at her and tell if it's finished or not

Just parry the grab lmao
yes you can parry the grab I'm not joking

My point is, that grab attack is so visually misleading and has a weird hitbox

It is a weird attack, but it's trivial to avoid by jumping backwards. there's no reason to go as absurdly far as poisoning her in the swamp and hiding for 20 minutes just because she has 1 kinda weird attack

ROCK YOU LIKE A COP

Can you get to the other side of the broken bridge outside of the dilapidated temple? Not the one that eventually is repaired.

Do you like temple arts Sekibros?

High monk is the best one
I guess praying strikes are also good for quick hits one enemies

Quick hits on enemies*

Kind of boring but High Monk is OP is sweeps.

Did you know it's possible to not injure the snake's eye?
You just have to be fast enough and pray the snake doesn't hit you when you're grappling

fire umbrella helps with those, and just that whole fight in general

MEATWAD YOU UP NEXT WITH YOUR KNOCK KNOCK

Attached: giphy.gif (454x360, 526K)

I redid this fight until he survived. I don't know if it makes any differences yet, but yeah, I needed to make sure he lived through the fight against that drunken shit. Lady Butterfly filtered me, I went back to Ashina for now just to try and power up. She was too stronk in her second phase.

Attached: 20200229215336_1.jpg (1920x1080, 369K)

Not him but WHAT
I didn't even know you were supposed to injure it. I just snuck all the way to that little wooden box thingy and then the game seemed to suggest that I should hit the eye, but it wouldn't let me stab from inside the box, so I exited and ran and survived. Are you telling me I'm supposed to stab it when I exit the box? lol

When you're inside the palanquin the snake will move it's eye to the hole in the fabric and you can deathblow it from there.

you just hide in the palanquin and hit r1 when the deathblow prompt comes up and you stab the snek

Some of the english voices were actually good though. I think the Sculptor, Owl, Isshin and Sekiro all have better voice actors in english. I've done two playthroughs with both dubs and I can safely confirm that.

I feel like such a brainlet. Now I have to go back to that hellish place just to do this.

Attached: 1529702509900.gif (415x405, 1.73M)

cringe

cringe

cringe

double cringe

Just remember, you don't need any snap seeds in her 2nd phase, just run around until she gets tired and remove the illusion.
Also, shurikens helps wonderfully to knock her out of the air.
If you're in Ashina castle, don't go anywhere else or you're just going to get filtered.
Just focus on saving your shota lord from Genichiro, and Genichiro is situated at the top of the castle.
He's basically the final tutorial check.
Make sure you get all the passive skills first (don't get the emblem ones)

Butterfly is a lit harder than him

Attached: 1581495261570.png (804x698, 738K)

The second ape just kinda stood around when I fought him, rarely attadcking so I was kinda wondering the same
So the next time around, I decided to experiment and attack the brown ape
Doing this, they both seem to fight much more aggressively

Why would you want to hurt the snake
He didn't do anything wrong, he was just hungry

Ape is really unreasonably hard. They were litally out of their minds when they did it.

Fromsoft really nailed his movements, he moves very naturally
You're basically just fighting a giant schimpanze

For some reason in this fight he took an immense posture damage and I killed him in seconds, while in the first battle, where he was alone, it took ages to build up posture damage, which resulted in lots of deaths.
