Battlenetwork legacy collection when?
>Battle Network
>Battle Network 2
>Battle Network 3 White
>Battle Network 3 Blue
>Battle Chip Challenge
>Battle Network 4: Red Sun
>Battle Network 4: Blue Moon
>Battle Network 4.5: Real Operation (never officially localized)
>Battle Network 5: Team Protoman
>Battle Network 5: Team Colonel
>Battle Network 6: Cybeast Gregar
>Battle Network 6: Cybeast Falzar
And those are just the GBA games. Don't forget
>Network Transmission
>Battle Network 5: Double Team DS
>Battle Network: Operate Shooting Star (never officially localized)
as additional Nintendo ones, and
>N1 Battle (never officially localized)
>Rockman.EXE WS (never officially localized)
>Phantom of Network (never officially localized)
>Legend of Network (never officially localized)
>Battle Chip Stadium (never officially localized)
>The Medal Operation (never officially localized)
That's a lot of games. They could probably get away with just the mainline GBA games that got localized, but that's still like 10 games.
I liked that off-beat humor the game had whenever you examined random shit. Is there a term for it?
>N1 Battle
That's literally just Battle Chip Challenge
soul
Why do you guys keep asking when we're going to get a BN Legacy Collection? It'll happen when it happens, since they're going in order of the timeline.
Chances are they'd substitute BN1 for OSS and BN5 for BN5 DS, no reasons for the originals.
THE FOREST IN ON FIRE! QUICK! JACK INTO THIS BEAR!
>Legacy Collections
>including a game that isn't strictly part of the main series
lmao
My memory is hazy, does 4 and 6 have vast differences between each version? I know for 3 it's almost interchangeable(there's a few different chips and the Mistman/Bowlman thing)
I think it's just certain scenarios is 4 and link navis and the final boss in 6
I don't think there's a technical term. Some games are stupid and just describe the object, some take it too far and try to make an entire comedy routine for every time object. BN does it better by only giving 1-2 lines.
I have only played 6, falza version. It was fun but i heard there was supposed to be postgame content that got removed.
Why the fuck would they do that?
Post your favourite Navi right now.
They did that for a lot of the BN games because westerners were too dumb.
fug
Django from Boktai series? It's a crossover but Boktai was Japan exclusive atm.
>Why the fuck would they do that?
Some things were locked to PETs and chips we never got in the west. In fact, we only got the very first PETs as far as I know and the toys died out before the second ones even came out. I didn't even see the booster packs they promised at all. So since you couldn't connect your PET to unlock them they just went by the wayside.
The Boktai crossover stuff also couldn't be done because we never got Boktai 3 in the west.
When it comes to Starforce the Lunar Knights stuff was left out for some unknown reason. If you use an Action Replay and just cheat them in they all function properly. On Lunar Knights' side you can give yourself the Starforce boss armor pieces but they don't do anything, and while you can equip Omega-Xis as a Terrennial via cheats he just does neutral damage and is effectively pointless.
IIRC the PET toys started with the BN3 design, and we only ever got the BN4 design.
What? Django and Boktai content were in BN4 and 5. Boktai 3 was the only one that didnt get brought over here.
I like frogs
Wait what was Omega-Xis' Jap name?
Warrock (ウォーロック)
>slow as fuck
>charge shot is just a wide sword with breaking
name one worse navi to play as than him
I fully accept that I am a pleb for having a BN4 favorite
DS version was pretty great as you can swap him for Magnetman who was vastly superior.
Recently got a BN1 cartridge. Didn't know it was one of those official games with a battery. Assuming it was not used in the last decade, how much do you think it will last?
Also is it difficult to relplace the old battery for a new one?
i liked him in the anime
If I was a net navi and my owner designed me without hands I'd be fucking pissed. Look at this poor bastard:
His fight was really cool, and he had a great fucking redesign from his Classic look. Plus, Skull Man is just great in general. Have you read his part in the Mega Mix manga? He kills almost everyone.
my boy
Sword navis in general are pretty nice
Tie between Kingman, Heatman, and Pharaohman. It's so hard to pick.
Battle Network, X, Zero, Legends.
You know, I gotta wonder why the spin-off games for the megaman series are just so much better than the actual OG megaman series.
What the fuck were they thinking with this one? That's objectively the worst redesign in the series.
Bait
every time I see this picture I think the green arms are his entire torso and instead he just has stubby sword things
He can probably morph his cannons into hands whenever he likes, you know.
>ywn customize your navi
Why even live?
Go chat with Cleverbot, dumbass.
His chaos union is so fucking broken it's not even funny.
WHIIIIIIIIR
Meanwhile Chaos Kernel gets a fucking horn.
>do hubstyle requirements in bn2
>still need to grind 280 battles to unlock it
What were they thinking?
Also should i grind for secret pvp chips for hard mode or should i just skip to bn3? Got every other star.
I really want to finish JP BN6 with the english translation but when I try to use the AR/gecko codes to unlock the last jobs my game always glitches out. Fucking sucks man
i ran into him without knowing he existed in the first game, gaming was so much cooler before the internet spoiled everything
bn4 has a very good selection of navis though
Undertale is legitimately the best game made for this in modern times.
>name one worse navi to play as than him
This is why you play double team then you can change navis for the other version's in liberation missions
This guy is a close second though, especially after being able to play as him in 6 (gregar)
Battle Network has aged surprisingly well.
For some reason it was able to predict surprisingly accurate where the internet was heading and the cultures that would surround it.
It's more impressive in the first game, but still.
What's the joke? That the flower is a computer too?
True.
Better Roll.
Internet 1.0 is being memory holed. They don't want us to remember when it wasn't all homogenized garbage. They don't want us to remember you could post whatever you wanted. They don't want people to remember that their real life identity didn't have to be attached to their internet activity.
Gregar had the best navi group of the series
Colonel forever
Best soul too
with all the internet terrorism leading to real world consequences in the BNET universe the series is more of an argument in favor of extreme internet regulation.
That's the sort of thing happening now
Back in the day it was all just cool shit like some neet hacking into nasa's database just for shits and giggles
Stone Man's pretty awful, too.
But I think those are the only two cases of bad redesigns.
Nope, it's a simple solder job. You can lookup videos on how to do it. Don't be a fag and half ass it like some people do.
Worst are Quickman/Iceman, literally nothing changed.
Then hopefully it's up next. Big question I have is if they'd roll Star Force into it since they're the same universe. They decided to put Zero and ZX together after all. And that release was actually excellent. Hopefully they get BN right, too instead of fucking up like the other Megaman collections.
Step aside, best navi redesign coming through.
Don't fix what ain't broken.
>just a wide sword with breaking
It hits in a circle around you. Good for viruses that get in your area like those tank guys or the falcon darkloids
GRAVITY MAN KIDOU
KAIJO WO KAISHISHIMASU
>Commits genocide
>Has no issue damaging an important piece of tech and causing massive damage to society
>Gets hired by the good guys and everyone is okay with it
How did he get away with it?
by being the best (after megaman)
To be fair, they had backups.
What's so funny?
Play Shanghai Genso Network.
Shadow Chaos is so damn busted if you do nothing but spam P.A's
If they would put some work into it they could easly make a single version of 3 and a single one of 4, but would be more work for 5 and 6.
>Single version of 4
Honestly, that'd probably be better. Just fill every tournament with signature Navi, instead of the pointless side Navi quests like that one chef mission. That way, you also get more Souls, too. That, and probably remove the 3 playthrough thing to get every soul in the game.
That way they could also fix Woodman stage softlock bug
It's cool, he was just a hired gun.
Meddy mommy
You posted it
Didn't they already do that for the Wii U ports
Man, if we get a full blown BN/SF Collection, we'll have BN, or General Megaman threads for months. These games are honestly pretty damn long. That is, if people don't throw the game aside due to BN1's battery dungeon. Of course they could also replace it with Operation Shooting Star, but we don't know.
The Zero Legacy threads have already ran out of steam, and it's only been 4 days. It takes on average, a good 6 to 10 hours for each BN game.
What? The first game is shorter, but the others are upwards of 20 hours each, and that's before you get into the post-game for any of them.
Any /autist/ that 100%d these games? Personally i couldn't even bother
Depends on country
Japan had 5 and 6 designs
I tried but can't play wifi-battles anymore so I can't fight Acid Ace BB or Dread Joker RR.
100%ed every version if you're talking about BN
>Tried to go for completion on a copy of BN6 with all the japanese content
>Didn't realize until I got halfway through the endgame that I would need essentially unobtainable shit to finish my collection and progress through all of the content
>I was playing on a 3ds
just 100% the English version
Remember when games didn't used to go all out on monetization schemes to 100%?
Hub style is fun. Just make a heavy stamp and ultra bomb PA folder and watch the game melt.
>20 hours
Yeah, maybe for someone new to the series, or if we're including post game content. It doesn't take me anything less than at least a good 8 to 10 hours per game, personally. Then again, that's not really fair since I've played these games multiple times.
You do realize there's a new Wifi exploit for DS games, right? It basically tricks the game into thinking there's wifi connection, or something like that. I think you may need a hacked 3DS, though. On another note, those guys are pushovers.
What does 100% entail, exactly? Like, beating the game, getting all the battle chips, and clearing the post game area? If so, I do that for each game. The only thing I never manage to do, is get every single star/emblem on the title screen. I think you need two players, or in general wifi for some of these stars, so it kind of sucks
For BN yes for SF fuck no
I unironically admit that I like BN4, solely for Thunder, and Wind Soul. It made me sad that Glyde didn't get a Soul in that game, since there's Roll and Guts Soul present. If only the battle chip selection wasn't so shit, you could get all the Navi souls in one play through, and the chips weren't divided across multiple playthroughs. BN4 would be a lot more manageable.
>The only thing I never manage to do, is get every single star/emblem on the title screen.
That's exactly what i mean by 100%. Closest i've ever been to reaching that goal is beating Sirius in SF3
Why? It's far easier for the SF games.
Based Shukoposting. Also, same. I think I have the most emblems out of any BN/SF game in SF3.
>inb4 "GRID"
I have the most emblems in MegaMan Battle Network 5 only because I got all Giga Chips and all Dark Chips in that game
Because it's fun to do in the BN series while the gameplay of the SF games is pretty arse if not tied to a story narrative.
SHUKO I LOVE YOU!
I find undertale's Shit to be cringe incarnate. Pribably has to do with the fact that Toby Fox designed most of it. MMBN is charming because it was most likely the localization team having lots of fun and joy.
This professional motherfucker was h*cking nuts and I loved it. Fire/Torchman was a close second.
>Forgot pic
That's what I get for mobileposting.
i've seen so many people begging capcom for a bn collection everytime one of their other collections get announced.
Surely it's not a matter of if anymore but a matter of when.
In the world of Battle Network, that seems incredibly likely.
Yes, Undertale is a very Jewish game
Runner-up would probably be Flash Man.
Redpill me on the Battle Network series, lads. I've only played the first one.
2, 3 and 6 are really REALLY good. OSS, 4.5 and 5 are good. Vanilla 1 and 4 are annoying. Fuck BCC
Yeah, BN1 is really tedious. They definitely hit their pace by 2 and 3.
I've always considered 100% in BN/SF to be unlocking/defeating the hardest version of the final boss and getting the extra "congratulations" screen.
Burner Man had an excelent design and fun personality, shame his only aparition is one shitty scenario in one of the worst MMBN games ever.
KONO ORE NO SPEEDO NI..
TSUITE KURERUKA!?
Don't bother replying if you abused Invis1 like a cheap pussy
Which versions of 3 and 6 are said to be the best?
I've almost tempted to boot up my Wii U to play this shit again.
Quick man is pathetic, his attack pattern was way easier than Bright man.
restored blue for 3
restored falzar or the dabbing one for 6
I love Battle Network so much Yea Forumsros...
Why is she so hot bros
Uh, did they ever interact? I thought Pride was Team Colonel and Raika Team Protoman.
Anime
There is something about Tenguman i always liked.
With 4, it's basically the difference between Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. They both have largely the same plot, but the 6 possible stories in each game are different, and since you get a random 3 of those stories in each playthrough (though in new game+ and new game++ you are guaranteed to get 2 and then the remaining story you haven't done), there's a lot of replayability between the 2.
Shuko is an autistic girl
And that's why i love her
Where's the joke, fuckley?
bump
These games honestly have some of the best flavor text, and general humor in all of gaming. I have yet to play anything else with so much love put into just the randomest of dialogue.
It always upset me that those Navi x Operator unisons in the anime, never made their way into the games somehow. Having the operators jump on some form of cyberspace was so cool, and they could have done a lot with it in terms of gameplay. If BN is ever revived as like, a reboot so it doesn't interfere with the original series, I'd want them to make use of that.
>they split the games for the collection again
>Zoomer """""Humor"""""
>BN&SF Legacy Collection Red
>BN&SF Legacy Collection Blue
>BN Legacy Collection Blue
>BN Legacy Collection White
>BN Legacy Collection 2 Orange
>BN Legacy Collection 2 Black
>SF Legacy Collection Pegasus/Zerker/Black Ace
>SF Legacy Collection Leo/Ninja/Black Ace
>SF Legacy Collection Dragon/Saurian/Black Ace again
>none of them include Network Transmission
>BN4 is still shit
>SF2's random encounters don't get fixed
None of the MM1 robots really changed radically going from MM1 to Battle Network, probably to be in line with MegaMan who's identifiably a Mega Man incarnation. Come to think of it it's mainly the Mega Man 3 and beyond RMs that get the most changes.
damn, Heartless looks like THAT?
4 is the peak of the series.
Absolutely loved this guy.
Who in their right mind would play BN4 99 times?
Blue Moon was awesome and I was incredibly surprised to see BN4 so reviled online back in the day. Then again I also loved Liberation Missions.
One positive thing I can say about 4 is that it let you get bosses from the other version into your game, you don't get their souls but you can refight them for navi chips.
>Then again I also loved Liberation Missions.
I thought I was one of the only people who liked Liberation Missions, but they were honestly fun for the most part. Now the bitch ass post game liberation missions.. yeesh.
I'm just mad there weren't enough dungeons in the game. There was the Radio Tower, Castillo Robots, and the Space Laser, but I think that was about it.
post game liberation missions were kino what are you on my man
