Why yes there will be sycthes in nioh 2
NIOH 2

Who give a shit, i want to fuck monster girls
Not for players though.
This is your new waifu for tonight
She's no Okatsu but it will do
Seeing how Nioh 2 has a fully fledged character creator, I wonder if it'd still let you transform into NPCs?
Where did you get these renders?
oh my
I just googled the other user's image which led me to some taiwanese gaming site.
I believe so, the hidden teahouse is in nioh 2 as well
I like her armor
Just found the Japanese website that have these renders in good quality
gamecity.ne.jp
BIG FAT CAT TATS
BETA IS TOO FAR AWAY
>tfw PCfag and I will have to wait another 2 years to play it
FUCK
I have a PS4, so I'll try out the beta, but I doubt I'll be picking it up at release. Nioh is not a game I'd be willing to play in 30 fps at. And 720p at 60 fps is far from ideal. Does base PS4 even get the option to prioritize fps over resolution anyway?
is this gonna be another looting fest where all the game is about min maxing faggotry or will it be more action oriented?
She's literally Okatsu.
Yes.
Okatsu is not even born yet in Nioh 2. Its like 50 years before the first game.
She literally looks better than Okatsu, though
Ancient Japanese fighting style coming through
I'll be the judge of that once i see her feet
>Chatos Witch Wheelag
Can't wait to be a MILF.
>tfw no Okatsu barefoot model to play with
Scythes are the best weapons. We need more games with scythes
Farming simulator 2019 looks rad!
>this kills the female Westcuck developer
Question
Is Nioh 2 going to be story prequel or sequel?
Prequel, takes place mid-era and we work for Nobunaga to some degree.
Hideyoshi is our Hanzo it seems.
Gotcha
Oh fuck, really? I hope it scales from Spirit. I am so hype for this fucking game.
I loved the lootfest part of the game, though.
>action oriented
What are you saying? It's an action game. Are you saying you don't want stats or something?
Can I play as the cute girl though?
I couldn't get into Nioh 1 because I don't enjoy games about old men.
>Not for players though.
So dual axes are the only new weapons we're getting ? That's pretty shitty
You make your own character.
I will miss William tho.
What I like most about William is that he made it into Musou All Stars, and he's the only character in the game that speaks English, and people comment on it.
>tfw William has more personality in Musou All Stars than in his own game
>she's a demon hunter
>probably going to fight us at some point before falling in love Okatsu style and getting cockblocked by some guardian spirit again
yeah less emphasis on the rpg aspect with fuckhuge numbers and shit and more on the gameplay and mechanics, kind of like sekiro.
There's been no confirmation on what new weapons are actually in the game but having a human character with an in depth moveset like this is being taken as many that scythes are going to be a new weapon for players. Fuck I hope they are.
>Not for players though.
They are used by the same enemy type that was using hatchets in alpha
I personally think that sounds horrible. We already have some games like that, Sekrio, for instance. Then there's that other game coming out, Ghost of Something. But to each their own I guess.
>Implying it will be a Guardian Spirit and not the love of killing oni and other demons.
>We will end the game as an evil reflection of Wirriam and live in the underworld with Izanami just because.
>I personally think that sounds horrible
why?
Not that user, and I honestly like both. But as he pointed out the action niche of the genre already has quite a few games available, while Nioh is more unique in its looter game approach to soul-like.
Scythes, choice weapon of the weebs
But also undeniably the coolest
I really like the stat heavy aspect of the game. I like looking for better loot every time something drops. I like balancing my stats and trying out different combinations to alter my builds. And in general I love rpgs, so without those features I definitely wouldn't have found the first game so fun.
*edgelords, not weebs.
Weebs stick to their katanas.
Just give me my dual swords and I'll be happy.
They're already in the game though?
Unless 2 outright replaced them with the hatchets.
Which, honestly, would be better, because 2kat was kinda redundant when 1kat was already in the game and had the same skills but better.
No, doesn't actually remove old weapons.
Hatchets are just a STR/VIT version of dual blades.
2kat is cooler even if it's worse.
Now that's only multiplies redundancy. I guess they might be demand for a fast str/vit weapon. But that just strikes me as odd. If I put points into str and vit I want to hit an enemy so hard with my big dick weapon, that the second strike wouldn't be needed. Fast weapons is what dexfags want.
Although... if unarmed/fist weapons were fast str weapons, I would be willing to give them a try, because pugilist archetype is pretty badass. How's unarmed in Nioh 2? I've heard it was nerfed pretty badly in the first game after the alpha/beta. Although I never really tried building one myself.
>not a foot person
>visibly aroused by digitigrade paws
whats wrong with me
Yeah i guess i understandy our point, maybe ithe sekiro approach suits me more.
I just hope that nioh 2, even while keeping its rpg aspect will be an improvement over the first one.
The core combat in Nioh was already really good (well, before it gets blown out by the stat bloat in the late game). What that game needed really badly was better enemy variety, because with so few of them in the first game, they quickly stopped being a threat once you learned how to deal with them. So when you meet them again later in the game, they no longer posses any threat to you despite having inflated stats, because you can read them like an open book.
Scythes are "weapon" of choice for a fucking farmers.
>once you learned how to deal with them
and then they get new moves
They never do.
The generic oni get kusarigama (which were only added with the DLC), but it's not like it's the same enemy with the new moves. They're inseparable from their weapon and have the same fixed moveset associated with it.
In Way of the Demon/Wise some enemies get new attacks to catch you off-guard.
Like the oni ass-slam (they do it if you try and abuse hitting them on the back).
the fact that you have to get to ng+, ng++ and such for ennemies and recolors to finally have new moves is kind of absurd
I've played all the way up to WotW and didn't notice any. If they really do get any new moves, they must use them very rarely, if at all. But that would be too little too late anyway, because at that point in the game the power creep from the equipment far outweights the action gameplay.
The thumbnail made me think that was a shop with Sakurai's face.
Yeah, the new moves are mostly unnoticeable.
The real challenge comes from some of the ridiculous debuffs/buffs enemies apply or get.
t. finished WotN and played a shit-ton of Abyss
The flat stat buffs are pretty negligible, because they don't change the actual flow of the fight. You still parry, break the ki, cut off the horns to exploit the downtime, etc.
it's because of the damn haircut
