After playing it for a few hours I honestly find myself just kinda being bored
It basically missed most of what made Borderlands 2 (and to an extent, TPS) enjoyable.
The loot system sucks now, every single enemy seems to drop a common weapon so they are completely useless (and if they weren't, why the fuck would you bother scanning through a sea of shit weapons to find one that MIGHT be better than the one you currently have), and to account for this Gearbox decided NOT to upgrade your inventory, and also put MAYBE 1 or 2 marketplaces PER MAP. So your inventory is full 90% of the time.
The guns themselves feel fucking shit as well. Not nearly as heavy or satisfying to shoot as in 2. Combine that with the fact that even common enemies are now bullet sponges and gunplay is just fucking boring.
There's too many side missions as well. When you complete a single 5-minute story mission, prepare to do some 30 minutes of side missions. Boy am I glad Gearbox decided to up the difficulty level for the story missions so you HAVE to do the side missions, else risk being under-leveled and the enemies being even more of a bullet sponge.
The boss fights are ok, although their designs are completely uninspired compared to the first game, usually just being a slightly bigger version of an enemy you've already seen.
And this all is without mentioning the terrible performance on even high-end computers (I have a GTX1080, am playing it on 1440p (75% render scale), with only medium graphics settings, and the game STILL lags in menus, or even when fucking aiming down your scope), as well as the flock of bugs in the game.
It's just too much shit. It's like they've taken BL2, and decided to make it more like the piss-stains that are Destiny or Anthem or some shit. It's god-awful.
