I purchased DoA Xtreme Beach Volleyball and the Xtreme 2 because I was a big fan of DoA back in the day. It was alright, but I'm not under any illusions that I would have bought an identical game that wasn't DoA branded fan service.

The constant 2B threads on Yea Forums definitely kept Nier in my mind so when i eventually saw it on sale i bought it. It wasn't the sole reason i got the game of course, I played the original Nier on the PS3 and liked it so that helped my decision too.

Depends on what you mean by "fanservice"

If you mean in the term that it services the expectations and anticipations of Fans, there's two games I bought based on that.
The first was MGSV, because I legitimately expected it to finally give some attention to the original Metal Gear MSX games, I regret that decision because the game barely touched on that and aside from the aesthetic looking vaguely like the MSX games, the game was a fucking disappointment.
The second game was KCD because of the amount of fucking references to Czech history and old historical movies (like Jan Hus), I kept my expectations low, but needless to say, I got pretty fucking surprised at how faithful it was to the original historical events that occured and how it seemed to heavily hint and foreshadow at the Hussite Wars. My one complaint is the lack of Czech language dub to make it authentic, because the retarded 'high middle ages English accent' is one of my most hated cliches when i am watching a historical movie. Other than that, no regrets.

As for actual sexy filled fanservice. I'd have to say the closest to that which happened to me was that time that I bought both several Sims games and Skyrim for the pure purpose of the lewd mods and I do not regret it one bit (except for Skyrim because I didn't buy any of the DLCs which were necessary for some mods and now the DLCs have been removed from Steam because of the HD Special Edition, thanks Todd)

I bought this, Atelier Iris, and Growlanser Generations with my dick and Growlanser was the only one that was fairly competent, mainly because of it's excellent localization by the late Working Designs.

MC:ToB was a shit fest: slow ass gameplay, long load times, trash voice acting, and a fuck all story that goes off the rails towards the end.
