I haven't watched the anime for part 5 but the manga really makes giorno seem like the most boring jojo ever while having splendid side characters, much like stardust crusaders. I'm at part 6 now and I'm glad Jolyne is so much more expressive but still has some decent side characters.

They mostly do outside of very particular adventures of their lives or if they simply go hunting conflict.
Hell Jotaro even kept investigating Stand shit and even then things sounded relatively uneventful for around 10 years.
Depending on your stand it could be a massive edge over normies in various ways even if it's as simple as having a helpful ghost at your side.

I would fault this more if not for the need for the actors to keep up with the mouth movements of the JP. I actually watched this episode in JP earlier today. Tonio keeping his accent is significant because in the JP he also speaks like a foreigner, namely with the way he speaks in almost awkwardly clear sentences that are ended with "desu" rather emphatically. It's obviously meant to be with an accent, so this is a good move on the ENG dub to try and capture that.

Also, Tonio being a one-off character unlike those of Part 3 means they can get away with it. Not really the best accent I've heard but at least they tried.

Honestly I don't know what the fuck is going on with these Jojo dubs. ViZ is usually good at nailing the stuff they have but fuck if they can't properly coordinate a cast to make Jojo sound as good as it ought to.

Compare it to the HxH dub and it's night and day.
