What was the first game you bought with your hard earned cash?

Was it worth it? Do you still have it? Mine was Halo 2 LE, it has built up some rust on the edges over the years.

I really wish I owned this and that rare marathon 2 box

I'm not entirely positive, but I think it was Ocarina of Time. It was either that or Twisted Metal 2.

Timesplitters Future Perfect off my paper round.

I've never bought a single game with my own money in my entire life, and I started pirating 25 years ago by literally copying that floppy.

can't remember anything before the tragedy

the surge 2 hopefully its good

original Link's Awakening. definitely worth it and still have it.

Persona 3 FES

Destroy All Humans because my mom wouldn't buy me T-rated games so I had my neighbor drive me to the store to get it, but she bought me Halo 1 and 2 which I always thought was funny

Fable 2

My grandma bought it for me :)

Maybe you can get your grandma to help you with reading comprehension

What a fucking disaster.

I'm so sorry...

How does it have rust? I have the same on and mines fine, did you leave it in the water?

I remember walking up to someone at the electronics section and busting out a $100 bill and the lady saying something. That was when games were still $50. Good game.

Pokemon Crystal, $42

Takes me back

I'm 26 and have never been employed in my entire life.

Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube.

That was more than 20 years ago. I don't even remember. I know the first new console I bought with my own money was a PS1 but I had bought some used consoles before that.

If you are counting from like moms allowance and birthday money from my deadbeat dad Star Fox on Super NES.

If you mean my own money from my personal 9 to 5 job it was Resident Evil Outbreak on PS2 with all the fixings (game, hard drive, keyboard, network adapter, etc). Blew half my paycheck on it.

Billy Hatcher. It'll always hold a special place in my heart.

Nioh. Totally worth it. I was a long time pirate. Nowadays I buy games that I like or think is worth the money. I also bought some games that I pirated and played before.

>it has built up some rust on the edges over the years
What? How?

Command and Conquer: Renegade. Had a blast.

Blue Dragon with wagie money

If we're talking allowance money, it was probably either a sega genesis or PS1 game

Most likely salty air. Could be near the coast.

I remember when Halo 2 launched. Took multiple trips to Gamestop to trade in a bunch of DVDs to get it.

Same.
