Hello Yea Forums! The first test of this concept revealed some issues, but after making some changes and fixes it's time for the second run. For those who didn't catch the first test a few days ago, what I'm essentially trying to do is create an NPC in Skyrim who can infect other NPCs (turning them into the clone NPC), split in two, and evolve. The infectious NPCs also have travel AI behaviors which allow them to spread to different cities every Sunday at Midnight. After encountering some difficulties with those behaviors working right last time, I think they are now working as well as they can in Skyrim. To be clear, I'm not sure they can ever work as straightforward as they did in my Oblivion version of this, but they function well enough that clones will reach the major cities EVENTUALLY, though they may walk some of the way there. It may take time.

So here we go, Yea Forums! First order of business, where would you anons like the infection to begin at? Somewhere with many weak NPCs is best, guards are very dangerous to the infection in its early stages.
Right, and additionally, though I wasn't able to put quest markers over clones, I was able to get a mod that will allow us to track certain clones, though an evolution will remove the tracker, unfortunately. Additionally I learned that a big part of why the travel behaviors weren't working was because of my timescale acceleration (which sped things up in the Oblivion tests but seemed to move clone NPCs to a holding cell in this case).
Looks like it will start in Riverwood. I'll try a single-clone start, though like trying to start a fire with a single spark it doesn't always work. Stand by.

Skyrim has a pretty good chance, what i've noticed is the AI for combat is braindead retarded in Skyrim. Maybe buffing the Tier 0 clones and upping their infection rate would be good or have them spread in a pack going to one place globally. Cause right now they spread out and die too easily.

Looks cool op, any chance you'll release this once you've finished it? This could be fun for some sort of zombie survival scenario, hole up in one city, try and protect it as the rest of Skyrim slowly erodes. Maybe someone could add onto it to make less and less resources as it progresses.
Hey nickies, i'm going to bed so heres some suggestions for next time 1. Make the infected travel in groups, when they split they all die as they each have individual towns to conquer and they all end up dead as fuck. Making them travel as a group is way better and increases their survival chances.
2. Make the infection rate for Tier 0's a tad bit higher or maybe make Tier 6's spawn 5 Tier 0's per kill, or hell maybe even 2 or 3 Tier 1's
3. Find a way to load the entire world at once, it seems like when you exit a chunk, the world enters into a hibernation state. People are still being attacked and dying but when you jump everything is suddenly loaded in, I noticed this when you went to several towns and suddenly NPC's pulled their shit out despite being attacked
3. Better priorities, though this is probably a Gamebryo issue, they need some checks or something to check if they are standing still and if they are tell them to go conquer a town or meet up with the nearest clone, too many clones stand around doing nothing when they could be conquering.
4. Make levelling up occur more often, maybe less and less HP to level up. Maybe with Tier 0 at 75% hp you try to level up, Tier 2 60%, Tier 3 50% Tier 4, 30% Tier 5 15% and Tier 6 like 5% HP or something, of course couple this with the existing chances to succeed, but this way we'll see the clones get more powerful quicker instead of watching as 1 guard kills 20 Tier 0 clones.

What if you create a Nickies Black with AI programmed to make him hunt down clones? You just have this random singularity that shows up occasionally to stand against the horde. Could be a funny optional feature.

That's actually how he worked in the Oblivion version of the mod once it was released. If you spawned him he'd roam around like a clone and slaughter anything he'd fine; he was a lot stronger in Oblivion tho, due to the 100% Reflect Damage.

Oh and I'm actually not opposed to this. I want to add a 3rd clone faction after Opposing Clones are done and perfected, and after Doctors are added (but probably before Crusaders and the Parasite). I'll probably have a thing where Yea Forums creates the third clone's appearance or something like that since idk what to make it.
Finally, before I head to bed for the night, I'd actually like to thank the mods for cleaning up the thread early in without deleting it outright. Well shit you went to bed while i was drawing this terrible thing, but here an idea for evolution, Tier 0 is the same But when going Tier 1 they get a base class, just using typcial melee/ranged/magic types Tier 2 They'll get a sub class based on their T1 class, so like the melee dude can turn into sword and board, two hander, or dual wield Ranged can go more assassin styled, keep with range, or maybe like use poisons or something, i was just trying to keep a 3 split here Mage can go summoning, pure elemental damage, or illusion magic to cause more chaos T3 would just be stronger subclass but the same as T2 T4 They'd get more could get more changes, Like the Sword and board becoming more paladin like and gaining heal spells, or classes combining with like assassin and illusion magic combining so they can go invisible and get better sneak attacks, or a classic spellsword/battlemage Or they can just get stonger with some, like summon getting necro spells and pure damage getting more AOE T5 would just be getting stronger again and you have your own stuff for T6 so you do whatever with that
