What went right?

What went right?

Focused on gameplay for both PVE and PVP as well as replay-ability.

Cloth physics were a nice addition I guess. That's pretty much it.

bonfire ascetics

Literally nothing went right.
Just look at how the development went down.

being able to respec levels and nerfing pyromancy by giving it stat requirements

The levels are all distinct from each other both in terms of visuals, enemies, level design and gimmicks, and none overstays its welcome, not even the shittier ones (like Earthern peak).

I think this was the true key to replayability for DS2. I loathe the idea of starting a new character in DS1 or DS3 and have to redo Lothric or the Burg. DS2 is way more fun to progress through.

> nerfing pyromancy by giving it stat requirements
Fuck you that's what I dislike the most about DS2.

damn man, sucks you can't be a pryo god at level 1 anymore lmao

...

It's the only one that is fun to play

The combat was really well done.
Graphicfags can't deal but they're subhuman anyway.

HEY GUYS WHAT WENT..... (fake spoilers) RIGHT! (fake spoilers)
HAHAHAH GET IT? Get it cause dark souls 2 is a terrible game and is notoriously terrible but i am going to pretend that it's not terrible. You thought i would say what went wrong but i swapped the word wrong for right in a hidden spoiler tag.

Do you guys get the joke?

>is notoriously terrible

Back to school, zoomer.

Scholar of the First Sin. Also, has the best DLC of the series, hands down.

Truer words were never spoken.

The combat was trash though. It was worse and felt less responsive than fucken DaS.

THE FIRST MOOKS WERE COOLER THAN THE LAST GAMES MOOKS, WHOOP UR ASS

>Yea Forums bitching about ds2 forever
>Yea Forums literally spending their time splicing and reposting launch ds2 webms to argue on fucking Yea Forums about ds2
>meanwhile me and the rest of the cool dudes enjoying ds2 perfection

Based and scholar of the first sin pilled

>felt less responsive
Wtf does that even mean lmao. You press buttons you do things.

Powerstance was cool, but it's too bad it wasn't more useful. It always seemed like two handing a weapon was better, or using a one handed weapon with a catalyst.

What i mean is that it felt slower and somehow even more clunkier than its predecessor.

I was going to try explain it but that would require me actually going in depth about things that shouldn't even need to be explained and a waste of time. If you need someone to explain the difference of feeling responsiveness has, such as movement in GTA compared to dark souls, then it's probably a little too advanced thinking for you so don't worry about it.
