Havent tried PS3 yet, but I've been running BOTW at 1440p with a Ryzen 3700, and I've been getting framerates of 45-70 depending on the area.

Dragon's Crown. I was trying to do Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes but it crashes every other stage. Something to do with the shaders not loading in and the sound bugging out. It will work after reloading though but still puts a damper on things.

And it's not like the 360 couldn't handle the games at 720p60, so if the people who ported them could've easily made them run at 60fps they would've.

Historically speaking Intel has been the place to go for emulation because it offered the best single threaded performance you could find. I think that changed recently though. Not sure since I don't do any testing myself.

Not historically speaking though, from 2008-ish to 2017-ish it was very much an accurate meme. AMD went hard into more cores and multi-threaded performance emulation is usually very single-threaded bound because all your old consoles are natively single threaded and any multithreading you're doing with them was usually in the form of a hack. Now though we have PS3 and Wii emulation and both of those are naively multi-threaded meaning having a really fast single threaded CPU is less important now also the Ryzens are just catching up to Intel on single threaded performance so times have changed but the meme existed for a reason.

Trying to get some PSP games working without a ton of lag. I dunno what it is about PPSSPP but I swear the lag it adds is so noticable. Playing ultimate ghosts n goblins and when I hold a real psp up compared to emulated the emulator is like 4 frames behind real HW. Every other thing I emulate has no noticeable lag to me.
