I can't understand why people get so butthurt over the allegations that epic games store has spyware or someshit, like unless you're hoarding bomb schematics/government secrets on your computer why would you care if Epic sells your analytical data to China? help me understand because apparently I'M retarded

>guaranteed replies

>I like licking the boots of corporations
>why don't you?

i dont even buy games on their launcher i just have an acc for the free games they give away, i dont really see how this is bootlicking tho

Frankly, OP, I never gave a shit about that. If I'm installing it on a computer used only for video games, it actually doesn't matter.

The thing is, Epic sucks ass anyway because they're anti-Linux and because they engage in anti-competitive business practices rather than just updating their client with basic features everyone else has.

The store doesnt even have a shopping cart. If that alone doesn't convince you that the epic store is an inferior product then you're nothing more than bootlicker.

Oh yeah i completely get that stuff, perfectly fine to dislike them for that. I just can't understand why people get so mad about them selling your data

>argument from fucking gorillion years ago

what do you NEED a shopping cart for? like how often do you buy 5+ games at the same time what

>i'm just asking a question because i dont understand but ok
what the fuck does this have to do about the question i asked

>like how often do you buy 5+ games at the same time what
yeah, why would you buy multiple games on events such as sales, like epic's last sale that banned people for buying games

you're an imbecile arguing for a worse experience for yourself. Why the fuck WOULD YOU NOT need a shopping cart? Do you like to you loging into paypal 5 times into a row?

Because it's my fucking data. It belongs to me. It doesn't matter if it's launch codes or obscure MMD porn with a model that isn't used anymore. It's my data and I don't want other people to see it, and that is the only reason I need. It's also a vastly inferior product that is behind the efforts of pretty much every other storefront that relies on people forgetting that GoG, Desura, itch.io, and the humble store exist so they can pretend to be the brave fighters against the """monopoly""" that Steam supposedly holds (but doesn't).

On the bright side, Epic launches stupidly fast because it has barely any features. For wanting to just instantly get into a game it's amazing.

it's not really a big deal to wait 3 extra minutes while shopping to make seperate transactions /shrug
yeah but what worth is it to you? what's the worst that could happen if [foreign company] sees how long per day you use [application]?

>how often do you buy 5+ games at the same time
Pretty much every time I buy games.

You see, while some people (retards) buy each game on release day for $60 plus tax, other people (actual humans) wait until there's a big sale and then buy games at a much lower price, and sometimes it's best to buy several games at once during such an event because there won't be another one for a number of weeks or months.

and my thread was asking about the spyware stuff, i didnt bring up the shopping cart initially but i dont mind the absence of one, not trying to "argue for a wose experience for myself"

>Literally a nigger

Except it doesn't matter how much you wait, buy multiple games per day = ban.
And fuck off with your *actions* you 14 year old moron. Piss off back to facebook.

>why people get so mad about them selling your data
On one side you can consider this data yours and selling this without your consent would be a theft especialy when you don't know to whom they sell those, on another side they (generally) don't even bother to get personnal information, just to narrow down your shopping habits for better ads targeting

>make seperate transactions
That's exactly what people's Epic accounts got locked for doing though.
>/shrug
fuck off

yeah but why is it so bad to make seperate transactions during a sale? it doesnt take a long time or anything, but my question was still just about the spyware i couldnt care less if there's a cart or not

OP, you're either a shitposter, shill, false flagger, faggot, retard or some combination of the previously listed.

Regardless, kill yourself.

And I was answering a question. Are you mentally challenged?
BECAUSE YOU GET BANNED FOR IT
ARE YOU RETARDED?

imean even if it is theft if they want to give me free games and sell the data that i never need im fine with that
its unfortunate that i dont care, im just asking about the spyware
why're you so mad

I don't really care I just pretend to be contrarian on this site so people I will never meet in real life like me and can pretend I have some sort of superior taste in interactive entertainment designed for children who use their parents credit cards to buy $20 skins with and lootboxes and cosmetics in mmos, etc.
