>I am forgotten
Why? It’s genuinely one of the best horror games I’ve recently discovered.

fuck off zoomer, no one forgot about it. And the company behind it made a break after three consequent games for the same IP do do something fresh. GR1/2 is great.

Too easy to get stuck in parts. It's a good concept but actually play it is a chore.

Its one of those rare games that are genuinely too hard for the masses to appreciate. That one escort mission with a strict time limit can go fuck itself.

It does seem forgotten though among non horror aficionados. No one brings it up in “best horror” threads anymore, it’s all Soma, Resident Evil, and Amnesia. I’m lucky to even see a mention of Fatal Frame. One of those two other games never even released in America. And don’t pretend like the Blood Curse remake was any good. That game sucked. Wasn’t even scary. If you ask for a list of horror games, even actual horror fans would be unlikely to mention it.

it is shit.

The second one fixes everything, also it's a better game mechanically and gameplaywise.

Because most people even in Yea Forums are casuals. Thats why they talk about Amnesia and have never played Penumbra: Black Plague which was better.

I think I restarted that mission almost 60 times before I found a way to cheese it easy. And that’s only counting the times I Could have feasibly won. I didn’t know the first dozen times that I had to complete a side objective towards the beginning of the game to even have a chance at it.

It controlled like ass if I remember right

Can I play this on PC?

Emulate it.

Not worse than Resident Evil.

>sequel is miles better gameplay wise
>leaves a lot to be desired setting, atmosphere and music wise while still being good
What went wrong?
Blood Curse can fuck itself, literally souless especially muh psychodelic final boss shit compared to based Inferno in the first

>it's a trailer with no gameplay is far scarier than game episode

>setting, atmosphere
The battleship island from Siren 2 is way better than the shitty village from the first one. Also the blind man sections were a first in gaming.

While the Battleship Island was great, I certainly don’t think the village sucked. A lot of areas were great. The abandoned house and hospital are some of my favorites.

it comes up in nearly every horror thread newfag

>siren 1 and 2 are better because they're older and therefore friggin superior!
Cringe, Siren Blood Curse refined the controls and wasn't obtuse.
>but forcing you to use a walkthrough was the point! that's why the first game is so genius!
Sure it was, keep performing those mental gymnastics you pathetic autist.

I've had a copy of this game wedged under my desk for years.

siren 2 controlled like a modern third person action game

>Why?
legit too fucking hard

>and wasn't obtuse
I couldn't tell because it ran like absolute garbage.

So what if it wasn't "forgotten", whatever the fuck that means? Discussion is meaningless.

You think anything would get more games like it to get made?

It's unplayable shit, you literally can't finish it without guides.

I can't believe nobody ever tried to steal Link Navigator from it.

Literally no.

It has good atmosphere and story but the gameplay forcing you to understand secondary objectives on hints to progress is absolutely bullshit
Not to mention that timed mission was stupid as hell

>forgotten
There's an art installation in Japan soon, no?

I fucking loved Siren
Also is there any way to play Siren 2 without being an europoor and without a pc?

Almost all of the scondary objectives were bullshit,I did had a lot of fun with it tho.

Short of modding your PS2 with a new drive, which can be expensive, the only way to play in the USA is on pc.

>without a pc
I think it's on PSN. You might try making a yuropoor account. That's what I did for some US games that aren't available digitally here.
You might try emulating anyway, it ran just fine 7 years ago, should be fine now.

Wanna know a secret?
In earliest mission for the teacher guy you can drop one shibito in the well, so he wont he able to slow you down in timed mission. It seems like they wanted it to be a mandatory for completion since its fairly easy if you do so. Most of the people who finished it without doing so basically speedrunned it.

How the hell, it should be the other way around. I remember I had to buy Siren off the US store on Ps3, there's no way it isn't available in the US on PS4!

That's because publishers need to pay Sony money to keep their games on the European storefront, but they don't in Europe!

Download an ISO or whatever of the game and play it on a modded PS2 system; if it works. Siren 2 has never been re-released digitally.

I played it and I know a few good reasons why people may have blocked it out with some bad reasons as well. For start half the game is an escort mission and I dont really need to explain why those suck. Second you have to do some adventure game logic things to unlock every level made much worse by the fact that this game is not guide friendly which hurts normies. Combat is quite janky at the best of times. Its also unfair in alot of levels in a bad way flying sniper flys that are immortal arent very fun to fight. Oh also the voice acting while cheesy is very bad.

You can also shout at her to get her to stop running away. From there there’s a blind spot right near the starting point where you can snipe the Shibito guarding the exit. Straight shot from there.

Is Siren 2 good? I've recently played the first one, hard as fuck but great.
the timelimit missions.FUCK THAT SHIT

I just checked. Only the Siren 1 is on European PSN, so you're out of luck. Just emulate it.

The gameplay is vastly improved, the monster design is goddamn great, you can actually sort of follow the story this time around, but it had a bit too much action. I wasn't AS scared. Still a great game.

>that frozen towel questline that can be completely ignored
>that omegaretarded cassette tape build up for nothing
>that randomized bottle cap archive item
>that "throw a -smoke- grenade in the dark corner of the room for no reason to discover alien fossils" sidequest
>that fucking mission about Ichiko went batshit requiring you to follow her and sneak past dead guards that can only be killed by her
I loved that bullshit for some reason.
