The ID cars are 1/18 Autoart diecast models. They're pretty cool, ~$200 ea. I also got the Nakazato R32 and "Devil Z" of Wangan Midnight in a similar 1/18 Autoart diecast model in a box somewhere. I'd recommend against buying the double-door-wide Billys, because it was a pain in the fucking ass to make a dust-tight seal between the doors and against the frame. Just get the thinner/tall bookcases that fit 1 door each, this way you're not manually tuning each door for an hour+ just to get them to meet correctly.

Also, I slightly modified the bookcases with some weatherstripping/foam tape to seal air out of the bookcases so figures never get dusty.

He's right they are custom cases. I got them not just for consistency but because loose DC games are much cheaper than looking for cased games. So I bit the bullet and got some reproduction cases for Dreamcast games so I can collect them without a disc pile.

Main example was JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Got it loose for 60 USD, while the full case at the time was around 90-100 USD.

If I could buy Nendo faces separately I'm afraid of how many I'd actually accrue.

Unfortunately I know only of two existing pieces of a character I like the most. He is one of the Blizzard characters and so far merchandise he got is extremely low quality so I don't bother with buying it as shipping prices make it even more unwise.
I dream that he will get one of those huge statues like they make at Sideshow Collectibles for $1400 like they did with Warcraft movie characters.

If you have a display for them or get higher quality ones that tend to be quite expensive which are actually neat to look at.

But that's the problem I have with them as well, you look at them once or twice and after that the feeling is gone and all I'm left with is this feeling of "I spent X on Y when I could have spent it on Z". Although I did buy the Jet Pack Crash figurine and have been quite happy with changing its pose every now and then to get that feeling back.

I feel like that's a sign of either a massive impulse purchase or that you're rather insecure about the thing you like. I think people overcomplicate this too much, when it really just boils down to a person really liking something and wanting keepsakes of it, because they also look appealing. Everything else (FOMO etc.) is just a complication of that formula.

Figures can be neat non game figures exist too little statues of stuff. The real problem is when people buy like 200 fucking figures.

I suppose so. This is actually the only figurine I've ever bought for myself (I have normie friends who like funko garbage so they're easy secret santa's whenever I participate) but previous arty stuff that I've come across and purchased because I liked it usually falls to the wayside after a week or two. I guess I just prefer more practical stuff surrounding me.

Heh, thanks; though honestly I've been at this so long I've heard all manner of jokes/insults and just don't have it in me to let it matter, personally. Thought I appreciate that, he got shafted hard and even his "fans" don't appreciate him sincerely, so I try to do my best and be at least someone who does. I even started reteaching myself how to paint WH40k minis in preparation to do his GKs as well. It's satisfying and brings me happiness/peace at the end of the day.
