good job snoy shill

user actually being a retard paying 300 for a Lite?

clip your finger nails op

Wow that’s so funny and I’m so angry I can’t believe this atrocity

This is what stick drift is? I always thought it was the stick physically tilting to one side and getting loose. That can be corrected by just recalibrating it on start up.

nearly 2000 hours total play time (mostly splatoon 2 and monster hunter gu) with my day 1 launch joy cons, no drifting. i don't what all of you are doing to your controllers.
inb4
>nintendo points deposited into your account
yeah whatever, i have all three companies' consoles and a PC.

Not all the time. If the stick is registering false inputs then there's likely debris causing it.

There's carbon paper underneath the analog stick. The more you use it, the more it scratches. calibration won't work.

youtube.com/watch?v=Z7um_1jr2vg

do you think some of us are retarded enough to buy that when we have a normal switch that works just fine?

We knew this would be an issue given the Lite uses the same sticks as the Switch. It will continue to be a problem until Nintendo redesigns them.

Do you know how much it'll cost Nintendo to replace the $1 analog sticks with $5 ones? With the millions of Switch consoles out in the market?

They are already replacing them for free in the US.

This is what it is for me, though I mean the debris still fucks with it. But blowing air under it fixes it for a while

Wow, you've cracked the code! Surely no one has thought to use the Switch's calibration option in the settings in an effort to correct the issue! Utterly remarkable.

Not a problem when you're actually playing the game.

less than 0.5% of their yearly budget

nice fabricated video. Ltierally converted to a youtuber as a religion, and making jesus face on a toast to feel close to them

>There's carbon paper underneath the analog stick. The more you use it, the more it scratches.
That's not how it works, because that would mean it happens at a 100% rate after a few hours, which doesn't.

You anticipating people calling you a shill won't stop me from doing it.

You're a shill.

>buying a console day 1
Never gonna make it.

Doesn't know shit but still has an opinion. Fuck off.

It's pretty sad though, that the thing just came out and people are already reporting this type of problem. My Xbone controller has yet to show any sign of wear with one year of use and my original DS4 is barely starting to drift after 3 of heavy use. Shit, My OG, 2002 Gamecube controller has pretty loose sticks that don't drift.

Works on my machine.

Is that it?
That's the huge design flaw that you're whining about? Just move the stick nigga.

>That can be corrected by just recalibrating it on start up
>Nintendo Switch
Lol.

If this happens after 1 day, what do you think will happen after 1 week? 1 month?

No because I already have a Switch.

N3DS
I'm waiting for better built models to come out.

3ds and no, I'm waiting for an improved Switch.

3DS.

Absolutely not.

>cucktendo quality

>2 years
>still no analog drift

Please tell me non in here is retarded enough to buy the lite. At least the normal switch doesn't get bricked completely if one of the sticks is drifting.

MHG 3DS XL, I wish I had gotten the 4U one though, that shit is sexy as hell. I don't own a switch yet, waiting for either SMTV or Animal Crossing but even then I'd be getting a regular one to use as a console.

Normal Switch. Nope.

>End of the video shows how he can manipulate the stick to "drift"

Why are you people like this?

I'll only get a Switch once it's fully hackable.

Comes with one year warranty, who cares? All problems solved.

Switch
No

That could be fixes in software by just adding a small deadzone.

My old 360 controllers all drift but I just set up a deadzone via Steam and they work fine. You don't even notice the deadzone because nobody ever uses the sticks that gently.

What the fuck is wrong with Nintendo. This could easily be fixed via software deadzone. All Xbox controllers come with stick drift except they have reasonable deadzones so it's only noticeable when manually turning deadzones off

>last
Nintendo DS.
>will you?
No, I just bought the original Switch with the neato Tegra

I got my switch during a gamestop e3 promo in 2018 where I traded a used xbox one s + $40 for a brand new switch. Didnt buy any games for it until November, when I bought Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on black Friday. Had not even played damned thing until then and it had joycon drift issues. I sent it back to Nintendo under warranty and they fixed it though.

The lite

Are we counting the vanilla Switch as a handheld? If not I bought New 3DS for cheap, one of the few regular size ones they released in the states with the Mario Maker sprites faceplates.

No, I don’t plan on buying a Switch lite, because I have the vanilla Switch already. And I don’t do anything to justify needing battery life beyond a few hours worth.

I got a n3dsxl cheap last year.
I mostly use my switch docked, so I doubt I'll pick up a switch lite unless they come out with a really cool limited edition. I considered the pokemon one but I'm just not a big fan of the colors.

I posted about this in a thread yesterday and the Nintendo shills said I was lying.

Well that lawsuit is going to happen again frens
who is ready for more free gba games?

This.
This is why consoles will always be utterly fucked. You can't do shit to fix issues, you have to hope the devs get their heads outta their asses, but that never happens.
Get fucked console owners.

>3ds
>Maybe but I might get a nomrla one now if this is happening. If a pro is annouced I will get that

A whole lot less if they're taken to court for knowingly putting out a product designed to break and being forced to issue recalls and having to replace them anyways.

I have a standard switch and a lite and the lite feels so much better to play on. The lower weight and nicer buttons have made it my go to so far

Epic falseflagging retards ITT

Imagine same-fagging this hard.

"Who cares if your new handheld broke within a week, you can just send it in over and over until your warrantee is up"

Based retard.

Wow. Almost like having detachable joycons is a plus since your whole unit isn't completely fucked if it starts drifting or the buttons stop working. Honestly the OG Switch design is the most perfect design they could have come up with for a handheld. It gets rid of the one huge flaw with handhelds, if the controls start dying then the whole unit is fucked.

It's not broken, though. The OP didn't post any sort of proof, and in fact opens up to speculation that he manipulated it to drift, instead of the drift being a natural state.

It costs just short of $300 in my dystopian state after tax ;_;

I've owned just about every console and handheld under the sun and the only, absolutely only issue I've ever had with any of them was a gamecube that stopped reading discs like 5 years after purchase. That's it

I'm convinced you people are apes

is switch lite screen smaller than big switch? i already find the OG switch screen too small

Cant we just increase the dead zone.

well there has been an influx of niggers since 2012

I am really enjoying the screen

No

Maybe don't press on itlike a jackass? I have the launch model and the joycons still work (and smell) like brand new.

Yes it's smaller.

First of all, I'm pointing out how fucking stupid user's response is regardless of OP's post. Actually that's pretty much it. It doesn't matter if OP is a liar or not because user's response was made with the assumption that he isn't. And with that it's a fucking stupid response and you should just probably kill yourself or something. Iunno. Niggerfag or whatever we say now.

Seconding this. Any issues I've had were either on 5-10 year old hardware (normal wear and tear) or minor issues like having to reset my X1X once a month because the network driver crashes.

Launch Switch and Joycons work without notable issue.

How long do you expect a company to support the device for? The warranty is an industry standard so if you expect anything longer, go pester every other company to do something about it.

>it can be fixed via software
Also how is the lawsuit for free fixes going? I thought it was won and if so why isn't it global?

Holy shit you're mad, dude.

Because the issue is usually with the left stick, not the right. Almost every right stick issue had been shown to be a manufacturer's flaw or something that happens after 2+ years of use.

blow me

I'm being a smarty pants and waiting for Switch Lite XL.

Not happening. The fact that the lawsuit utterly fell apart after Nintendo said they were going to repair all joycons for free goes to show just actually big (not actually whatsoever) the issue is.

So when the sticks fuck up again you get to send your whole console back to ninty for a month of refurbishment? hope you like Chinese second hand goods.

*skeet skeet*

Thanks for proving this isn't a real thing, only a reddit bandwagon.

Because this was supposedly a wear based defect, but now it suddenly happens instanteniously.

Just a reddit circlejerk, nothing more.

Fug. I was planning to get one as a Vita replacement. Guess I'm sticking to the Vita.

No

vitafags are insufferable
you need to move on, lads

It's a well known issue. You can reset your joycon centers in the software as a softfix but the fact that it'll happen constantly meaning eventual replacement of the stick is the driving force of the lawsuits. They're defective beyond the ablilty for the software to autocompromise.

occasional drifting is still better than too high deadzone of playstation controller

>Buying a brand new product as soon as it comes out
Literally the most retarded thing people do in this modern age. Game consoles, smart phones, digital clocks, you don't ever be part of that first wave because you know shit's gonna mess up and we've seen everything can and will go south on all of the above.

People always say that, but the common description makes no sense for this case at all.

This proves it's just a bunch of fags on reddit going full THAT kid on the internet

waiting for all the dlc characters to come out in smash so i can finally commit suicide

Never had an issue on both consoles, seems like it happens if you are an absolute tard with your toys

I think the drift issue is two-fold

1. Sticks don't snap back to dead center every single time, they can be off by a fraction of a millimeter

2. The input sensor has a very small deadzone - meaning it detects the slightest input.

What do you get from defending crappy nintendo hardware? The sticks need replacement. If you're a share holder you should argue for faster replacement to stop damage to the brand, if you're a fan you should argue for arbitration to get it fixed for you, if you're some tard... why argue FOR nitny?

Seriously, why bro?

Is a Switch Lite worth it if I just want to play Smash?

If you can play without the gamecube controller sure, you can still connect the pro controller to the switch lite anyways

Why do you bought 4 plataforms? Do you don't have another hobby? Besides who haves that much time to play.

Or maybe I just don't believe any fag on reddit everything?
Because if it doesn't make sense, it doesn't make sense.

I don't believe in crying how one defective product suddenly means something.

Nobody can post proof of wide spread problems, and every "proof" they show actually makes no sense and weakens their case if anything.

If you are crying a new console has a wear based defect, you are retarded.

>I don't believe in crying how one defective product suddenly means something.
How about any defective product means calling out a defective product you corporate tool.

Why wouldn't you get a normal switch? Smash kinda blows in handheld already due to the controls. Making them even tinier definitely isn't going to help. It's fine with a pro controler, but then what's the point of handheld?

My fucking joycon thumbsticks started drifting a week or two ago

is the split pad pro any good?
don't really trust buying a new joycon controller since i feel like it will inevitably start drifting after a while

Attached: Nintendo-Switch-Split-Pad-Pro-Controller.jpg (1000x1000, 51K)

>something happens
>it hasn't happened to me because I haven't experienced it and therefore it doesn't exist
Erry tiem.

News flash. Your switch isn't a custom built PC so variance in hardware is almost non-existent.
Corporate apologists are almost never good for fans of anything. Fans and fanboys are okay but to worship a billionaire corporation above their works and products without getting compensated takes you over to

Same as anyone.

Are they fucking serious with this shit? How is this still happening? Are they even aware? Have they ever commented on it?

fun fact: there was no hunger in socialism after Stalin died

It's $100 cheaper and you get to play games on the go. Some people just want a pure handheld device that let's them play Animal Crossing, Pokemon & The Witcher.

Only because the people in the bread line at those people in front of them after they starved first.

lol. you are a fucking retard if you spray that shit on a switch

This one is defect, but that doesn't mean your buzzword is real.

Because if you scream that is an example of what everybody complains about, that literally contradicts the explanation everybody gives of the defect.

You're a fucking idiot who completely missed the point congrats.

Nice dodge.

You're such a moron. It is widely, widely documented. The fact that there's a no-shit law suit and the fact that Nintendo adjusted their entire repair policy should tell you it isn't just some small vocal minority. Also, my understanding is it's not a solely a wear defect. Maybe that's a contibuting factor, but it's mostly a design flaw having to do with even small amounts of dust being able to get in and fuck with the sensors.

In my circle of friends, there are four Switches between us with six pairs of joycon. Every single one has experienced this problem, three of the pairs being bad enough to warrant sending to Nintendo. Hell, even my pro controller is doing it, but it's not horrible and is easy to (temporarly) stop.

Is there any reason to not hack my Switch? I've been sitting on it, but I always have these non-specific doubts that crop up and make me back off from the idea.

Attached: 71558437_p0.jpg (1113x913, 582K)

>had drift issues with switch joycons since 2018
>everyone agreed it was just shit quality on the joycons in those switch threads
>even got a bunch of nice temp fixes like replacing analog stick or blowing compressed air on it and rotate
>then the problem becomes publicized to the point it got a lawsuit going on
>now Yea Forums will vehemently deny that stick drifts exist no matter how many evidence piles up
This is the one time I'm glad Yea Forums isn't the majority and I'm glad everyone else addressed this bullshit to Nintendo, but too bad it didn't work at all

I'll never get fanboys

Attached: 1569182894124.gif (480x270, 2.95M)

My swtich sticks drift, so do all those of everyone one I know. You can scream hate campaign, disinfo, etc all you want. The hard matter is the hardware is faulty and shit needs to be done and again I ask what the fuck do you gain from defending a multinational corporation on Yea Forums? Is it a sex thing? Is it autism? What is your malfunction?

You'll get banned from the online you can't access without paying.

Imagine calling a faulty product a myth. Holy fuck I'm embarrassed to share the same fanbase as these retards

The possibility exists, however remote, of being banned and not having access to online, but that would require giving a shit about nintendo's god awful paid online in the first place.

He's using a wireless joycon btw.

What point? That a company should support a device longer than the industry standard warranty? That would be nice but those are the exceptions not the norm here. If the warranty duration is a problem, then you should be going after the warranty themselves, not at a specific company.

Why are you crying so much about people not buying something that doesn't make sense?

People already claim in this thread the pro controller is effected, which also doesn't make sense.

People make lawsuits for literally anything, lawyers smell money and jump at anything.

Why are you attacking me if you actually have a defendable position?
If you actually believed what you said, you wouldn't SEETHE this much

Launch era switch still has more value since it will always be hackable. Patched OG switches should be low tier.

I don't remember ever hearing about PS4s or Xbone's having issues this soon after launch. Hardware issues seem to be mostly a Nintendo thing nowadays, which is a shame as they used to have good quality stuff.

>this fucking thread
You'll never find a more cancerous bunch of corporate cocksuckers than Nintendo fans, and I'm playing the switch right now

Attached: 1547439756033.png (289x356, 213K)

The fact that the lawsuit disappeared overnight goes to show the lawsuit is as frivolous as they come. Do you think a lawfirm likes doing things like collecting data for free? If there was even a case, they would have went ahead with it anyway.

What doesn't make sense about it?

Attached: 1543881652687.png (295x343, 218K)

Nice. And I think Gameboy Color was peak aesthetic, weight and games but GBA SP was okay too. I disliked the cartridges of latter gameboys, thought they just didn't have the weight and feel as the heavy Nintendium machines that came before.

based retard

>It is widely, widely documented.
by a bunch of whiners who abuse their shit
I've got used trash joycons that came with my used switch that have sticky ass buttons but the sticks are still fine

I own 3 sets and none of them have problems other than the shit losing connection in splatoon, which is a much worse problem than you fathands mashing your controllers

Do people actually think the problem doesn't exist or is it falselflagging?

Aren't those the same thing? And wouldn't the latter be hackable regardless of whether or not it's been patched?

>it's not happening to me, so it's not happening
every time with you idiots

t. actual retard. Assuming the Switch Lite has those little opening flaps beneath the joysticks, all you have to do is turn off the power to the console, put the contact cleaner's straw into the flap, do about 2 or 3 quick sprays and wait a few minutes for it to dry before turning it back on, that actually solved drift issues for my joycons. Note: Do NOT use regular WD-40, that would really fuck your shit up.

explain it if it's so common

Emunand for piracy. Sysnand for purchased games + online. So yeah, there is literally no reason not to hack it now.

This. I know the Nintendo fanbase has been bad for a while, but after the first year of the Switch the group mentality just completely shit the bed and almost everyone in the community have become incredibly cowardly faggots living in constant denial. Remember how fans used to have enough spine to universally call out the original (amazingly even worse) Online plan as a bunch of bullshit that had to change? Remember when fans called out the sync issues with the original Joycons and firmware and got Nintendo to fix that relatively quickly? What the fuck happened?

reminder for everyone with an og switch to get a controller adapter so you can use any controller you want.

Attached: download.jpg (300x253, 9K)

Nigga, don't go full retard on me here. The drift issue was notorious on the DS controller, and some XBox controllers had issues 2 months in. Hell, even now people are still reporting drift issues on their controllers on various forums but no one is paying any attention to them since it's not Nintendo.

>It's happening to 1% of people.
>Therefore, it's happening to everybody and it's a large major problem.

My parents own plenty of products made in a capitalist country from the 60's and 70's that still work today. My grandfather still uses the tractor that's older than him on his farm. Try again commie faggot.

Attached: 1549927840625.jpg (531x405, 35K)

Explain what? A lot of peoples' sticks drift.

Source? I've had a PS4 for almost two years and I've never had any issues with it or the controller.

How come a wear based defect is showing up without wear?
Why are people claiming the same issue is showing up on a pro controller, even though that makes no sense?
It doesn't even use the same setup at all, the defect as described in the class action would be mechanically impossible.

If your sticks died, off course Nintendo should replace them for free (and pay shipping).
But I get the feeling this is the #metoo of gaming, where suddenly everybody was raped and coming up with more extreme stories.

I don't have a single console

I perfectly remember the following:
>switch launch
>lots of reports of failures
>sent back to nintendo
>defective units replaced swiftly
>little to no more reports of failing switch consoles
So its anyone surprised that this hapenned?
Make a thread when we have a RRoD 2.0, not this boring shit

Attached: 1563204053158.jpg (752x960, 87K)

>It's happening to 1% of people.
Well I say it's happening to 20% of people, so fuck you.

that wasn't real capitalism

>explain what
how it hasn't happened to my shitty joycons
like I said joycons have a much worse problem and that's the sticks losing connection while using them in games

there's also the other problem of how the motion gyro origin gets fucked up if you waggle them too hard

Original 3DS
Absolutely not

DS
if im gonna get a switch its gonna be the big one

Do you have data to back it up? No? Then fuck off.
And that's kind of the point. There is no real data collected, just a bunch of hearsay.

No. When I say OG I mean non-lite. They fixed the hardware exploit on units made after June 2018.

Patched switches are the same model as the launch edition, just they have change to the motherboard which blocks the paperclip exploit.
> And wouldn't the latter be hackable regardless of whether or not it's been patched?
Clearly not.

The switch lite looks like one of those chinese knockoff consoles made to trick grandparents

>But I get the feeling this is the #metoo of gaming

Attached: 1530584548462.gif (200x200, 2M)

I did, I played souls games so much, after 2 years the left analog become loose and unresponsive.

Reaction is the same, suddenly everybody is telling outrageous stories trying to one up each other.

Like a wear based defect on a console that has no wear.

Are you absolutely shitting me? Yea Forums had multiple threads talking about how bad their dualshock controllers were within a month of the PS4 launch. Hell, almost every gaming forums were shitting on them. Literally google ps4/dual shock controller and drift, you get dozens of pages of how bad it was/is.

>Do you have data to back it up? No?
Back up your 1% claim then, idiot. That was my point. But you threw a bogus number out first, so follow you're own advice.

Japanese N3DS
Maybe when they replace those shitty joycons are they seriously living under a fucking rock this was one of the bigger complaints about the switch and they didn't even get the fucking message

Because it was made in the same factory, they just got the legit chip boards fora while.

Itt: One mad asshole taking on the rest of the thread.

because very rarely you have a 100% failure rate user. "works on my machine" isn't really an argument

That's a temporary fix.

That happened to less than 1% of controllers. People just cherrypicked the few cases there was and spread it around the internet as if it's a common occurrence.

It's not like all of the people who have perfectly fine controllers are going to be constantly posting about it online. The minority of people who had issues will shout a lot louder than the quietly satisfied majority.

There's always one in these threads. Nintendo fanboys love to do it for free.

hahahaha switch trannies already made up their new narrative

I like the 8bitdo one.

Alright, that convinced me. I hardly play online anyway, and I don't give a fuck about shit like Splatoon. Though I hope my Switch is good for it, because I've been keeping the thing updated until now.

The lad had another joy con paired to the system and was moving the camera with it, nice to see people fall for shit on the internet easy.

1. For most people it's dust, not wear, but obviously it gets worse over time.
2. The reaction to accusations of rape and sexual assault and "uh oh my stick's drifting" is not nearly the same and it's very stupid of you to not only think that, but express so not once, but twice.

Its loud enough that Nintendo got a lawsuit on their hand.

My thing is this is supposedly a wear based issue, and in fact didn't seem to be a wide spread problem until over a year after the switch came out, and yet suddenly theres a controversy about it happening on launch units

That doesnt really male sense. I'm not saying drift isn't an issue, but this particular case seems like some sensationalist bullshit to me

Not that user, but the class action lawsuit had about 10,000 people, which is a rather small number when compared to the number of Switch sold.

So no proof, only Memes.
Good job proving it was never real in the first place.

youtube.com/watch?v=Lajwfg3T8UQ

At least Switch owners can install update files without it bricking their system. PS4 owners have to send their console away to Sony for repair after updating it.

The launch DS4 models had sticks that reacted with the acid from the sweat from people's hands. It was pretty bad.
But looking back, if I didn't dispose of my launch one, it was quite easy to remove the sticks and implant sticks from newer controller models. Its definitely a good idea to store old controllers for parts. You can also just remove all the insides of the old controller, take the shell and use that to cover a new controller. The shiny buttons of the launch controllers were definitely nicer.

nice confirmation bias retard

I have the 4U one and the paint on the bottom is peeling off. Shit sucks.

>24 hours
>pay for a new
What did you do to void warranty that fast?

I'm talking about the Dualshock 4, idiot. I'm well aware that the Joycon drift is a MASSIVE issue but I was saying that the PS4 and DS4 only had a small amount of issues and people just posted them a lot.

1. Still makes no sense on a brand new product to have the same defect.
2. If you don't see the similarities in how reddit and websites like it reacted, you are retarded.

>24 hours
>already covered in grease and dandruff
of course it will if you tism rage and smash it. nothing to see here

>highlighting an issue that's existed since the original switch makes you a sony shill
I hope this is bait.

Do any of you have an issue with your Switch where your joycons disconnect momentarily for some reason even though you have it attached?

Wait, so when the PS 'fans' say it's an issue, it's all lies but when it's Switch 'fans' that says it's an issue, it's all true? That's just utterly double standard as fuck.

god those golem niggers hands are fucking disgusting

Attached: weird.gif (202x360, 1.75M)

Technically all the fixes are temporary, each one just prolongs the problem from occurring more than the other.

yes. vintage made in USA stuff from 70's and before still work and are much better quality than the chink plastic shit everything is made with now.

>and in fact didn't seem to be a wide spread problem until over a year after the switch came out, and yet suddenly theres a controversy about it happening on launch units

This is actually a good point, I'll admit. Not sure about the rest of the stuff you were saying but it is strange that no one really talked about it for years if it's such a common issue even on day 1.

That's assuming everyone having the problem knew about the lawsuit as it was being drafted, or ever. I didn't know about until it was already filed or whatever, and I know of at least 6 pairs of joycon between my friends and I (who I also doubt knew of the lawsuit) that have had drifting issues.

Dude I've had a PS4 controller for years and not had a single issue. The same can't be said for many, many Switch owners with their controllers.

1. Switch
2. No, are you stupid.

10000 is a MASSIVE number, what the fuck are you saying?

>eceleb shit
Get the fuck out retard. he's painfully a shittaster as well

>many, many Switch owners
less than 1%.

Is this weird bait? You barely see even three fingertips, which look totally normal besides maybe the nails needing a minor clipping.

Just remember, the people defending Nintendo in this thread with embarrassing low IQ non-arguments like “works on my machine” that have been proven retarded 20 years ago are the same ones who spend all day spamming “snoy” on Yea Forums.
My guess is third worlder subhumans who want to fit in and only owned the failure that was the N64 console as kids with 1 or 2 games they played for 10 years straight until it literally damaged their brains.

>a finnish man's reaction image that he made 10 years ago is now used for ironic corporate shill posting

and I had a ps4 controller whose right analog stick sensor broke and started corrupting the L2 button because of the absolutely atrocious way the data handling in that device works. All I had to do to fix it was remove the same sort of sensor contact from an old logitech controller and put it in the broke one's place.

what's your point?

switch, if you dont want to count that then 3ds
no

i really dont see what the appeal of the lite is. nintendo must just be taking advantage of the retards that fell for the "its too big to be portable!" meme. you're giving up the only thing that makes the console unique, especially on a system where a LOT of games look and/or run worse in handheld.

Thank God I never got the Switch at launch. I feel sorry for anyone who had to deal with all of that bullshit.

Are there even any launch models that still function in 2019? It seems like most of them couldn't even last a month.

Given how everyone was shouting about it, from Yea Forums, reddit, every gaming website to even some mainstream ones, everyone knew and only 10k people responded. And even then, those 10k people dropped the case immediately when Nintendo offered free repairs, not replacement or reimbursement, just free repairs. The lawsuit is as frivolous as it comes.

My launch model had 0 issues, and in fact my launch joycons dont drift

just flat out not true. I've sent 2 joycons back to Nintendo and I barely play my switch. It probably has 100 hours total. The joycons made it to 50 hours use TOPS

Enjoy being cucked out of piracy

10k out of millions make it less than 1% user.

>Joycons are objectively poorly designed cheap garbage designed to break after a week of use.
>The Pro controller’s D-Pad is non-functional trash.

What the fuck is Nintendo doing.

Buy a lottery ticket. You're incredibly lucky.

Switch
If there is a Wal-Mart glitch like with the $20 joycons

N3DS
No

3 sets and none of em have problems other than those I mentioned which are much more important
and we've all had problems with the joycons disconnecting mid-game, but no lawsuits there

frankly muh drifting is a non-issue caused by abuse and is the fault of the user
there are fags here claiming it's because of dust but like I said I have used joycon sets and one of them was owned by a zoomer kid who vaped so much the shit has sticky buttons but the things work fine otherwise

stop burying them in the sand maybe.

I mean at least my system DOESN'T STOP FUNCTIONING AT RANDOM AND START MAKING LOUD NOISES. I'd say that's worth losing the ability to pirate.

Seethe

uhhhh what are you talking about faggot

a used gba
if the price gets low in my shithole country sure

My launch model is fully functional. I keep it docked all the time and never used the joycons aside from the out of box setup.

Most dont do that tho

Cope

Nice try. I own a ps1, PS2, PS3, PS4 and a ds lite and have never had any issues with any of them. Enjoy your $2000 Yea Forums browser.

>Massive
size is relative user, 10,000 is a lot but 10,000 out of 10,000,000 is merely a drop in the ocean

Hori is usually good.

>Pro controller’s D-Pad is non-functional trash.
it's still better than the xbone or ps4's

How is it seething? I'm the one with a stable, functional system while most people who bought it at launch had massive issues.

I was genuinely surprised to hear that there even was a launch unit that still worked, assuming that user is telling the truth he IS lucky.

Getting mine tomorrow but I know that these are not a true replacement for joycon. These are handheld only.

wrong

Neither does anyone who knows what they're doing chang. Don't blame us for your fuckups.

Watch the video. It's full of Switches malfunctioning within just days of launch.

I have a launch day Switch, I've played almost everyday with it, played Smash. I don't have any "drift" problem.

I play it mostly docked, and when I stop playing, I undock it and store it in a case (a normal travel case) so it doesn't get dirt or dust while I'm not playing.

Maybe treat your things better?

my switch joycons work fine. The problem is it gets way too hot playing docked.

It played a large part in getting those free repairs. If it was a non-issue, Nintendo wouldn't have bothered to replace them. But no, it's dumb to claim that the 10k respondents are a valid metric. Like I said, I personally know of 5 people with six joycon pairs that all have had an issue. Not one of us responded to the lawsuit. Some people just can't be bothered, and of course there are people, like casual owners, children, etc. That likely didn't know about it or cared enough to be bothered. It's foolishly naive and stubborn to think otherwise.

Can confirm, I live in post-communist country and shit lasts. Though it might be the same reason why most old products used to last, lower tolerances in production.

son I have all 3 and it's miles better than the other current gen pads

Same can be said for all video games, we are all trash

>first post is butthurt manbaby shilling nintenbro for free.

If you're playing docked you'd be using a pro controller.

Does the dock still scratch the shit out of the screen when you put the Switch in like the launch version did? I can't believe Nintendo let it launch like that.

Pretty sure they fixed it with the new versions within a month or two but still, that shit is insane considering the entire concept of the console requires docking it.

Not only that, it was 10k total after 2+ years. It's less than a drop in the ocean.

I have 2 joycons that drift and i didn’t join in the lawsuit because i have better stuff to do, looking at the multiple threads everywhere and the media attention this issue has talking about less than 50% failure rate which will eventually end up at 100% is being dishonest.

Every single joycon will eventually drift because they have a design flaw Nintendo refuses to fix, probably to save 2$ on manufacturing costs.

This isn’t up to debate, it’s a fact, multiple people have already opened the joycons and explained what’s wrong with them, there is nothing to argue, Nintendo is selling products designed to fail.

Still wrong.

Yes.

My dock has never scratched my switch. I am slightly paranoid and take it out carefully though

Because drift is a meme by idiot consumers and the vast amount of people have no issues. No one has even proven what causes the so called drift yet, and the usual explanation of the carbon sheet means you shouldn’t even have a problem with your controller day 1 unless it’s normal electronic failure. There’s also the fact people beat their controllers and then act surprised when something goes wrong

Yeah there's no way this isn't created by the sony fanboys who shitpost 24/7. There's just no way...

Please do basic research before giving an opinion, retard.

And the ones that broke within a week were repaired.

Naw, having your arms where ever the fuck you want while playing games is pretty dope.

Don't need to, I've already had my sticks replaced by Nintendo free of charge because they know they're fucked.

And I know plenty of people without issues for the Joycon. Using personal anecdotes is a poor representation of the actual numbers, to which we do have one. 10k people. That's as official as it gets, which is a very small number when compared to how many Switch were sold.

Lol retard. No one has conclusively proven what causes drift if it even exists outside normal controller wear and tear. Kill yourself since you are just a sheep.

Maybe if yall stopped jerking off so much you wouldnt get cum on your joycons and wouldnt have this problem

nope

Actually the only people here autistic enough for that kind of stuff are Nintendo fans, just look at all those “snoy censorship” threads spammed every day here.

The free repairs thing was actually a massive exaggeration by polygon.

That is a informal policy by NoA only, and they never made any public commitments to it.

And a follow up claimed it literally didn't increase the amount of Joycons sent in for repair.

Like I said, "works on my machine" isn't an argument. No product in the world have 100% failure rate, your experience may differ but you can't just denied the issues exist.

Fucking hell how did they fuck up this bad

N3DSXL
and
Hell no. I'll prefer a TV mode only Switch. I may get the normal Switch later, once is cheaper.

N2DSXL
Not until there's a pro version

you can't sit there and tell me I just got lucky 3 times in a row and even with one set of launch joycons
>Does the dock still scratch the shit out of the screen
that was a hoax
get a switch and tell me how the fuck you can even do this when the dock is fucking made of plastic and it doesn't even contact the screen

People are literally claiming 50 percent failure rate in here.

There is a point at which never seeing it in real life is fucking weird

relying on the nintendo guarantee and knwoing that people will be too lazy to follow up on it. In my country I could get perfect part replacement, but it'd take a month to ship to a certified fix and a month back minimum and they'd likely blame any problems on the post.

On the flip side, retards claiming it’s a massive problem have zero evidence and just have conjecture by youtubers. It’s like the PS4 noise complaints. It’s just retards.

I have the original Switch still. I have a lot of games for it.
But I've neglected getting games like Mario Party because of the issues with the Joycon Drift.
At this point, I only get games that utilize the pro controller or gamecube controller (because honestly as long as GCC is usable I'ma use it).
Hearing that the Lite has the fucking Drift as well irritates me to no goddamn end.
This shit never should have made it out of R&D.

The Vita has a higher failure rate you dumb fuck.

>b-b-but my Vita has been fine!

Exactly, and so have the vast majority of Switches.

You can cry all you want but every single Joycon will eventually drift, this is a fact. Joycons have a 100% failure rate.

It only takes a very small amount of brainpower to think about why that specific 10k is not only not anywhere near official, but also not anywhere near a valid gauge of the issue.

I think this is the best thing about the whole controversy. In the end, no one had actually proven that was causing all the drifting instead of the normal wear and tear. With allegedly so many people having this problem, you think someone would have conclusively proven it was the problem but they still haven't.

cope

>The Vita has a higher failure rate you dumb fuck.
Wrong.

So how is Ninscamdo going to handle the next lawsuit?

Unless you have some more official numbers, 10k is as official as it gets.

So, what exactly is the design flaw that causes drifting in Joycons? It's the mantra nowadays, but we've already had 2+ years to tear apart and find the issue + have someone shit out an actual solution, so what is it?

Attached: 1560430156662.png (509x417, 199K)

You not doing basic research or being well informed about an issue you are still giving an opinion about does not mean the design flaw hasn’t been already proven without a doubt.

post the video then you fucking retard. I'm not going to wipe your ass.

Honestly? Sheer payouts. They've got the kind of money thay could buy out the upcoming vaping class action in its infancy.

>do basic research
I did, I own all of them and the switch pro has the best d-pad of the group
dualshock d-pads have always been terrible because it's basically 4 separated buttons, and xbone's d-pad is way too dependent on actually making the clicks/presses for the inputs

I really hope this is just bait and not a literal 80 IQ subhuman giving an honest reply.

>user gets cheeto crumbs in his switch lite sticks

How did me wanting to buy a purely handheld Switch trigger you so hard about the Vita, a system that has reached the end of its lifecycle with little to no broken system threads? I'm happy that my nothing comment has managed to nab a reply so easily.

Neokiketrashitpisstendo™ Shitglitch® Shite© ONRY TOO HUNDLED NANITI NAIN US DORRAH HAHAHA DO U RIKE IT? HAHAHA

You see that’s the problem with you retards. Everything has a 100 % failure rate given enough time.

What you are really arguing is joycons will fail in a specific frame of time, but have zero proof. No one has actually proven if there is even a drift problem that isn’t cause by end users being retarded. Figurines break all the time due to end user retardation, doesn’t mean the design is bad, just you need to be more careful.

>what exactly is the design flaw that causes drifting in Joycons
Switch owners are usually fatasses who mash their controllers with their sausage fingers and thumbs, and a small product designed for children can't handle the stress of that combined with cheetos and smash ultimate

Except no one did prove it. For every case that shows this caused it, there are two others that showed it wasn't the so called design flaw. There had been zero consensus of what was causing this issue.

The only thing I'm seeing here is someone who did this on purpose, or a retard who can't even take care of his shit without breaking it.

Attached: 1501719216684.jpg (960x720, 58K)

>you can't sit there and tell me I just got lucky 3 times in a row and even with one set of launch joycons
Considering an acceptable failure rate for a product is less than 10%, yes the chances of you getting a defective joycon is very low

Spawn Wave proved the joycon drift design flaw and why it happens 2 years ago.

You can also watch his video explaining why the Pro Controller D-Pad is less reliable than a pre-owned madcatz controller.

Basic research user, a single google search, try to use your brain next time

Feel free to post your own numbers that isn't based on personal anecdotes user. I'll be here waiting.

Some people claim it's cheap graphite chipping off the board and causing faulty bridges between connections on the logic board. Or something. Maybe some other user can put it in more technical details.

I had my joycons for 1.5 years
No drift. Bought a second system to play SSBU with my girlfriend. Exchanged joycons with her because she didn't like the colors. The new ones started drifting within the month.

People said that about the switch being bricked by third party docks.

Months of crying how the switch wasn't USB-C compliant and how it was Nintendo fucking up.
Until it was proven that oops, the third party docks are cheap chinkshit that fired the console because of cheap USB-C pd emulation and badly made contacts.

And clearing that up only took 2.5 years.

>must defend my toys in the virtual sandbox because....
wait, why are you doing this? You're not getting paid for it. Are you?

oh fuck off retard

>3DS
>no, i already have a switch

Attached: 1558944135232.png (867x737, 448K)

Show proof retard. Actual proof, not just wah I have drift. I want before and after, and rigorous controls.

Isn’t this good though? Just return it every 30 days and say it drifts, always have a new one

No, you didn’t do BASIC RESEARCH.

HERE, BASIC RESEARCH SPOONFEED TO THE LITTLE BABY.

youtu.be/JQUiXokUVeg

How does it feel to know you are LITERALLY too retarded to notice wrong inputs? Boy this must be REALLY embarrassing for you.

ok you're trolling. Still retarded though.

It's the number of people that responded to one specific law suit. That is the only thing that number measures. It provides no reasonable indication of how many joycons actually have problems, only that it is, at the bare minimum, higher than 10k. Which still means nothing, because no one knows how much higher.

It's like trying to figure out how many trees are on the planet, looking out the window, and saying "well, I count 20 trees, there are probably more, but I'll just stick with that." Yeah it's an actual number, but it's not an accurate measure of the thing you want to know about.

>deflection
If you can’t prove this shit, kill yourself retard

I'm just pointing out how dumb your logic is. If seeing a single example of a hardware failure is enough to convince you to not buy something then you shouldn't be buying anything. There's no hardware with a 0% failure rate.

Even a failure rate of 0.00001 would still result in videos of those units that did fail.

>that one r/nintendo retard that won't stop
Or to put on the tinfoil hat, that one r/sony retard

Others are claiming its dust but that would actually be a best case scenario.

Why get you panties in a bunch of the solution to your problem is 25 cents and 18 minutes of time?

You can use that on the lite too.
You need an adapter but it does work

>10% or less is acceptable
it's not but you really diminish the importance of this shit

guarantee you the amount of people that have had the joycons flat out disconnect during use is far greater than the ones who have stick drift

Spawnwave didn’t do shit. He’s done ZERO actual testing.
Seethe more retard. I want evidence. Give me evidence.

It's not that complex. They just connected a spare wireless joycon to the system and used it to simulate drift while mimicking control using the (disconnected, but you can't tell by looking at them) Lite's native stick.

Only one case right now so who knows if this will actually be an issue or not.

But it is mind boggling thinking they know how big of an issue it is with the joycons and then they release a whole new version of the console that has the analog sticks built in and still they do not address the issue.

I know Nintendo can be fucking retarded but that would be next level.

Proof has been given multiple times, you the one screaming that it's not real. Denial isn't a river in Egypt you mad bastard.

He proved this is one way for the drift to occur, not THE way that's causing it. I can prove normal wear and tear would be causing the drift, does that mean I am right and he is wrong then?

This is what 20 years of Mario and onions do to a brain.

To be fair, one disconnect means nothing compared to a permanently fucked controller

>20 years of Mario
Dude isn't older than 12

Funny you brought up figurine because no company (at least in japan) offer warranty for their figurines. If the figurine is damage whether its during shipment or user error, they will not give you a refund

Please show me the proof then retard instead of hiding like the bitch you are. I need multiple tests and controls. That would be evidence.

>hack the lite
Are you from the future?

Used 2DS
Maybe, if I get a switch I'll play almost exclusively in handheld mode. Are there custom sticks made of metal or harder plastic you can get to replace them with?

>How does it feel to know you are LITERALLY too retarded to notice wrong inputs? Boy this must be REALLY embarrassing for you.
how does it feel to be taken for a fool once again by somebody else's nonsense video on the internet

actually use one and tell me if that shit has ever happened to you
have fun destroying a good controller because some sperg pretends to have a problem with diagonal d-pad inputs

I'll put it this way: there was far more videos of hardware failure with the base Switch's launch than there has been with the Switch Lite.

At the time it was a bit of a controversy due to that Crowbcat video but I think most people nowadays wouldn't consider the original Switch's launch to have been bad. And the Switch Lite launch appears to be going even more smooth than that.

>buy switch lite
>break it for a meme
>return it for refund
Nice.

You don't get it do you. My mind doesn't operate in the mindset where I doubt people who criticize the billion dollar corporation. My mind operates in a way where I put myself on the shoes of the guy who bought the Switch Lite and got burned, thinking that I could be that guy if I buy one now. We're not all millionaires you know.

Even if it was only one guy I would be reading his personal experience with a product I know I will otherwise be spending thousands of hours on potentially. Because the thing that I ultimately want to avoid is Buyer's Remorse. When I get that, I might never ever buy a Nintendo product ever again. So when someone says, we've got a problem, I don't sweep it under the rug. I listen to him and decide for myself if its worth taking the risk or waiting for the next iteration of the product, which I hear would be the Switch Pro.
I could be that guy. I don't want to be that guy who gets burned.

>one disconnect
you can sit directly in front of the console and have multiple disconnects in 5 minutes
shit drove me insane in splatoon and it happens on all joycons, new and old

imagine being afraid to buy certain games because your worshipped dicklick company releases faulty hardware to save 0.014 chinkoid dollars and your unit could break any minute.
fucking sand and pathetic.

There's examples of "that guy" getting screwed by hardware issues for literally every hardware launch ever. You just don't always hear about them.

Using one source, especially for a handful of examples on a million unit launch means nothing.

That's the entire problem with the Joycon drift issue, nobody really knows how many are effected.

So for people who got unlucky, it seems everywhere and people who got lucky might have seen 12 pairs that never drifted since launch think its completely overblown.

>United States court can command global actions
I mean I know we’re the most powerful country in the world, but come on

And there is no other numbers available. Whether you disagree with how the numbers are obtained or not, since it's a lawsuit and all, and the documentation is to be submitted to the court and all, if it had went through, it's the only nunber resembling to official as it gets. I get it, the numbers are skewed, but we have literally no other numbers to use here other than guessing.

As a Sony-hating, died-in-the wool Nintendofag, I can say that if true, this is pretty bad. I wasn’t planning on getting a Lite as I already have a regular Switch but stick drift on a ‘permanent controller’ is lame

Never let it be said I’m incapable of criticizing Nintendo

Not him, but it's happened to me. Not as big of a nuisance as some people make it out to be, but it happens. Sadly I wound up stripping one of the screws while trying to open it up to fix it, so now I just deal with it. But even with that, I agree it's better than the alternatives.

Do you sit right next to an open microwave or run your own radio station?
Because that is extreme.

OH MY GOD IS THAT

Attached: 1550491863654.png (607x600, 627K)

Nothing is perfect user and mistakes happened no matter how good the quality control are. Most electronic products are given an acceptable failure rate, if its go beyond that then you have to recall your products or faced a lawsuit.

So you are nothing but a retard? Because if you don’t buy a product because of one instance of failure you literally can’t buy anything. Water could have lead in it, food could have disease or be undercooked, clothes could have a hole or bad seam.

Only a retard doesn’t understand that there is a statistical chance for electronic failure.

Yup. But stick drift has been around for some time now. And since the Lite is pure handheld, the risk is more significant.

I use one, it’s a piece of shit, a good example is BOTW where you will try to change the sheika state power by pressing up on the d-pad but end up switching your shield or the weapon instead.

It’s ok, you like Nintendo and take any criticism towards a corporation as a personal attack, eventually you will grow up and realize claiming a D-Pad who can’t even reliably register the correct inputs was better than actual functioning D-Pad was a ridiculous, childish and frankly embarrassing attitude.

Who gives a shit what it costs them? It's their fuckup, they're responsible for fixing it.

That and confirmation bias. People only look for info/sites that support their preconceived idea of the situation, so it seems like it's a big issue when they focus only on tree and ignore the forest. No one ever looks up about Switch and how no technical problems they have with it.

A regular sized n3ds. Technically the switch but I don't use it in handheld at all.
The switch lite is cute but like I said, I don't use my switch on the go so I don't see the point personally.

N2DS XL and never.

Attached: 1545885844549.png (144x199, 32K)

The fact that you have to signal how much you like Nintendo dick just to post this proves how you and most nincels on this board have brain damage.

You're really dumb you know that. Handhelds have less moving parts than traditional consoles and PCs. The fact that this shit is happening on a handheld with little to no moving parts except for the sticks is embarrassing.

You're now saying that the water that I drink could be poisonous, the food I eat is bad. Dehumanizing others to defend a corporation doesn't make you look good.
And FYI you can still wear badly tailored clothes.

No, I will never buy another nintendo product

Thing with the pro d-pad is it really seemed like they had a small initial batch that were shit then the rest were fine, because some people had massive issues with it and other people ended up making their controllers worse with the tape fix.
>you like Nintendo
I have a switch for exclusives, the pro controller has been great for me
>all pro controllers suck because mine does

I've never heard of a Galaxy S9 having issues and mine has been completely fine. Buying a Switch given all the reports of hardware failure would be a massive risk, one that I'm not willing to take with hundreds of dollars.

What? She has that many.
youtube.com/watch?v=Sa-MoFgQyAw

Right, but how are you not getting that it is barely better than a random guess when trying to determine how many joycon are affected? It provides a ballpark minimum, and nothing more. It is completely useless number when trying to figure out the total. It makes no more sense to say "10k is the total number of faulty units" than it does to say "5 million is the total number of faulty units" because both numbers are likely wrong.

I can even more easily factually disprove 10k than I could 5 mil because I have faulty joycons and didn't respond to the survey. That right there makes it inaccurate, and I'm one dude. While of course 5mil is likely way too high based on common sense, you can't technically disprove it because there isn't the right kind of hard data and no one actually knows.

How are you being dehumanized by that guy?
Are you actually retarded?

>Thing with the pro d-pad is it really seemed like they had a small initial batch
Maybe it was worse then, but I got mine when Smash launched, so I would assume it would have been one of the "fixed" models.

How did she acquire that many units? That must cost a lot.

>B-BUT SONY!!!!!!!!!!!

I dunno what's funnier. You making this thread again, or the fact you care enough about the Switch Lite to mention it.

The thing is, people are actually claiming 5 million.

He'll, looking at the reaction people are claiming it's between 20-50 percent, which would be 8-20 million defective units.

That kind of massive exaggeration is why a lot of people are wary of believing in drift being a massive issue.

That's the power of being an online thot

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Botw has this bug doesn't mean it's the stick. I thought it was a hardware error tol at first when i got my switch but it was botws fault. Only believe it if it's tested with another game.

This is fucking remarkable, after all that drama about stick drifting in the past few months Nintendo made it even WORSE

Attached: 1569256587077.png (840x490, 24K)

Repeatedly being told to sit down for not even criticizing but questioning his favorite billion dollar corporation. And that one's stance of believing others somehow makes one retarded. It sounds no different to me from Believe Women. And in this case its that men are below the totem pole.

I'd say the amount of unironic shills from reddit that crawled out from the woodwork to defend multinational companies from the ones their parents didn't buy for Christmas.

They don't fix it because they know you retards will buy it again and again. Stop treating nintendo like a god.

It's okay because (You)'ll still buy it

Based

You are no believing others, you are believing one other.

And one defective unit means literally nothing.

And I've said this before, those numbers is the only official tallying done, and unless there is something better, it's all we have. We can do this all day saying whether or not those numbers are reliable and the conclusion is that we can't prove it either for or against it, but since there is no other tally done, it's all we got. Love it or hate it, 10k is the number we got.

fucking hell i've had my switch for two years now and it just started drifting is there really no fix for this??

>$300 FOR A NEW LITE!
huh????

But with that second sentence we've now gone full circle.
Now its >works on my machine
again.

He's probably a leaf.

How bad is the drift? You can do a software realignment but it's a stopgap.

>pay $260 for switch lite + zelda remake that looks like a unity game with egregious depth of field and dropped frames
OR
>pay $4 for the original GameBoy Link's Awakening for the 3DS my mom bought me

Attached: 1568055009330.png (1186x2200, 950K)

Apparently Nintendo does free repairs now (read: replacements, those things are unfixable)

Learn how statistics work.

Can't they basically solve this with an update that adds a larger dead zone?

>own original switch since release day
>play it a ton, on the go, take absolute shit care of it
>absolutely zero sign of "stick drift"
Seriously, what the fuck are you niggers doing to your systems?

whats the point if you cant even play the lite on an external screen? Are you literally looking at the small lite screen and playing with a controller?

based assbro

You don't have numbers either so you need to go back to school too.

If you want to completely fuck the sensitivity of the stick, sure. Might as well just use the dpad after that.

>You're now saying that the water that I drink could be poisonous, the food I eat is bad. Dehumanizing others to defend a corporation doesn't make you look good.
>And FYI you can still wear badly tailored clothes.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Kill yourself you spec

>How bad is the drift? You can do a software realignment but it's a stopgap.
pretty bad i push up on the left stick and it doesn't register at all sometimes and the right stick drifts every other time i move it. i would send these shits in if it wasn't a special edition shitch but now i'm going to think about just getting a pro control instead this is fucking inexcusable i've never had this problem with any nintendo console before

Or you could just get some replacement sticks and do it yourself.
I mean, you already hacked it, might as well go all in.

That is correct. It doesn't change the fact that it still doesn't mean anything whatsoever. I'm not going to explain why again.

Says the person basing everything from one example they can't even verify.

It's not because you're criticizing Nintendo, but because you're using 0 IQ nigga logic while doing so.

Tell it to someone who cares

>>What was the last Nintendo Handheld you purchased?
N3DS XL
>>Will you purchase the Switch Lite?
No because I own a Switch for first worlders.

They're fucking manchildren. They don't wash their hands, they get angry when they lose and throw shit. Plain and simple, they are retards whose mommies buy them video games.

but that does happen.
plus youre not constantly rubbing back and forth on the stick. most cases you tap it occasionally, or hold down in a direction, with slight changes.

plus people have already taken them apart to see why they are so faulty.
they always break down eventually, sometimes in a day.

That's one more example than there was at the PS4's launch.

I bought a switch yesterday and do the analog suppose to be that shallow?

Original Switch at launch

No, I'd buy the """""revision""""" with the new chipset that's the same price as the original launch one before I bought a lite, and even then I'd only do that if mine broke or something like that

There are some temporary fixes you can youtube. Software calibration has never helped me, but I've had luck using a paper clip and a dryer sheet to sweep around beneath the little rubber cap at the base of the stick. That didn't work for one of my friends though, and he had to send it in. This was before it became widely publicized, and he wound up having to send them back in a few months after getting them back. But by that point they were doing the free repairs.

Are you actually retarded?
google.com/amp/s/amp.ibtimes.co.uk/playstation-4-ps4-sony-gaming-522773

I'd say check your warranty, and then check if you've got a nintendo shop nearby. I've got one in my city and they're 50/50 on repairs. I've had them just hand me new wii motes after I gave them my old ones, but charged me near full price for a broken DS screen but gave my friend a brand new unit for the same type of damage.

You care sweetie, please continue to be obsessed while Sony dominates.

Well mine was completely fine. It continued to work perfectly until the day that I traded it in for money towards a PS4 Pro(Which I've also had no issues with).

>amp
kys

It can't entirely be redditors. Even a lot of their ordinarily dicksucking ilk are calling this unacceptable.

It’s funny because you see Nincels explaining how much they love Nintendo before saying their sticks drift.

It’s a manchildren cult of subhumans.

Did you miss the point, retard?

Redditors fucking love jumping on bandwagon, that's why half the defects they talk about are mechanically impossible to be Joycon drift

Redditors and casual trolls who smelt bait then.

>What was the last Nintendo handheld you purchased?
New 3DS XL
>Will you purchase the Switch Lite?
No, I already have a Switch. I'd rather wait for a Pro or whatever to be announced and improve from the original model.

A more important question: Is the lite's D-pad clicky or squishy?

NOOOOOOOOO NINTENDO CAN DO NO WRONG FUCK SNOY

Attached: 1566418733843.jpg (900x506, 239K)

N3DS
Maybe if they release a version later down the line that doesn't have stick drift problems.

>switch
>no since it still has the analog stick drifting issue that made me totally drop the switch
I only use my switch on handheld mode 90% of the time so i was kinda hyped for the lite. Shame they still went for the shitty analog stick.

God Nintendo is garbage. I can’t believe I fell for the marketing

Switch and No.

Well know you know better, and weclome to adulthood. It goes downhill from here.

No one has actually proven anything retard. You have a single idiot who hasn't actually run any tests

Wow, thats horrible but why are you laughing?

the DS4 did indeed have plenty is shitty issues and is considered one of the worst controllers of all time

Because any misfortune for a team is a FANTASTIC WORLD CHANGING VICTORY for the other.

Wrong. I own two and I've never had a single issue with either.

Screw you I'm playing high quality Nintendo games

Because you're on Yea Forums

I got a launch switch with no scratches, no melted grills, and no drift. I only recently got a third party usb controller because I heard about other people getting drift, but I still don't have any problems with my original joycons.
Though I still think Nintendo is pretty shitty for not fixing the problems everyone else is having.

That will be useful for speedruns I bet.

Since they're repairing out-of-warranty joycons still, I don't see what the problem is. I've had a switch since launch and I just sent my joycon in earlier this week, and it's being repaired FOR FREE.

I forgot to add that the only problem I ever had was when I first got the switch, the AC cable it came with looked thoroughly smashed despite being in an unopened box.
This is why I'm not one of the retarded shills denying reality.

what a huge fucking bootlicker
worrying about the expenditures of huge corporations
Yea Forums is right, half of the faggots here are mindless bugmen bought out long ago

>purposedly break console
>HAHAH LOOK IT DID THE THING

asd

Based newfag

>What was the last Nintendo Handheld you purchased?
3DS XL which still holds up
>Will you purchase the Switch Lite?
I was thinking about it but since I live in a third world country I cannot risk to buy something that comes with defects cos it will be more complicated to send it for repairs etc

I get drifting when I play with my xbox controller on a certain emulator, all I had to do is adjust the deadzone in the emulator.

Look at this fantastic intellectual exchange everyone. We have truly evolved as a species and I don't despair for our future at all.

Got my Switch on launch, had few drifts but in every single case the solution was to clean it with WD40 contact cleaner. Also, kinda offtopic, but I don't have a single scratch on my screen and I never bought screen protector.

I'm not saying I'm special, everybody is a liar and those things don't happen. They do. But Jesus Christ, I've seen on YouTube what people do with their consoles. It's like they're throwing a brick. No wonder they fuck up their consoles.

nice meme

stimulus, response, stimulus, response
maybe there is life in Yea Forums after all?

Switch and I regret it

Hell fuck no LMAO. I still enjoy my Switch from time to time, but I bought it bc it was handheld and a home console. Why the fuck would I buy something I already have?

Hi Mike

Wait I've never had Drift in right joycon, only left one.

i came here to defend lite, then noticed that just by putting my lite in an official nintendo case, that the grey joycons have been stained purple around the edge by something, ffs nintendo why u gotta let me down

I was actually able to jump back onto the map right at the windfish egg so probably.

The Wii Classic controller did the same thing. Those sticks stain like a freshly painted wall and I still have light blue stains on mine from the grip cover I put on it long ago.

Does stick drift happen in Japan? Do they have better quality components?

It's all the same chinkshit.

is there anything i can do to clean it off? it triggers me to see the stains so soon

Bleach I guess. Though that might just stain them whiter than they originally were.

Sony wins again, baby!

doesn't matter if you bought the launch model or buy now you still get the scratch dock because they obviously don't wanna bite the bullet and make new one and throw the old ones in the bin where they belong

Yeah, sure it can be corrected by calibration. That's why it definitely fixed my stick drift issue right? This thing never really got played until 3H came out amd I've owned it for less than a year. The joycons are just absolute trash.

possibly pure alcohol. Take a swab, dip it in spirit, then rub. Don't use it on any surface that has a printed face or it'll rub that off fast.

i wanna fuck her tits

Attached: FOX OH.jpg (367x252, 30K)

Same dude

3DS XL. No. I'm not giving up being able to dock a Switch.

Yes, because PS4 has high "quality" controllers, especially analog stick. Switch drifts, at least. DS4 analog won't return to default position.

>you still get the scratch dock
Oh yeah i remember that meme now

New 3DS (never got the OG model).
No.

i tried washing up liquid and an alcohol screen wipe, might give both of these a try, no idea how its managed to stain it so much already, pretty much just put it in my switch pouch, sat it in my bag and barely moved it, god damn you ninty

just buy a screen protector user

Attached: kek.jpg (550x467, 57K)

They fixed it at some point shortly after launch and started including a new dock that doesn't scratch the screen. I got my Switch about six months after launch and it's never gotten scratched by the dock.

Just buy better shitposting nigger. Isn't it funny how the scratched screens complaints quietly died down, leaving only joycon drifting as a relatively recurrent problem? When the thing launched you faggots were coming up with all sorts of shit

WHAT, I CAN EASILY FIX THIS IN TEN SECONDS WITH CONTACT CLEANER? NO I'M NOT GOING TO DO THAT, I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT SO I'M GOING TO WHINE ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND SEND THIS INTO NINTENDO FOR REPAIRS

This is what I'm talking about. Put at 1:31

youtu.be/2kxzlN2aAaI

Is this supposed to be funny, or people actually hold and put their Switch into dock LIKE THAT? No wonder it gets scratches.

I never really found stick drifting that annoying, my ps4 controller has been doing it for months now and I honestly can't remember the last time the switch stick didn't drift

It's shit. Ds1 was the best. Ds3 runners up.

Well seems like a case for warranty claim. Happened to me the other day with a laptop I bought.

Attached: 5088a63999e25.jpg (340x486, 27K)

DSI.
NO. No plans on getting a nintendo this gen.

Nintendofags are actual corporate slaves.

No it doesn't happen in Japan because the Japanese take care of their electronics and aren't retards.

They're also really dumb. Nobody wants to be caught acting like they do. To make a fool of themselves just to make their papa corporation look good.

I bought mine around the same time and I got a dock that looks exactly like all the launch docks
when I put it into the dock it left a mark on the screen

I guess I should have waited until that screen protector came but whatever I sold the Switch already

someone sounds cranky

Switch and nope. I would've gotten the yellow lite but i was a month ahead of the announcement so whatever. Besides. Actually "switching" with my switch is really fun. I honestly dont know what i prefer. I sort of just alternate. Even when im at home. Why on gods green flat earth would I buy another one for?

I just want to buy a switch why do they have to make the console's quality so shit
