What makes Hexxat viable to be called "op" for me is the vampiric abilities. She's naturally immune to Charm, Panic, Level Drain, Paralysis, Poison, Disease, Fatigue from Haste, she has natural regeneration, she can use Domination and drain Constitution as abilities. Her stats without the cloak on are just ridiculous too. Honestly, the only thing which isn't OP about her is pure Thief.

Armor was made obsolete by crossbows, firearms and to a lesser extent longbows. Advances in weapon smithing, fighting techniques and tactics also lessened it's effectiveness. Full plate armor fell out of favour because it's cost was not justified by it's ever decreasing effectiveness.

For warrior companions in bg1 you have gloves/braces, either setting strength to 18 or dex to 18. You can fix one of their stats not both.
Khalid is one of the few characters with good constitution, and is one of two(the other being kagain) who only needs to fix one of their stats.

EE is fine, but it introduces nasty outlines and weird circles underneath the characters, and change the health bars. The EE companions are all ignorable, although they usually have a cutscene that the original characters don't get, but after that you can ignore the EE characters and it won't hurt the game at all. If you don't like that, I think GOG sells the original version.

You can switch all that shit off in options. Interface changes are lit though, looking back I have no idea how I managed to complete the original BG1 several times, looting everything each time. EE (at least now, after all the patches) is also way more stable on modern systems than originals.
This is a game that requires prior knowledge of the rules and mechanics, achieved by reading the manual or a guide. Berserker fighter is a good starting class.

I enjoy Conan Exiles. The only problem in single player is that once you've defeated the mandatory bosses, there's little else to do, because there is basically no interaction with NPCs. Also the purge and religion systems still need a bit of work. But then you can join PvE or start a new challenge or whatever you want. All in all it's a fun game, I don't care if it's not a technical masterpiece.
