You can be either one of three archetypes (fighter, mage, thief) or a mix. The system isn't deep but it is possible to find the style more or less suitable for you.
You have four armor slots. Headwear, gloves, boots and body armor. You pick the face of your character from presets and can edit brows, etc.

Money is relatively hard to come by, even if you amass and use it as efficiently as I do. While Crafting is not that expensive, I wouldn't spend on it: +1 Gloves are easy to find, you'll get +1 from Kurt later on, so just spend 1 Talent point on it whenever you can spare it.

Which means all of your funds can be used for bribing (optional, usually 100G) and equipment. Timing (and knowing the supply) is the key: with constant upgrades certain stuff can last you surprisingly long. Especially if you don't want to spend on END / AGI / STR.

The first one has nothing to do with her romance, though.

The game is poor, you can play only as a good character so there is not a lot of bad guys, every fraction is commonly good and your companions are tolerant guys. You can count "evil" choices on the fingers of one hand. If you don't mind being an extremely fair and kind guy then you can buy it. But you can vomit when your character helps everyone straight after that anyone tried to kill him upmost cruelly, you don't get a choice. It's not an RPG, every modern smoothieizometry is far far more roleplayish. It's even less of an RPG than the first witcher.

if they had planned on the death by malichor (or really any death), outlining a path of succession would be paramount if it was part of their plan
they'd have a better understanding of how long it would take for constantin to succumb, and be aware of it beforehand, as opposed to how long it would take for sardine to win the natives over, which could wildy vary, something they would not be sure of unless they themselves were there
