i agree, but they probably won't even get that far. besides that, people remember midgar, muh HD midgar is what they're cashing in on. the whole concept of this is an untenable mess if they want to remotely represent the scope of the original game by these standards but there's too much demand to pass it up

FFVII is a bad game. Remarkably big for the time, but it's overrated. Dirge of Cerberus is unironically the best thing to come from it. Remake looks like it might pretty cool from a technical stand point as well, and I will give credit where it is due if it is warranted.
